Big win! Very happy I stopped in and found this restaurant today. I forgot to tip for my to go order but wish I didn't because the lady who helped me was very nice and helpful. With a focus on organic ingredients, delicious food, options for literally anyone's way of eating that ate much healthier than most restaurants. It is a very easy 5 stars for me. I usually lookup vegan restaurants when searching for spots and have not come across this place ever! As a friendly suggestion I would like to mention it's never popped up for me looking up vegan spots! It definitely should as there are plenty of vegan options! I enjoyed my Orient Stockpot with chicken very much. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and not too salty. I recommend this restaurant.

First visit just to try. There is a nice selection of salads and hand held. I had a quinoa and black bean bowl with added greens and carmelized red onion and added tofu. Delicious! The tofu tasted like it was marinated and then grilled. The service was helpful and efficient. The set up is like any fast food restaurant, I brought my food to a table in the nice spotless space and enjoyed. Whatever music that was playing was excellent too. read more

I was really excited when I stumbled across this place while looking for Asian food online. It's a really great concept offering a nice variety of healthier options for lunch. I was a little confused at first because the grains that are offered in the grain bowls aren't listed anywhere, however the woman behind the counter was able to help me out. I went with customizing my own grain bowl and added a bunch of delicious fresh veggies and a side of chimichurri sauce. I added on a small Asian market stock pot with chicken. Cons are that the food is very expensive and not anything that I would rush back for. I have had better tasting healthy meals from other places that are similar. The place was clean an reminded me of a healthy chipotle. Their menu has a good selection but it seems they were out of a lot that would have helped on this review. No cucumbers and no avocado is a bad start. I ordered a wrap with beef. Lots of grains and pepper and veggies. I have to say it tasted very bland. No mixture of any flavors for me. The only thing that helped was the spicy hot sauce I asked hem to add. I should have asked fo more. The beef, was good but not great. It seemed that also had no flavor to it. My girlfriend ordered a soup bowl with chicken and I had a taste. Dare I say again... bland! They need to work on their recipes a little more and add some ingredients with flavor, at the very least put in a pinch of salt. Today was my second visit to Fresh Kitchen in three days, and I'm writing a second review because YUM. I literally wish this place were my kitchen at home. For my second visit I opted to carry out my order vs. eating in. This time I ordered the Thai Peanut wrap with chicken in support of my intention to try every single thing on their menu :) Foodwise, the wrap is perfectly executed. True to its name, the tortilla and its fillings are FRESH as can be. My favorite thing about this wrap is the sauce - one time or another, most of us have probably experienced something restaurants like to call 'peanut sauce' which unfortunately translates to thick goop with a dominant nuttiness. This was the best peanut sauce I've ever had because it gives you just what you need and nothing more - a nice little bite to balance out the simplicity brought by the fresh greens. Little things do count, so it's worth mentioning that their to-go bags and containers (even down to the napkins) are of superb quality. No food leaking out of your container, no containers falling apart and no bags breaking. Thank you. As if delicious food weren't enough, the hands-down differentiator of this place is its staff and culture. Imagine being immediately and pleasantly greeted upon walking in the door. Imagine the chef coming out to ask you how you're doing and whether you have any questions. In fact, they ENCOURAGE you to ask questions. What kind of place does that anymore?! It's very apparent that the staff are happy, knowledgeable and love what they do. Also, for anyone who knows a little about restaurant cooking, they use a sous-vide to cook their meats which is really the most accurate and efficient way to cook evenly. Most high-end restaurants swear by the sous-vide in their kitchens. All of the elements that Fresh Kitchen brings contribute to a total customer experience and that "wow" feeling you get when thinking about it even days later. If you're someone who loves food, appreciates the beauty of using quality ingredients and believes that food and happiness belong together, you will undoubtedly love this place. I really enjoy Fresh Kitchen! It's a little pricey but the ingredients and quality of food seem to be worth it. I'm a big fan of the Thai Peanut sauce in the wrap and also sometimes get it added to my salad. The chicken bone broth is also hearty and delicious. If you are looking to eat clean, local, and organic, or have any dietary restrictions such as dairy, gluten, or grains in general, you need to check out Fresh Kitchen! The Basics: Fresh Kitchen's menu is simple. You can chose a salad, soup, wrap, or grain bowl, or mix and match from each category. The menu has preset soups or salads, but you are more than welcome to design your own. You also get to add a protein to each order, whether it be tofu, chicken, pork, or beef. Servings come in half or full size portions. The Soups or "Stock Pots" Fresh Kitchen takes soup and salads to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL! I ordered the half size portion of the "Great American" and it was AMAZING! The base of the soup and all the "stock pots" offered at the Fresh Kitchen is an organic chicken stock that has been slowly simmered for 20 hours. I make a lot of stews in the crock pot at home, but I have never been able to replicate the flavor of this chicken stock. On a cold winter day I wouldn't mind just ordering a growler of the stock and drinking it alone... it's THAT good! (and yes, you can actually order growlers of the stock, if you want to take it home and create your own soup or stew!). Besides the broth, the Great American consists of glass noodles, ginger carrots, celery and fennel, grilled peppered onions, garlic, and herbs. It's gluten free and dairy free. I was feeling experimental and added tofu to the stock for protein, and it was excellent! I'm typically not a tofu fan, but this was "toasted sesame panzu tofu" and it was absolutely scrumptious!! Yes, I said scrumptious!!! :) I cannot wait to try another stock pot from the Fresh Kitchen menu! The Spring Salads: The Fresh Kitchen has four pre-set salads on their menu, all made with a mix of hydroponic and organic lettuce. The variety of lettuce served in the salads is huge, from lacinato kale, marigold, red sorrel, romaine, spinach, watercress, tat soi... and probably a few others that I am forgetting! I had the half portion of the 'beanacado," which consists of cauliflower, bean mash, red pepper farro, tomatoes, ginger cumin carrots, and spaghetti squash. I added in ancho pork tenderloin for my protein. I typically don't eat a lot of pork because I don't like things super salty, but I'm trying to stay away from red meat and I am bored of chicken, but the pork was a surprisingly a great choice! It was juicy and had just enough flavor. The salad came with a dressing, but I cannot remember what it was... herb based, VERY GOOD! Next time I go I'll ask what it was called. Overall, the salad was fantastic. Wraps/Grain Bowls I'm on a modified paleo diet for health purposes, so I have to stay away from grains/breads and dairy. However, I think I will order a grain bowl next time. At the moment, you can choose a seasonal base of either mashed pumpkin or purred avocado, and I LOVE avocado! All of the grains you can choose from are non GMO. Two of the grain options are paleo and gluten free, which are the amaranth and quinoa. If you have never tried them, go order a bowl! ha! Other grains offered are farro, rye berry, freekah, and teff which I believe is vegan, but I could be wrong. I cannot comment in length on the wrap menu, I didn't get a good look at it or jot down any notes (hard core yelper here haha!), but they menu appeared to be quite good! One day if I feel like splurging I will try a wrap and report! Service: The service here is excellent. First off, I was greeted by all employees upon entering and either the manager or the owner. I told them it was my first time at Fresh Kitchen and they welcomed me, told me to take my time, and explained the menu carefully. I also asked if they minded if I took a few photos and permission was granted! I ordered my food to go since I needed to get home to my dog, but I have to comment on the careful packaging of my stock pot and salad! They give you a tightly sealed container for your soup, no risk of leakage and it stayed super hot on the car ride home! My salad was put in one of those boxes you get when you order Chinese, and they put a cardboard base and barrier in my bag to prevent the two from colliding or falling over in the car. Plus my car smelt sooo good as I was driving home... the scent of that chicken stock just wafting throughout the air!! Yummy! Random Odds and Ends: If you give your phone number, you earn a "star" for each order. Once you place 10 orders, you get 10 dollars off your 11th order. Not bad, right? You can choose to dine in or dine out. The Fresh Kitchen does deliver, (within reason) and has a 20 dollar minimum. I would check the website to see if you are in the delivery radius. I have never dined in, but the seating is nice and open, plenty of tables, and beautiful pictures and lighting hang from the ceiling and walls. If you are looking for a quick, but clean and healthy meal, Fresh Kitchen should be at the top of your list. It's on mine! read more

