Love love, love the Gyro can't describe how amazing soft tender it is or chicken just flavorful all the veggies come together love the feta cheese with the salad and all the sides they get fresh fresh fresh. The only thing I would say that's a downfall is that I wish my fries were just a little bit crispy. It was just a little soggy my fries But other than that definitely a 4.6 outta 5 worth the 22$ absolutely this is a lot of food

Don't listen to the summer comers who swoop in for a week and get pissed this place doesn't cater to their overly complicated soy lifestyle. It is what it is, a Gyro Shop. I didn't think the price was crazy at all, the girl behind the counter was nice and didn't "flip the screen around" after I paid to demand a tip. Seems the cost covers everything, the way it should be. The food was really flavorful and plentiful. I personally don't like chopped lamb the way they did it but who gives a shit, it's the same lamb either way. Veg was fresh and they weren't cheap with the T sauce. Overall a 7 out of a 10. I'll be back

Update: Due to the review I left, I received a letter in the mail along with a check for the money I spent at Gyro Kingdom. They basically said they value customer satisfaction and wanted to make things right. If they left it at that, I would have been pleased and I would have been inclined to change my rating from 1 star to maybe 3 because of it. Unfortunately, there was a contingency attached to the check. I was asked to remove or change my review. I write reviews on a professional level. I give honest, unbiassed reviews. My review is based on the product or service from my own perspective and not based on the opinions of others. I live my life being an honest person and I fully believe in karma. Since the check was sent to me with a contingency, I will not be cashing the check because I will not adjust my review. In changing or deleting my review, that makes others question my integrity. I apologize to Gyro Kingdom that I can not change my review as requested. I had a bad experience, not with the people working for GK but with the food itself & therefore, I am leaving my review as is. I am not someone to make a public review against a small business but last night's experience was so bad, I had to. I ordered from Gyro Kingdom last night for the hubs and I. He had never had them before and I was craving them after receiving the flyer in the mail. I've been eating gyro's for 40+ years so I'm familiar with what they should look & taste like. I was so excited when we receive our order last night, I couldn't wait to dive in. We ordered 2 pork gyro's, 1 side of fries and baklava. From the first bite, I knew it wasn't going to get any better. The tomatoes in it were not fully ripe so they were hard and partially green in the center. There were pieces of cucumber throughout. Not sure if it was pickles or just cucumber but the pickle taste was overwhelming. I love pickles but I have never had pickles in my gyro. The meat was horrendously dry. It did not resemble meat that would be cut from a rotisserie. It was chopped. Dry & tasteless. The ONLY thing that gave the meat any flavor were the pickles. If not for the pickle flavor, it would have had no taste. Everything about that gyro was nauseating. I had 3 bites and threw it out. My husband only ate 1/2 of his and threw it out. That's telling you something because my husband eats just about anything. The french fries were greasy. The baklava wasn't even that great. How can you mess up baklava? The worse part. This place is overpriced. For those 4 items it was over $50. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. If you are reading this review before ordering and you're on the fence, trust me when I say save your money & find another place. This place does have positive reviews but the quality of the food we received last night was anything but positive.

Mind you I despise eating Greek as we travel into NYC 5 boroughs and have eaten at some incredible Greek establishments. The restaurant decor is clean and styled as if you are in Greece. Very light and pleasant. Service was excellent and I ordered the large Greek salad to split with wife, Gyro platter for myself and wife ordered Avgolemono soup. Salad came very fast, romaine lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, feta and olives which were above average and pepperoncini peppers. Salad was a solid 9! In season tomatoes would've clearly brought up to a 10. Gyro platter was served with fries, rice or potatoes which I chose and simply delicious. Also came with a small bed of salad and tzatziki sauce. An unbelievable portion size and quality another solid 9. Serving size I would give an 11! Wife's soup was also delicious and between half a salad and cup of soup, she couldn't finish and had to take home. A wonderful dining experience and this will be on our lists of stops. A true gem and the staff made you feel welcome and wanted! Can't wait to go back!!

Another place we've passed countless times and never went in, until today…read more We were a bit concerned when walking in and the place was empty at 4pm on a Saturday. But looking at the fixins bar (Chipotle-esque), everything appeared fresh and clean so we chalked it up to a lull in business and freezing weather. I opted for a gyro bowl, my wife got a bowl with falafel. The lady at the counter really didn't speak English well at all, it took a few tries to get our order in. Once it was in she did tell us to sit and she'd bring it to us. As we sat we looked around, the place is cool. Decorated nice with a few tables. Lots of evil eyes all over. The food came out, nice and hot, good sized servings. We were pleasantly surprised as our expectations were low. For our taste they went a bit too aggressive with the feta and red onions. Otherwise all good. Looking forward to returning.

We came here about an hour prior to closing. We ordered the following: Trio of spreads, which came with Santorini hummus, spicy feta, tzatziki and 2 sliced pitas. Hubs thought that the 3 spreads were all similar and tasted the same. If anything, they should've made the texture all different. Overall, there was nothing outstanding about it. Beef and lamb platter, which was served with fries, pita, tzatziki, tomatoes, red onions and parsley. We thought this order was big and we couldn't believe that this was only for one person. The 3 of us couldn't finish it. Hubs thought that the salad was nice and clean and the fries were good while hot. We thought that the meat was a little dry. Thank goodness, there was plenty of tzatziki to dip the meat. Lemon potatoes- this was very salty and difficult to eat. Chicken and rice soup- we didn't like this. The soup was very salty. Hubs thought that the chicken was from the gyro or shawarma and that it was obviously added on to the soup base. He doesn't recommend this soup. Sriracha garlic parm wings- this was the best item of the night. The wings were nice and meaty, the exterior was nice and crunchy. The inside was nice and juicy and it was a nice order, overall. You have a choice of either 6 or 10 wings and we chose 6. Service was friendly and quick. They answer all our questions, but I doubt that we will be returning.

They had the perfect crisp, great seasoning, and that soft crunch that makes it impossible to stop eating. The cucumber mint drink instantly reminded me of my Spanish heritage. It was refreshing, flavorful, and paired perfectly with everything else. Now, let's talk about the bowl. I loaded this thing with just about everything they offered, and honestly... I couldn't even finish it. It was huge. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The cabbage, lettuce, lentils, rice, chicken, falafel, roasted corn, pickled onions, and sauces on the side all worked together perfectly. Every bite had a different combination of flavors, and nothing tasted out of place. My only real complaint is that since I ordered half chicken and half falafel, it felt like the chicken portion was a little skimpy. I also wouldn't mind seeing just a little more rice, but that's a minor issue. For $19, this is one of the most complete, satisfying meals I've had in a long time. It's fresh, filling, packed with flavor, and actually leaves you feeling like you got your money's worth.
