Came for brunch and tried the brunch special. For $45 you can choose from a selection of drink pitchers, and a brunch entree (sweet or savory option). Everyone has to agree on the pitcher and the entire table has to participate. Prices on the entire menu are fair. decent amount of brunch options to choose from. Lots of tvs to watch the game. Enjoyed the breakfast pizza and the hangover burger. Thought they were both very good. server was nice, cute outdoor area to sit but unfortunately it was raining this day. read more

This was my first time at Spring Lake Tap House and it definitely won't be my last! The restaurant was decorated so perfectly for the holidays! Their brunch is also absolutely delicious! You can purchase a boozy brunch package for $45, everyone at the table must. This includes, unlimited pitchers of mimosas, sangria, bellini, or your choice of beer and an entree. You can either choose from the sweet or savory section of the menu for the entree. The red sangria was very good. I had the S'mores French Toast, which was so tasty. There was the perfect ratio of marshmallows, chocolate syrup, and graham crackers on the French toast. The breakfast pizza was also delicious. The amount of flavor from one bite was incredible and nothing was overpowering. I'm excited to go back and try more of the menu here! I highly recommend for a nice place to meet with family and/or friends with delicious food and drinks! read more

Bad Santa Brunch on a football Sunday, no regrets. Met up with some girlfriends today for brunch and walked into a Christmas Wonderland equipped with football game broadcasts - ideal set up. We considered the boozy brunch (very affordable $45 for 90 mins) but settled on sharing some brunch plates instead. Food was good, drinks were meh, and bingo was a fun idea. They could've used one more server for a busy Sunday, but we were fine. Worth a trip if you want an instagrammable venue! read more

If you're looking for the ultimate Jersey Shore brunch spot, Spring Lake Taphouse is one you'll definitely want on your list. Would you believe you can get 90 minutes of unlimited brunch cocktails and a full entrée for just $45/person? Yup!! Go with the Boozy Brunch where you can get unlimited brunch cocktails (pick one drink) and an entree per person (everyone at your table must participate). We went with classic mimosas for our drinks. Very nice to sip on as we hung out on their spacious back patio. For entrées, we tried the build your own omelette -- light and fluffy -- and their breakfast pizza, which hits that perfect balance of cheesy, savory brunch vibes and lots of meat (pork roll, sausage and bacon). The crust was nice and crispy! Then came the showstopper -- the pancake board!! A dozen mini pancakes with bacon, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit -- basically brunch heaven on one platter. This serves about 2-3 people and awesome to share. And for the most relatable dish on the menu? The 'My GF Isn't Hungry' board -- every kind of fry you can think of, with delicious house-made dipping sauces. Another awesome board for sharing which you can pick on all brunch long. We sat out back on their patio -- tons of seating, couches, cornhole, and yes, you can even bring your dog. It's laid-back, fun, and perfect for a weekend hangout. The service is very friendly and attentive and we had a great time! I would definitely return for brunch again. read more

I don't get the low ratings. The food is VERY good, it's a great atmosphere and the service was friendly and attentive. The only downside is the New York Giants flag needs to be flipped upright. Other than that, can't wait to come back. The Sizzling Steak Sandwich was great, the bar pizza was excellent, and the wings were very good. Well done. read more

Super loud sports bar atmosphere. Lots of tvs. Great place to watch a game. Not so great to eat. 2nd and last time. Food is really really subpar and tasteless. The kind of food that when you eat it, you question if you might have COVID because you are putting food in your mouth and there is no taste. Like none. Mahi mahi dinner comes with a piece of fish that was definitely frozen out of a box, comes with dry uncooked broccoli and yellow rice that is unbelievably tasteless and just eww. Like nursing home food. Chicken parm also a fail. There is just no flavor, looks and tastes like if you were away from home and your kid calls and says tell me how to make chicken Parm and they make it for the first time and it comes out awful, like if Walmart and Aldi's made chicken parm, that's what it tastes like. No bread, no salad and who serves chicken Parm in a bowl? It's impossible to cut chicken in a bowl when it's on top of bare naked plain spaghetti. Our waiter was pretty stoned and came by once,no refills on drinks, he just took the order and disappeared. Someone else brought out the food. If you go here only get like pizza or a flatbread, avoid entrees as they are the most low budget sad meals in the place. Honestly eat somewhere else, then come here if you only want to drink beer and watch whatever sports game might be on that night. The owners clearly don't taste test the meals before putting them on the menu cause they are tasteless wastes of money here. Saturday night and you can walk in and get a table. I can see why. This place can be a great place to eat if they revamp the menu and hire actual cooks and use better ingredients, but food wise it's going out to eat Aldi'S food read more

