Beef Kufta Skewer- well-seasoned and nice char. Comes w/2 sides. Here: Couscous w/veg and Israeli Salad. Excellent!

Don't worry, be Ha'ppy! Excellent Israeli/Mediterranean food. Here, you order at the counter or at your table via web and they bring you your food. The meat in my husband's Beef Kufta Skewer was huge, tasty, and tender and among the best I've had. It came with 2 sides of his choice- Couscous with Veggies and a cucumber and tomato-based Israeli Salad. Every ingredient tasted super fresh. Then my glorious Salad Combo (which I highly recommend) captivated me with 12 little bowls of hummus, babaganoush, spicy eggplant, pickled veggies, tahini, olives, and more! It arrived with 2 big, hot, and thick pitas that my whole family enjoyed. Sadly, my kid's Chicken Nuggets were over fried and tough but they enjoyed their fries and other items on the table. Next time, they'll be happier with hummus and pita. For me, their hummus and babaganoush were so good, they could be my entire meal! NOTES/TIPS: **Vast menu including lots of hummus. Thursday nights, they offer kugel and other specials. **Wheelchair-accessible. Clean bathrooms. **Plenty of parking in a huge lot shared with other stores.

I had never tried this place before and likely will never go back. I placed an order online to be picked up at 6:30PM. The order was placed around 4:30PM. When we arrived to collect our order, at 6:27PM, we waited in line behind folks placing their order to then be told our order was not ready yet. We then waited until about 6:45PM before it was done. What is the point of ordering ahead of time? I complained to the "brain surgeon" behind that register that proceeded to tell me it was the system they use and the system doesn't prioritize the orders in the time they were placed but by what was ordered?!?!? are you kidding me, what does that even mean??? what kind of answer is that? In addition, the folks standing in line before us, received their food, while we still waited for ours. Then I get home and the $17 sandwich I ordered wasn't even fully wrapped, see photo. The chulent (stew) was tasty but I would have expected much more for $15. The only saving grace is that the food was not as bad the service. Needless to say I will not be back.

    Mushroom hummus with pita

Authentic Mediterranean food that is absolutely delicious and fresh, had the mushroom hummus, chicken soup Israeli salad and schnitzel. Only complaint is that owner would not get off phone so we had to wait to order.

I happened to be in the area, and wanted to check this place out and it didn't disappoint!!!! The hummus was amazing, babaganoush was the best I've had, so smoky and amazing. The arayes also were really good. The falafel was my top two. Falafel is often dry and this one was amazing, even reheated.

We ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo, a truffle grilled cheese, a blackened salmon sandwich and an eggplant Parmesan on a bed of pasta. We heard their pizza is good, but we weren't in the mood for pizza. The fettuccine was nice as was the truffle grilled cheese. I was told the blackened salmon was missing that little bit of spice usually found with a blackened dish. The eggplant Parmesan contained ricotta cheese between the slices which we were okay with, but the eggplant breading was a little overdone. For us, this place seems hit or miss and we're thinking we should have tried the pizza since that was a more popular dish. Maybe we'll get back there to try the pizza.

If you're going for kosher dairy food in Lakewood, this place is probably one of two good places in…read morethe area. Difference here is that these guys know dough and pizza, which means their pizzas (and dessert calzones) will be great. We went on a busy weekend and they had both indoor and outdoor seating. Pizzas were great, and some very funky. There's one with onion rings and bbq sauce, another with mini mozzarella sticks (which is basically just cheese on cheese), and more with roasted cauliflower or broccoli under some more cheese. My advice here is really to try and stick with the stuff with tomato sauce. Would be nice if they incorporated arugula or truffle like some of the more modern NYC Italian restaurants do. Appetizers is where it's at. We didn't try fries, but we did try the tuna tostadas (fish seemed pretty fresh and it was kind of like a crunchy rice), and the nachos (really good and cheesy). This place probably ain't a great idea if you're lactose intolerant. For dessert you definitely want to try the nutella/oreo calzone. Save room. Some minor issues I had was that the service was pretty lacking. Waiters didn't care to properly serve customers and seemed to have an impatient attitude. People that came to bring extra utensils didn't take back our dirty dishes, and for the second half of the meal our table was full of dirty plates. Also the bathroom was used as storage for other stuff, was not clean, and the camera to flush the toilet didn't work. They should put some more money into the staff, clean bathrooms a bit better, and maybe install camera systems for better management. Just my two cents.