Trying to stick to a healthy diet so decided to give it a try. Not really sure why because there were only two people waiting for food, two waiting to order and one behind me on line with three people working to make the orders, but they were disheveled and visibly frazzled. Not a smile between the three of them even while getting helped, It took 10 mins before they helped the two ladies in front of me then another 5+ before they got to me. Ok so maybe they were having a bad day and I'd never leave a bad review based on that alone BUT the biggest issue there was the girl who did finally help me had never changed her gloves once, not even before she started my order.... She picked up containers, utensils, bags, opened and closed the door, and touched every surface possible then used her hands in the same gloves to pick up the lettuce for my salad and put it in the container. All this time she's also used her arm several times to wipe her nose.. then she rang me up grabbing the cash and making change with the same gloves... at that point I called her on it and her answer was "this is the first time I've touched cash" ok but as I left I did not see her change those gloves still. I ended up tossing the salad as after watching her touch everything and keep wiping her nose on her arm I just couldn't eat it. Won't be going back. Shame read more

To start it's in an extremely run down area in a rigged, old, store circle. The surrounding area is poor. And the place in general is mediocre. I'm all for portion control and healthy food but the food is not "fresh" as the title displays. Even easier explanation so picture Chipotle, Pancheros, Moes, Bubakoos whatever, it's basically those "restaurants" but "healthy" food instead this place has different types of quinoa, sweet potato, and more vegetables choices. Meanwhile it looks like they've been sitting there for hours. They do the same thing as other stores where they have the food pre made and just swap out the different food selections as one gets low, doesn't seem fresh to me. They more then likely prepare food the day before and use it the day off. Not fresh. Only reason I saw this is because don't call your store fresh kitchen if your food is not fresh. Anyways it's over priced, over valued and not worth the "healthy" option. Go to chipotle or Bubakoos and get the same thing for the same price but a little better tasting. First time here with my sister, pleasantly impressed! Fresh, nutritious, filling food. I ordered (and devoured) the farrout steamed grain bowl with both a strawberry green tea and a fiji green. The bowl was the perfect post workout (I have a background in bodybuilding). I noticed that they use sous vides to keeo their food fresh and properly cooked to temp, two thumbs up for this! I've been several times and they just opened, but my favorite dish is the grain bowl. I always get it with quinoa, since I'm gluten-free, and I load it with as many vegetables as I can!