Exclusively run by servers and hosts not able to serve their own alcohol. Our server was funny - I asked what drafts they had, they said: "lots of things...like most of the stuff on the drink menu." "Oh cool, I see corona on the menu, is that on draft?" "No." "Okay....so what light beers are on draft?" *rolls their eyes and starts very slowly listing off light beers* Then the beer came out poured absolutely flat lol. Food took a long time, server told us after 45 mins, "yea there's a huge backup in the kitchen." That was the only time they checked in on us. Food was mediocre in taste. I woke up in the middle of the night to vomit it up. (Involuntarily) Nice location and set-up, so one star for that. But otherwise I would avoid. read more

They also have a dog menu on these special nights and your pup can get an appetizer, entree, and even dessert. I've been to this restaurant several times. Last night will likely be my last. $12 for vodka/club and $6 miller lite drafts is a rip off. We had nachos that were awful and should have been sent back. Really disappointing and overpriced. So many other options in the area. Skip this place. read more

I have enjoyed SL Taphouse many times, friendly staff, often there's good music, great late night pizza. However. Taphouse is serving $18 drinks in plastic cups.... I never review restaurants online, but i had such a horrible experience at the spring lake tap house that I felt it was a public service to warn other who don't want to get sick or waste money. It was the only place on the jersey shore that has available space on a Friday, night which is a huge red flag. The service was ok but it took over 45 minutes to get cold fish tacos and fries that had a rancid aroma and tasted bad. I ate one bite and couldn't bear anotjer. This is after not eating all day and having extreme hunger. The bartender took the meal off my bill, as if it was a common occurrence, but the bill was still 100 for 3 wines and 1 sandwich. After leaving, it took less than 30 mins to take up residency in my bathroom. Stay away!!!!! read more

After driving past this establishment for years, I finally had a chance to go and was very disappointed. Servers had no personality, no drive, no life. Place looked like it needs an update, especially the chairs, and it was ridiculously LOUD inside. We were so uncomfortable, couldn't carry on a conversation and left quickly after we received our food. Food was good but we had to put our own fajitas together??? We came to Tap House for a birthday party, which was held in the outdoor area under the umbrellas. It was a cute set up! The drinks were really good! I enjoyed a raspberry mojito and an Aperol cocktail. There was a server circulating out by the party but they probably needed more than one person out there. A highlight for me was the pretzel sticks! They were fluffy and salty. They were some of the best pretzel sticks I've experienced. The lady at the bar inside was a little rude and unwilling to have us order drinks inside since we were part of the outside party. This was off-putting, but everything else was fine. read more

I visited your establishment with my husband after a gala, dressed for a night out and looking forward to enjoying a few drinks and some bingo. My husband ordered a beer, and I ordered the Nutcracker Old Fashioned---your specialty drink that specifically lists Angel's Envy. However, the bartender, Patrick, made the drink using a different, lower-tier bourbon without informing me or asking whether a substitute was acceptable. When I realized the drink was mine and questioned the change, he immediately became combative, stating with attitude that it was the only bourbon available after a busy weekend. I explained that regardless of inventory, substitutions must be confirmed with the customer. He then grabbed the drink off the bar and said, "Fine, you want something else?" At that point, I no longer wanted him to make anything for me. The bottom line is simple: alcohol should never be switched without asking, and his attitude made the situation unnecessarily unpleasant. It probabl doesn't matter, but I won't return. read more

Upon arriving we were told our table we had a reservation for was mistakenly given away to another group., It was a packed Saturday night, 12/06. We were pretty aggravated and debated just leaving but the manager went above and beyond to find us a table. We couldn't stay mad. She was so nice, as were the hostesses. Our waitress was also great. Not sure what happened to this place. It was very expensive and food was ok. But as a restaurant manager I always wondered what was going on with the staff. I don't have any evidence so I'm not sure but it seemed as if something funny was going on. Despite some of the poor reviews about service, I think the Spring Lake Tap House is really trying to turn things around - they sat us right away (even without the whole party being there), our waitress was attentive and apologetic when drinks took a little while to come out, and food came relatively quickly. They have a decently sized beer list with mostly local beers (but wish they had the prices of the beer on the menu), and basically everything you expect to see on a tap house menu. We had the pretzel sticks and sweet potato skins to start; both were really good. My friend got the BYO burger which looked pretty good; although the starting price of $7 is appealing, everything else is an added price - even lettuce and tomato. The Drunken Pizza with vodka sauce and chicken had good flavor; three of us shared the large pie and still had leftovers. read more

