    Vanilla bean ice cream

Ended the Sunday evening in Princeton with a stop at Bent Spoon and it was the perfect way to wrap up the day. Great ice cream, creative flavors, and a line that moves surprisingly fast. You can tell they care about quality and ingredients. Definitely one of the best dessert stops in town after walking around Princeton.

Wow! This place is always packed even when it's freezing out. I figured why not try out this place and see what the excitement was about. I really don't care for any ice cream flavor except vanilla so I got the vanilla bean! Now I can see why this place is always packed. It was creamy and just right!! I wish the portions were bigger but it totally satisfied my sweet tooth!

We knew little about this dessert place until we were researching of the closest sweet shop on our location after visiting Princeton U. The shop is located on Main Street and is a popular joint in town. There was a wait when we come in. The board list offers various flavors and plenty of choices , either regular or vegan products. There is a small seating spot inside and luckily grabbed chairs for both of us. We tried their Turkish vegan ice cream and was delighted on its taste . Wish we could take home some with us but not possible as it was a long drive to be home . Beautiful spot and well recommended.

Another tight little spot in Princeton at Palmer square . Abundance of unique flavors I love trying different flavors each visit . Their staff are so friendly qnd liberal with offering tasting. Using a steel spoon makes the tasting better than a plastic spoon First visit I got the Dark chocolate with ginger snap and next time tried the Mango and dark chocolate . For a vegan ice cream managing dark chocolate was creamy and delicious. Irresistibly tasty. I also loved the Vegan coconut and vanilla . This is an institution and we should respect their consistency and unite offering in the ice cream world No reviews or comments needed . Just walk and you will find something that suits your taste.

Nice cute hole in the wall ice cream place. Yes, I grabbed ice cream on an especially cold day, but I couldn't help myself. The coffee cookie sounded great and so did the ginger bread. I appreciate how environmentally friendly they are with compostable spoons and cups.

Very crowded, especially in the summer, but absolutely worth the wait. The staff is friendly and the ice cream is excellent. The double chocolate cookie was great, but the peaches and cream flavor was a 10/10.

This was a 'must do' in Princeton according to the locals and it did not disappoint! Inside was very small, as in you walk in, order, then enjoy your treat outside; however there was outdoor seating across the street at the park. Inside the people were amazing, helpful with the large group I was with and provided a quick service. The flavors of Icecream are what really make this place a gem. They are all natural homemade and unique! Lots of vegan choices as well. Some of the flavors that were featured while I was there were sweet corn, cracked pepper dark chocolate, and lavender mascarpone. I would definitely go back!

This is my go-to ice cream shop in Princeton! Their ice creams are made with organic ingredients, and you can really taste the freshness. I also love that they have a punch card system. One of my favorite things about this place is that they serve vanilla bean ice cream, which is surprisingly hard to find. Most places only offer French vanilla or plain vanilla. The shop itself is quirky and fun, with bright colors and a handwritten menu with the ice cream flavors. They also serve sorbet and mini cupcakes, Sometimes they get so busy that the line is out the door, but they move quickly, so the wait is never too bad.

There's always a line out the door, but definitely for a good reason. They are known for their ice cream flavors and thiccc hot chocolate. No "dine-in" options. We opted for one hot chocolate to share between 2 people... and it was really hard to finish! The chocolate was dark, bitter and slightly sweet, and the consistency was that of melted marshmallows. It was good for the first couple of sips, but afterwards it left us feeling stuffed and bloated.. I think it is worth a try, but maybe it's better to split among 3 people? Ty for reading B-)

Why would anyone wait 20+ minutes for ice cream? Because it's the ice cream from The Bent Spoon! This is a super cute small-batch ice cream shop in the heart of Princeton. The shop is small and they are swamped, but the line moves pretty quickly and the staff inside is quick with their ice cream scoops and a smile. I ordered the chocolate mint bit, which wss out of this world. My partner got a scoop of the grapefruit-cardamom sorbet and a scoop of the peach and heirloom tomato sorbet. She really enjoyed the grapefruit, and the peach was okay, but needs something green in it (her words) - Maybe basil. But really no complaints. What a great spot! Treat yourself if you're in Princeton to drop off a kiddo, or if youre a student working hard, or if you're a person who feels like they could use a nice treat!

My wife and I happen to stumble on this gem of a place while exploring around the area of Princeton University. The joint is situated in Palmer Square. The weather temperature was a little warm walking around the area, so I decided to search for an ice cream place to cool us down. There was a long line of costumers outside and inside during the 25-30 minutes that we were there. Even though there was always a long line, it was moving quickly. The place was small, they just have two chairs indoor for costumers and my wife and I were lucky enough to get them. What I love most is they offer a vegan option, we opted to get a vegan Turkish coffee ice cream. It was delicious, flavorful, not too sweet and has a very smooth texture. They offer a vast range of unique flavors. The place was clean, staff service was quick and efficient. Having a good ice cream is refreshing on a warm day and a comforting treat anytime. Definitely recommendable !!!

The lavender ice cream was the best one so far of the day!!! Top 3 for sure. Had a good floral taste and not too sweet~

Deliciousness in every bite ! I've heard that this ice cream shop is a Princeton staple and a fan favorite, so I had to try it while in town. It's known for its unique flavors and great ingredients. The space is small but the ice cream scoops are big. I had their raspberry flavor and the sweet potato flavor, the sweet potato was the prize winner , it was fireeee. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in Princeton and want some deliciousness .

Out of towner here: I'm here for one night and looking for an ice-cream place. I saw that the Bent Spoon and Halo Pub are both well-rated. Any suggestions on one versus the other? Or, what makes The Bent Spoon more unique? Thanks in advance!

They both unique in their own way! If I were you, I would try both places; they are just a few feet apart on the same block! Try small portions in both!!! That is my suggestion!!!

Do they still have the lavender hot chocolate right now?

When I went 3 months ago yes. Just call!

From there, I gave them a follow on social media and checked out their website. Sadly, the bakery is about an hour from where I live, but it's about 15-20 minutes from where I work. However, they usually close at 3 pm, which means I would be scrambling in right before they close or I may not make it at all. Bummer! Needless to say, I saw they do dessert orders for the holidays, so that was my golden opportunity! For Thanksgiving, I ordered a purple sweet potato pie and a banana pudding pie. I got to select the date that I'd be picking up my pies, which was on a day that I had to go to the office. During the week leading up to Thanksgiving, the bakery was closed for regular operations. They were only open for dessert pick ups. The pies were a hit! The banana pudding pie was everyone's favorite. Needless to say, for Christmas, a larger order was placed for banana pudding pie, salted honey pie, apple crumb pie, and mashed potato rolls. Now for Christmas, the bakery was open for regular operations and you had to pick up your pre-ordered desserts at their sister business, Melba Ice Creamery, around the corner. Because it was Christmas Eve and I already had a slew of sweets pre-ordered, I decided not to try to go to the bakery that day. Nevertheless, the goods were a hit again! The only downside is that the crust on the banana pudding pie was a little different the second time around, making it tougher to slice and get out of the pan. It was still tasty though! Would I return? Absolutely!
