Part One: Sunday This review is for two different visits…read morethis past week. One was for this past Sunday. We had Randi as our server and as first time visitors to this Sea Girt location, she helped us get acquainted with the menu and the restaurant as a whole. We were scouting it out for the following day to watch the Knicks Finals game. The restaurant is loaded with screens! They have larger screens on the wall and smaller ones all next to each other above the bar. And they pipe in the game sound once the game starts! So all boxes were checked off for us. We also had a delicious lunch. I had the Apple Salad with grilled chicken. It was fresh as could be, huge and so delicious. One of the best salads I have had in a long time. My husband was just as happy with his Caesar Salad and hamburger patty. He raved about the hamburger meat and we both ate every morsel of our meal. A great location as we just had left the beach and were starving! Randi's service was top notch and she is super nice and friendly. Matt, the Manager also stopped by to check on us and make sure everything was OK, which was great to see. Part Two: Monday The next day, we watched game 3 of the NBA Finals at Tommy's. Now we're already starting to become regulars! We had Julian as our server. Another great Tommy's employee! Turns out he went to high school with our son! Small world. It was our first time watching a game at the restaurant. We had a huge booth and plenty of room. It was drink special night on Monday, so we got 1/2 price specialty cocktails, which was nice. We ordered bar food this time - - wings, brussel sprouts, Caesar salad and margarita pizza, all of which were very good. Very impressed with the wings, that are baked and come with onions and peppers on top. Julian kept our glasses and bellies filled and, even though the Knicks lost, we had an amazing time at Tommy's for the game. Thank you Randi, Julian & Matt for a great week at Tommy's. We will be back soon.

You can purchase a boozy brunch package for $45, everyone at the table must. This includes, unlimited pitchers of mimosas, sangria, bellini, or your choice of beer and an entree. You can either choose from the sweet or savory section of the menu for the entree. The red sangria was very good. I had the S'mores French Toast, which was so tasty. There was the perfect ratio of marshmallows, chocolate syrup, and graham crackers on the French toast. The breakfast pizza was also delicious. The amount of flavor from one bite was incredible and nothing was overpowering. I'm excited to go back and try more of the menu here! I highly recommend for a nice place to meet with family and/or friends with delicious food and drinks!

Everything was amazing ... the ambiance, the service, the food, the vibe!…read more I was planning a birthday dinner in NJ from another state and randomly found this restaurant while searching the web. This was definitely one of my best finds. The entire experience was delightful. The person who handled the reservation was knowledgeable and gave me a lot of useful information up front. They sent reminders for the reservation in the interim. And, on the day of the dinner, they sent a text notification to alert me that our table was ready (ahead of the reservation time). Upon arriving, I knew this was a special and unique establishment. The grounds and the building were the first hint that we were about to be delighted. Inside, was bursting with fun , eclectic, rustic charm. Upon entering, the hostess was already prepared to greet us and the staff was very attentive. I had made prior arrangements for them to hold the birthday cake. Our server was friendly and professional; he immediately introduced himself by name and took good care of our group all evening. The water was dutifully filled, the courses were served and cleared efficiently and expediently ... and then the coup de grâce. We had brought in a grocery store chocolate cake. I had merely expected them to bring it to the table. However, they brought it out with lit candles, so that we could sing happy birthday. And then quickly whisked it back into the kitchen, where they sliced and plated it for us and added whipped cream, ganache, and a white chocolate & raspberry drizzle to garnish the plate. It was one of the best dining experiences I have had.

SEA GIRT: Known for its gourmet dining, charming atmosphere, and truly memorable setting,…read moreScarborough Fair Restaurant has officially gone to the dogs in the best way with its brand-new Bark & Booze Happy Hour. Held every Friday from 3-6 PM, this tail-wagging idea comes courtesy of their fantastic bar manager, Matt. Set on the patio garden bar outside the picturesque historic farmhouse, the event features happy hour specials for both humans and their four-legged companions. Pet parents can indulge in fine American cuisine and drink specials, while pups get their own Bark Bites menu, offering a burger patty or chicken breast served with rice and carrots, available in half or full portions. There are even hydration bowls with fruit-infused water to keep the pups cool and refreshed. Leashed and friendly dogs are always welcome to dine outdoors overlooking the beautiful property. We spotted plenty of well-behaved pups, including Blue, Mikey, Velvet, and Zarra. All in all, it was a perfect night out at this beloved local spot.

Although it wasn't very busy, service upstairs was fairly slow, and several nearby tables also seemed to be waiting a while for food or checks. For drinks, we ordered the Boardwalk Lemonade, which was sweet and refreshing, and their version of an Aperol Spritz, which had a beautiful presentation. My dad's Baked Brie Burger was delicious--the fig jam paired perfectly with it, and the waffle fries were fried to perfection. I ordered the Mr. Beautiful Burger, which tasted great at first. Unfortunately, I felt VERY sick almost immediately after eating. I can't say for certain what caused it, but since my dad didn't try my burger and felt fine after his meal, I suspect mine may not have been cooked properly. Despite that, I enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, and overall experience. I'd definitely give this place another chance, though I'll skip the Mr. Beautiful Burger next time.

4.5, but I'm rounding up. The kind of place that used to be common, but is rare nowadays (the…read moreclosest I can think of this Barnacle Bill's in Rumson). Simple, but good quality food well executed and served at a reasonable price. I had broiled fluke (I wish more restaurants served this instead of the ubiquitous Bronzino - which is a cheap farmed fish from Turkey) - a healthy serving of very fresh fish cooked deftly- cooked through, but not dried out. Broccoli came with it and I also ordered a side of sautéed spinach - both were delicious as well. The entrée came with a small salad, which was undistinguished. I saw many ribeyes coming out of the kitchen, they looked great. Thick and perfectly cooked medium rare. I'm going to have one of those the next time. The tomato and mozzarella appetizer was not great - middle of summer in New Jersey and the tomatoes were barely better than the hot house ones you get in February. Service was friendly and efficient, we arrived without a reservation and had to wait roughly 30 minutes for two seats at the bar. Reservations are recommended. Whatever shortfalls it may have as a restaurant are more than made up with the reasonable prices - think half of La Mondina. One thing to know - there was an unwelcome and unwanted Trump 2020 bumper sticker stuck over the bar. You would think whoever owns the place would take it off considering he's the least popular president since Jimmy Carter. I prefer my food without politics, please. That said, I'm definitely going back.