There are multiple kiosks to order food when you walk in. There was a sign, that read 5-10 minutes per order. My order took 20 minutes. The cashier did say the food was getting ready a few times, but it did feel like it took a long time. I ordered a buffalo schnitzel salad, and my friends ordered a few other things. I found the schnitzel (chicken based) sweeter than I expected but it was good quality. I requested the dressing on the salad, which was a mistake. The dressing was good but there was too much, and the salad came out soggy. I would reccommend getting the dressing on the side. Everyone I was with said they enjoyed their food. One last positive was we did get A LOT of food.

Website: 10/10 It compliments an eatery as unique as Glatt Bite well with its simple color scheme and prestigious logo. Functionally, the website is easy to navigate, and scrolls smoothly. Most of the menu items have their own images on the sides. Brand: 8/10 The cursive "GB" signature gives the Glatt Bite brand a fancy prestige. Though, the physical sign outside can be misleading in terms of aesthetics. However, do not let appearances fool you. There is a whole banquet hall just a few steps from the lobby. This banquet hall definitely exhumes the eloquence of a fancy restaurant, for thin fluorescent lights shine throughout the dark walls decorated with horizontal animal canvases. Ambiance: 9/10 The electronica playing over the radio did not become too intrusive. Although nobody came to the banquet hall yet, I can see how it would accommodate 100 people, as the website stated. The tables had a symmetrical alignment on two sides, and were spaced well enough. Although we did not get served directly, we relied on a tablet that takes our order from an app called Curbngo. The app functioned well without any trouble. Service: 10/10 The patient staff accommodated us whenever we needed it, particularly since I never used up-to-date technology in an eatery before. We reserved a seat even though we came minutes before opening. The staff also finalized our orders with friendly candor. Wait Time: 10/10 With the use of Curbngo, any time spent waiting is cut greatly. Even when we waited to place our orders, I took as much time afforded to me to write without interruptions. Food: 9/10 The unique kosher food selection has plenty of culinary influences, from Yiddish to American to Chinese. It is officially certified as a kosher establishment by the Kashrus Council of Lakewood. Indeed, many of the menu items uphold that kosher consistency, with the Chinese-inspired meals containing no pork and the sandwiches containing no cheese. I ordered the zinger sandwich on a roll. It consisted of a well-cooked schnitzel with spicy sauce, Russian dressing, and the vegetables typically found within sandwiches. The zinger sandwich managed to have spiciness that did not overwhelm me. The buns barely retained their form, for this sandwich had plenty of sauce and dressing. Indeed, I can see why it is called a zinger sandwich, for there are so many experiences packed within two buns. The Russian dressing gives it the tangy, savory taste, while the zinger sauce makes it spicy. Comes Together Well?: 10/10 For an eatery with a unique item selection, Glatt Bite definitely proves that dietary restrictions encourage forward-thinking instead of stifles it. Small businesses always have to think and strategize beyond their limitations, and Glatt Bite manages to accomplish this. The use of Curbngo would imply that Glatt Bite started to adapt to COVID-19 with options of either "To Stay" or "To Take Out." It also helped me acclimate to an eatery I never frequented as someone who is painfully introverted. I truly appreciate the establishment taking such bold steps to technologically modernize. Yelp prices Glatt Bite with two dollar signs out of three, and they are not kidding. The high prices might be a disadvantage--if it did not have a reason for them. In the case of the responsive technology, the ambiance, and the aesthetics, I will say that the food is worth the price. I rarely went to any kosher eateries as a Gentile, yet I can say that I was well-accommodated and helped introduce me to new styles of cuisines. Rating: 5/5 Stars Glatt Bite gives me hope that local businesses will always have relevance to the communities they feed. I had a pleasant experience frequenting this establishment. Recommend To... Anyone looking for a unique kosher eatery to frequent, for Glatt Bite uses a lot of culinary influences to its advantage. I also recommend to anyone who has never tried kosher food and wants to experience its creativity. I could also recommend it to anyone looking for catering within a banquet hall with dark walls, however because it is a kosher establishment, you might encounter restrictions depending on your event. It never hurts to ask the owners politely.

