9.5/10 - CAVA Let me start with the good because there was a lot of it. The sour cream and onion pita chips were absolutely incredible--probably my favorite part of the entire meal. They had the perfect crisp, great seasoning, and that soft crunch that makes it impossible to stop eating. The cucumber mint drink instantly reminded me of my Spanish heritage. It was refreshing, flavorful, and paired perfectly with everything else. Now, let's talk about the bowl. I loaded this thing with just about everything they offered, and honestly... I couldn't even finish it. It was huge. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The cabbage, lettuce, lentils, rice, chicken, falafel, roasted corn, pickled onions, and sauces on the side all worked together perfectly. Every bite had a different combination of flavors, and nothing tasted out of place. My only real complaint is that since I ordered half chicken and half falafel, it felt like the chicken portion was a little skimpy. I also wouldn't mind seeing just a little more rice, but that's a minor issue. For $19, this is one of the most complete, satisfying meals I've had in a long time. I love Cava! I love the variety and quality. The service the last three times has been off. I noticed that they've giving smaller and smaller portions and try rushing you through the variety of toppings, I had to ask the lady for hummus, feta cheese, and more after I chose the chicken and rice she flew to the register for some reason. Went into Cava in Brick for the first time. Place was super clean! Employees were super nice and helpful explaining how food was prepared and what was in it! I orderd a make your own bowl with brown rice, lentes and lamb meatballs, it was amazing! Portion is plentiful! I am hooked! And the Blueberry soda! Better than and dirty soda around! This is a follow up review and it's probably my fourth visit possibly fifth. Tonight was a miss. I ordered on the app ahead of time and scheduled for a later time than when I ordered which would be 6:30 PM, I immediately got a text that it would be 6:38 PM. OK not a problem. 6:38 passed and we waited 10minutes more, they said they needed to cook the food. They were slammed so this alone is not the reason for the follow up. We understand that. Most of the drinks were nearly empty with two of them being completely empty, the drink station hadn't been wiped down in a while, and there were no lids for the cups to take out that I had to go and ask. It seemed like they may not have enough supplies because when the one worker gave me the two lids for our drink so we could leave the other worker said that's just for us so I was a little surprised at that because how were we supposed to leave with the drinks? I don't blame the workers. They were all working very hard, but it's poorly managed then or understaffed or both. I think I might've seen a manager a woman with short hair that walked through behind the counter once. But the manager should be pitching in to help if they are understaffed. They left out a lot of things on our order. I should've checked before I left, didn't realize that that was necessary here, but it is. I did notice several people before me going back for missing pita bread. I did not realize I was also missing. That alone not a big deal because we ordered pita chips so we had that. Both salads contained grilled chicken and both were extremely oversalted compared to the last few times and the pita chips were so over salted that we had to dust them off just to eat them. Both salads were missing the pickled red onions, and it was on the order slip. My salad had no dressing and it was supposed to have Greek dressing again on the slip. We did eat the majority of the bowls, not all of it like usual because of the salt. It was so heavy. It was biting the inside of your mouth so we had to dust everything off and I just stopped eating it after a while. That much salt is a turn off even when you love salty food this was just biting and sharp, extreme salt and we could physically brush it off the pita chips in heavy amounts. Unfortunately, the chicken had absorbed a lot of it so it was just an extremely salty bite of chicken. The only reason why I'm still going back is, this is one out of 4-5 visits and if it indeed goes back to being good, that's it. But another visit or two like this and we won't be back. read more

I am writing to share my experience during my visit to your store last Sunday. While I was checking out, the cashier who was assisting me was very disrespectful. Throughout the transaction, he repeatedly rolled his eyes and made me feel as though he was trying to rush me. I remained polite, but his attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I understand that retail employees can be busy and that long lines can be stressful. However, there were customers waiting both in front of me and behind me who had also been waiting for some time, so I don't understand why I was treated with such impatience. As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. I wanted to bring this experience to your attention because no customer should feel rushed or disrespected while making a purchase. I hope this matter is addressed so that future customers have a more positive experience. read more

Cava is my new favorite in the area. After a hike at the park, nothing better than healthy, FRESH ingredients for salads and the best Greek salad with chicken I have ever had. I will be back again. My sister got the salmon bowl and was blown away...so good. read more

Went to Cava for the first time with my daughter today. She would get Cava by TCNJ and would rave about it. Now I understand why. Michelle at the counter was so nice and made some great suggestions for my bowl. All of the employees were so friendly, the store was super clean and everything was fresh. was really looking forward to the CAVA hype as i love greek style food & chipotle style bowls. i got the steak harrisa bowl and my husband got the spicy chicken bowl option. Camryn who started the line order was knowledgeable and helpful!! from here idk what happened. the who looked like manager was temp testing all the food (& cross contaminating, but i'm no stickler but it is meat vs salad options) while the line is almost consuming the entire restaurant which is small to begin with! like help move this along !! remainder of staff on the line seemed lost and in my opinion, didn't give enough of each option, very shy with the scoops. by the time i got my dish, all of it was cold. actually tasty, but some parts i think were supposed to be warm, like the meat - like chipotle. now the dining area - every table was dirty, the amount of crumbs / napkins on the floor was kind of gross. like no one is manning the dining room at all. but there is plenty of ppl working behind the line, the manager should be passing thru the dining area. i spotted 2 customers not including myself wiping their table and seat off which i feel is not a good look at all. i felt the line moved SO SLOW! like omg by the time i finished eating, the same ppl were at their same spot in line! i wish i was kidding, not even being dramatic. maybe it's cause it's still new but i think they've been open over a month now - LOTS of kinks i hope get fixed with help from this post. i want to come back!! read more

I heard about this place and had no clue what a great place this is! Sam and Brandy were so sweet and kind as they were helping me decide on what to get with my custom bowl. They also do not skip out on portions which I appreciate. Cava has such a large variety compared to other bowls or burrito large chains. Also the location was super clean with someone sweeping as I walked in. I am definitely coming again and probably weekly since it's right next to a gym. Make wise choices and don't be afraid to ask for more. Don't have it delivered. You're wasting money and it may get soggy. If it's too much order the kids size. Nothing positive to say. Mid food. Waited 35 minutes in line just to see that they were out of half the ingredients that was required to make my bowl. Not only that, but they made my bowl completely wrong and every time I asked the staff to put the correct ingredients in they rolled their eyes or shook their head at me. mediocre at best. the place was freezing cold! the people working there looked like they'd prefer to be anywhere else but there. I had the greek chicken pita. I asked for it without olives and pickles. I got it with red pepper hummus (didn't want that), no tomatoes and no onions. no tsaki (sp). which I did want (it came with that) was told that there would be an extra charge if I wanted that. maybe just got off to a bad start. will give them another chance. basically a chipotle with slightly different food. read more
