A few stools face the street, offering a view of Bordentown's quiet choreography of pedestrians and parked cars. Inside, everything feels intentional and cared for. My favorite item on their menu is the Whitefish Toast -- it comes on a fresh, thick, hearty piece of seeded toast, and the whitefish salad is dressed with pickled carrots and micro greens. It's a pretty generous portion at a reasonable price. I also love their seasonal Campfire latte, which is a rich, creamy delight with a touch of sweetness. On this visit, they had run out of the marshmallow topping but they kindly offered a partial refund to make up for it. The only downside is that this place gets packed early; by 8:45am, the only seat available was in the window. People seem to post up for the day with their laptops, and while everyone loves a good coffee shop work sesh, it seems ownership may need to institute a time limit so others can enjoy the atmosphere as well.
