The staff seemed overwhelmed, running in and out, and my food either took too long or was forgotten due to a backup--it's hard to tell. Despite this, the place is cute and small, and it definitely gets packed. If they had more space, I think they could manage better. Right now, it's just a bunch of tables close to each other. The food was simple but good, which justifies the great reviews. However, it took almost an hour to get my meal, and no one seemed to care about the delay. I did get a discount, but it was minimal. This place is such a cute spot, and the food is amazing! We stopped in for Father's Day lunch before heading to the beach. I was so full, but couldn't stop eating because it was just THAT good!!! I had originally passed it by because the name was a little generic and it kind of slipped past my interest. But someone mentioned that it was the same guy as the old Broadway Grill so we went for burgers which are still fantastic and one of the best around. The other thing to note here is the service. There are a lot of high school kids who work here which normally indicates mediocre service at best because nobody bothers to train them. But everyone here is friendly, prompt, and cares about their job which is so nice to see. read more

My wife and I decided to take a half day from work and go to the beach. We stopped in town on our way home and decided to give this restaurant a try. Wow!!! We were impressed...we're picky about our burgers but these were fantastic and they use a good quality beef. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger and my wife had the sweet bacon slaw burger...yum! Also, we are gluten free and couldn't eat the appetizers but the owner said we could have the side of grilled vegetable platter as an appetizer...it was fantastic packed with a lot of fresh veggies and they were fresh and grilled just right. Visited the Town Grill at about 6:30 on a Friday night. This was the busiest I've ever seen them, with every table full. The waitresses were kept extremely busy, and yet they remained as cheerful and friendly as ever. Our food took just a tad longer than usual, which is understandable given the volume of customers. Can't say enough good things about the food! For such a small venue, their menu is spot on. I had the Mushroom Swiss burger, my friend had the Flounder Francaise. Everything was cooked perfectly, presented well and was served in generous quantities. They don't take reservations, so be sure to get there early if you're hitting a show at the Algonquin.