I do like the logo, for it uses as much of its simplicity as possible while maintaining a fancy posture. The sign has a noticeable presence in this shopping center as you walk around. Concerning the interior, I will say that the food itself adds to the brand. Website: 2/5 While the website does look decent, it is incomplete, therefore I cannot give it a favorable score. I do see the potential in terms of functionality and aesthetics, but the entire website contains sample text. It does have the vital information, such as contact information. It does say that it serves babka, peanut chew, cakes, and pastries, but it does not provide you with images of these products. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not have to wait for long to purchase my order. Ambiance: 3/5 On the outside, I could see this large corner store in the Goldmont Center that I could clearly imagine catering to many customers. Once I stepped inside, the ambiance felt quite underwhelming. I did not expect to find a small bakery with some of the goods still stacked in some of the noticeable racks, and no tables. Another problem was the lack of labels in the glass counters. It does maintain its cleanliness though. Food: 5/5 I tried four cinnamon rugelachs, and I will say that it was my satisfactory introduction to rugelachs. It had a more cinnamon taste and less bread taste, which helps balances these pastries. The establishment served baskets of rugelach in the open, and I will say that even then, they did not become hard or stale. They retained their fluffy forms and their cinnamon tastes. The website provides some of the menu items, while the Yelp menu has all the options available to you, such as challah bread, danishes, cookies, cakes, and donuts. Service: 5/5 The owner did not have an issue with informing you if you looking for a particular pastry. Worth The Money?: 3/5 The food reflects the brand in all its simplicity, for you will find many Jewish delicacies in this establishment. While it would help Hershy's Bakery's website to show specific images of the food, if I am to believe the awards cataloged in the About Us page, then it would help develop its credibility if ownership updated the entire website. Indeed, the font and the images already on the website already add to its ambiance. I will say that the food does add to the ambiance of the bakery. I would recommend adding labels to the foods. The ambiance made both the wait time and service tolerable. Would I say that Hershy's Bakery is worth it as a small business? Yes. As a place to frequent despite not being from Lakewood Township? Probably not. I can only consider this establishment a choice if I was traveling through Lakewood and happened upon the Goldmont Center. I will say that the owner did balance my order on a weight scale, giving it a fair price. So, I cannot complain. Rating: 4/5 Stars Needless to say, I will say that Hershy's Bakery is quite a good establishment overall. I got to introduce myself to rugelachs despite the limitations. Recommend To... Any other Gentiles who want to try kosher delicacies but do not know where to start, or are hesitate to bake them yourselves. I will tell you that Hershy's Bakery offers you a glimpse into Jewish cuisine with a fresh basket of rugelachs.

It was also a Wednesday night, so not jammed, but they looked rather busy. The restaurant entrance is around the corner from the parking lot. When you first walk in, on the left-hand side, there's a small area that looks like the restaurant. However, if you make a right, it opens up into a fairly large nicely appointed restaurant. We had a nice table in the corner for the five of us. The waiter came over with the menus rather quickly and stayed off to the side, when not needed. The waiter did a great job, being attentive yet not over bearing. The maître d' was walking around checking in on tables as he did ours on a number of occasions and made friendly small talk. Now let's get to the food. Everything we had was absolutely amazing. The appetizers were really good and the main course was very well cooked on all fronts. While a couple of steaks were done a little bit more than we asked for, they weren't too off and were still very delicious. Even the side dishes like the rice or the Yukon garlic mashed potatoes was something to complement. We had ordered two drinks, of which, one was a pomegranate Cosmo and the other a spicy margarita both of which were very well-made.A really great experience overall.