Stopped by Tap House for an early lunch on Sunday morning before heading to the beach. We got there at 11:30 am and it was empty - two parties inside and a couple people sitting at the bar, no tables seated outside. We were seated immediately inside but for no good reason, it took another 5 minutes before the waiter returned to bring us our menus - 3 of the young adults working there were just standing around looking at their phones before coming over to give us menus; they even passed by a few times. I know restaurants all over are having issues hiring staff, however, this establishment had plenty of staff and it was empty - so no excuse for this. We started with the fried pickle planks. These were tasty but you don't get many to an order. The honey mustard and jalapeño ranch dipping sauces were tasty - we saved them for our fries/onion rings. For our entrees, I ordered off the T.A.B.L.E Which sandwich which comes with fries & a complimentary brunch cocktail. I requested no lettuce but instead it was made with a ton of lettuce and no tomatoes. My server offered to have the kitchen remake it - I said to just bring out a few tomato slices and I'd take the lettuce off myself. After that, it was very tasty and filling. My boyfriend ordered the Meatball Parm sub with onion rings. It was a giant sandwich and came with a big side of onion rings. The sandwich and the onion rings were good. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal - they just need to work on their service. read more

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon in June. The server was great, but food service was slow and they were out of so many beers for a "tap house." They literally have a sign that says "Featured" beers - Icarus & Allagash. My wife and sister in law ordered an Allagash he came back and said they are out. Ok no problem, ordered an Icarus - he comes back and yup that's out too. Ok then they ordered a Sam Adams Summer, which they actually had... well not really. The beers arrive and they are drinking them and my wife says it doesn't taste like she remembered. I tried it and its a mango flavored beer, not what she ordered.... I ask waiter he says "oh yeah I just heard someone inside say this isn't Sam Summer and the bartender said they just changed it to Sam Mango." WAS ANYONE PLANNING ON SAYING ANYTHING?? Nope. They finally brought out 2 Konas which they actually had... congrats! Honestly, Idk what was going on here but our visit was a joke. Charged full price for everything, nothing was even taken off the bill or discounted, seriously? We felt really bad for our server, couldn't imagine working where you're taking orders only to find out you're out of everything your customers order. read more

I was pretty underwhelmed with the food from Spring Lake Tap House. My husband and I got takeout a few nights ago, so maybe it's better if you dine in-house. To start, they weren't answering their phone when I tried to place our order. I finally got through after calling four or five times. Here's what we tried: - Buffalo Wings: Very spicy and came with too much sauce for my liking; they were drenched. However, the wings were tender and otherwise tasty. - Turkey Club Sandwich: Granted, I think it's hard to mess up a club sandwich, but this was one of the better items we ordered. It came with plenty of fresh turkey and crispy bacon and was a large enough portion that I had leftovers for lunch the next day. - Side of Sweet Potato Fries: My husband loves sweet potato fries, so you know they aren't good when he barely makes a dent in his order. These were extremely soggy and needed some salt. - Tap House Dip Sandwich: The meat was very dry. The dipping sauce helped, but it still was overall average at best. - Wasabi Mahi Bites: No frills, just grilled Mahi with a light teriyaki sauce. I didn't taste much wasabi; I hoped they'd be a little spicier. read more

Amazing restaurant with a perfect chill vibe, great food, and an excellent selection of local beers on tap. The outdoor area is a nice addition during the summer months. I tried two Hazy IPAs from different local breweries, and both were delicious. As someone who has explored breweries in the area, I appreciated the opportunity to try their offerings all in one place. The pretzel sticks and sweet potato skins were great starters, especially the sweet potato skins as these were super unique. The brick oven pizza, particularly the drunken pizza with vodka sauce, lived up to the hype. It was large and perfect for sharing for a group. First time here for dinner on a Tuesday. Server was nice enough but when we asked about their Taco Tuesday special he said he didn't know about it since he doesn't normally work on Tuesday and didn't bother to ask anyone there to get us the info. Then I saw a sign in the men's room saying it starts at 8:00. He didn't know that? I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and was served the chicken parm entree instead. Definitely not worth $24. When the bill came they had added a 3.99% up charge for credit cards even though we were paying cash. Really hate it when restaurants do this. Stupid and annoying practice leftover from Covid days. read more

