First time ordering from Mr Greek and oh man was it sooo delicious! Ordered a gyro wrap with harissa feta and a peri peri chicken wrap with tzaziki. The gyro pita with harissa feta was SO good. It was flavorful, there was a lot of feta provided, and the pita was nice and soft. Also appreciated the lettuce and onions for a nice crunch. We also got a peri peri pita sandwich with tzatziki which was also good, but not as outstanding as the gyro with harissa feta. It was definitely good though and felt like chicken you might enjoy in a salad. Will definitely be coming back for more gyro sandwiches !! read more

The worst experience of my life in that place with the cashier with long black hair, medium build, wears glasses, she didn't want to give us her name because of the bad treatment she gave us, the food is good but they should have trained staff to serve and not that type of girls who serve in a bad way. Food is great and so is the staff. We had an issue with our Uber Eats order, so we went to pick up the food ourselves and cancelled with Uber. They remade the whole order fresh for us. Everything was delicious. We got the gyro sandwiches, veggie wrap, pica chicken wrap, souvlaki platter, friend chicken and rice. Everything was awesome and just what I was craving. Way overpriced. I got a gyro platter. It was lamb, tzatziki sauce, a small amount of lettuce, small amount of pickled peppers and no tomato. Lamb was good but not enough vegetables. Served with plain rice which I guess makes up the platter. That was $20. Then I got a can of soda for $3. I can go anywhere and get a plain gyro for $10 bucks. Between my girlfriend and I with 18% tip it was $58. Will not go back. read more

We've come to the conclusion that if people don't adhere to the health department precautions while they're making your food, they probably don't take pride in making your food either. My husband ordered a chicken pita sandwich without tomatoes. When I went in to pick up his order there were 4 employees there. 1 of them was wearing a "mask" appropriately (it was a bandanna, but at least it was something). There was another employee that thought that as long as he was sitting at a table he couldn't possibly spread Covid. At one point he got up to speak to the guy who was wearing his bandana, and at least he was respectful enough to pull up his own bandana while he spoke to the other guy. The older couple who were preparing food in the kitchen were both wearing masks under their noses. When I got the food home to my husband he quickly noticed the sandwich seemed to have extra tomatoes instead of no tomatoes as he asked, which it turns out was fine since the chicken was tough anyway. There's a LOT better places to eat on the shore in my opinion, starting with anywhere that wears masks appropriately. read more

Was craving a gyro and salad and had to head to Oakhurst. Quickly ordered pickup via the phone Instagram link- they also support all the delivery apps. The food? PLENTY - the Greek salad was easily customized with yellow pepper slices, no onions and chickpeas and perfect with a pita and dressing on the side. My lamb gyro was Delicious - cut it in half and shared with my sister and adult son ate almost all his chicken gyro. He said it was even better at midnight. The tahini dressing for the falafel was fresh and great for pita dipping. Got some soup for a family member- she loved the lemon chicken taste for summer dining. We ordered gyro platters with fries and a spinach pie with feta. We did not like the quality of the gyro, but the fries were good. The spinach pie was delicious. I was excited when I saw a Greek restaurant open in Belmar. I ordered chicken platter, hummus and grape leaves . The chicken was disgusting, not sure how they cook it, it was a plate full of shavings of meat but was somewhat indecipherable. I threw it out after paying $14.50 for the platter. This place is awesome ! Fresh Greek food, the dips are all to die for and the portions are very generous. Great friendly service and really cute decor inside. They are constantly cleaning down the tables and the place is spotless. There are even tables outside if you are lucky enough to visit on a nice day. Was starving so stopped in here to eat and so glad that we did! We had our dogs with us so we were looking for somewhere that would let us sit outside with them. It wasn't very busy, but there were a bunch of people picking up take out orders so we decided to give it a try. The food was delicious! My best friend is Greek so sometimes I can be pretty judgmental on Greek food because she makes the best and this was definitely on par. We ordered the pork platter which was surprisingly super juicy and flavorful. (Sometimes skewers are really dried out.) The tzatziki was very good and super flavorful. The Greek Salad was huge! Lemon potatoes were by far my favorite. The Avgolemono soup was good, a little more like a traditional chicken soup, but still good! The Tessaloniki shrimp were the best I think I have ever had. Even coming out in a Togo container they tasted perfectly seared. This place was great service was great, yeah it is expensive, but Greek food is always going to be more expensive and you can tell they are using the best ingredients. Also get the Frappe, it's a Greek coffee which is super strong and frothy iced and you can choose dairy alternatives if you prefer! read more