Would it be wrong of me to take away a star because the place is always packed? Tempting. But, that's just a symptom of success and well-earned it is. Spring Lake Tap House has some of the best food around for a setting where one should just expect a burger and a beer. Nothing they put on the menu is done half-hearted. You want a burger? You can customize that to the moon. And don't forget the fries- they're the best around. Want a pizza? You'll get as good a pizza here as any of the top spots in NJ. Seafood? With the ocean a stroll away, you best believe it's good and fresh. I've had Cajun, Tex-Mex, it's all delicious. And don't forget to save room for dessert, with cakes and pies to die for. At full stock, the beer selection is wonderful. The specials offer great deals on the most popular drafts and with TVs everywhere, it's a good place to catch a game. As it is now summer, outdoor seating is available and you can enjoy a meal al fresco as opposed to potentially cramped quarters inside, but even indoors the seating is pretty well spaced out and plentiful. The parking is a little snug when packed, so allow me to recommend parking down the road at the nearby Spring Lake Train Station lot and taking a short stroll to the Tap House. Or just take the train if you can and have the best designated drivers in NJ Transit take you home. This is the best place to spend a night out in the area or to have a nice lunch. Trivia nights are fun, too. I wish they were open early for breakfast, but one can't have everything. Come on down to the Tap House, and come early so you can get a decent table and stay late. And bring a good appetite. read more

Needed something light after going to the art show in Spring Lake and this place popped up on Yelp. I admit that I read a number of reviews in Yelp to find a place close by - but discounted the remarks about it being very, very loud. My mistake ... The menu is a good one with a great variety - something for everyone and we chose the Open Faced Tuna Melt (my wife was very pleased) and the Chicken & Waffles (excellent, by the way - I didn't say this was going to be a "good for you food" stop). The wine list was nice and my wife found a nice J Lohr Cab while I was able to put together a nice flight of 4 beers (the flight is priced at $15 for four 7oz pours - not bad at all). My problem here is that I found that 3 of my choices were not available. It might be due to the fact that we went on a Sunday evening and they might have had a crazy weekend. Two bartenders who didn't do a very good job of providing good service were servicing the bar. They just could have been a little more attentive, Our biggest complaint, however, was the overly loud live music. It is like sitting in a wind tunnel and conversation is impossible. We were quite happy when he took a break and we switched to piped in music. Overall, a nice place with good food and the potential for a good beer experience but the noise level is off the chart - maybe I am just getting old. We will need to think about coming in again to get up to 3 or 4 stars. read more

Got off to a terrible start. My friend made an outdoor reservation and they sat us inside. It was a beautiful day, too. Not cool. I think our waitress thought she was being super attentive and resourceful but it was honestly just obnoxious. She came up to our table seemingly every ten seconds asking us what we wanted, how the food was, etc. Never gave us a chance to catch our breath. She asked us how our entrees were right after they came out, before any of us had a chance to even try our food. It seemed like she wanted to get us out of there as quickly as possible. I'll give credit where credit's due. The domestic beer buckets were a great deal. Amounted to about $3/beer. The cheese steak egg rolls were a solid app as well, although I don't think the spicy ketchup made any sense as a dip. A spicy aioli would've made more sense. My grilled chicken wrap was atrocious! How do you mess that up?? Whatever. My friend's entrees ranged from pretty bad to surprisingly tasty. One of my buddies got the sizzling steak sandwich - the steak was gross and the sandwich itself was open-faced, which the menu description did not specify. The Italian beef sandwich was dry and forgettable. On the other hand, the margarita pizza, burger, and chicken & waffles were surprisingly fire. Would order again. Wouldn't come back here except for drinks. I'm not very familiar with the Spring Lake area but I'm sure there are better options in the same price range. read more

Came for dinner and drinks on a Friday night! We sat outside on the picnic tables as it was very loud inside. We got a bunch of appetizers to split. We got the meatball sliders, drunken pizza, cheesesteak egg rolls, and sweet potato skins. The drunken pizza and meatball sliders were more on the dry side but we were able to order extra sauce on the side to help out. The sweet potato skins were amazing. They were very tasty and unique that most restaurants don't have. Great atmosphere, prices, and food. Good spot for date night or catching up with friends! read more

We go here as an easy "goto" spot of beers and appetizers. The food part continues to go downhill. Nachos last night with almost no cheese on top of stale chips. Fish tacos with a piece of fish over some coleslaw. Chewy steak bites. Raw burger. And I could be wrong but the new "convenience charge" they have on the bill if you use a credit card is junior league.
