Stopped in here yesterday for burgers with my boyfriend. It has a nice bar atmosphere. The burgers were great and come with your choice of fries or onion rings. Three of us stopped in for lunch today and were very happy we did. We were greeted by our bartender/waiter Mark. He was very nice and efficient. Husband started off with burger sliders as an appetizer. They weren't your now standard little patty on a tiny Hawaiian roll. These were big! And delicious. There was a great open face ruben sandwich, steak sandwich cooked to your preference and chicken parm sandwich loaded with chicken. They all came with nice crisp steak fries. The place is at the train station is very small but has a decent size bar and about 10 tables. Prices were reasonable for size and quality of food and the nice cold beers. When I travel I love to be introduced to the places the locals hang out. They usually are hidden gems that only the people you visit in that town know about. I also love local restaurant bars with live bands that are talented and have a great repertoire of all the old Classic Rock music. Better yet how about a bar right on the Jersey Shore in the small town of Manasquan. If you love to find these places look no further. Great local clientele that loves music and have a great time. Great food consisting of Big Juicy Burgers and Sliders, Fish and Chips, Chicken Wings and Fries and Reuben Sandwiches. Now I did not eat here because we came here after dinner, but after some drinks and seeing a man eating the best looking Burger I think I've ever seen and juicy too, the temptation almost got to me. Getting a feel for this place in the late afternoon. Not too busy, young crowd, 70-90's music blasting. There's 5 TV's and 2 dart boards. There's not too many tables and the bar area seats 12-13. This was formally the Manasquan Rail Road station. I found out there's NO happy hour. Not to my liking. The barkeep was friendly and knew how to pour a Guinness Stout. Since I did not eat at this establishment, I cannot rate it on its food. I rated it on its atmosphere, ambiance and the physical layout. Might return and eat here in the fall. read more

Made a reservation here for Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. Started with the Cajun Tuna Bites and the Tomato and Mozzarella salad. The tuna bites were a fisherman's dream! Seared perfectly on the outside and pink on the inside. The Cajun seasoning was spicy but not over powering. The side of wasabi aioli was delicious but not needed. The tomato salad was a delightful dish of multi colored tomatoes and mozzarella balls drizzled in a balsamic dressing. Both were delicious and plenty! We ordered Fish and Chips with "homemade chips". However we did end up cutting our lunch short due to something that made my family and friends uncomfortable. During our lunch our waitress(didn't give her name) came over to clear plates and without asking for permission starts touching my 10 month old babies face. My husband and I were super uncomfortable since we don't know this person and don't like strangers touching our kid(You can interact with her but don't touch) We didn't say anything at the time, but we asked for our bill paid it and left. rethinking it now a few days later and I'm still upset and super uncomfortable about the situation. Overheard the owner saying one chef was out and a bus boy was "arrested" so I guess they were short staffed. They closed the kitchen at 8:30 but we put our orders in before hand. Menu is expansive but the prices are very high and the portions do not match. A nice little pub restaurant in/at the train station. It was a small bar area with seats at the bar and a standing area as well. The seating area is also small with 4 or 5 booths, and 5 smaller tables. The atmosphere is cozy, authentic and nice. I was there on a Sunday, and the place was fairly busy. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure it was restaurant week. There was one waitress, and the bartender handling everything... Service was slower than I would have liked, and we ended up waiting for bill 10 minutes longer than we should have. We also had to have her bill corrected, which they were happy to do. The staff was trying the best, but they needed someone else on shift. The food was good, and the highlight was the seared tuna appetizer, which had this very good spicy green sauce with it. I could've eaten two more orders of it. I also got a burger cooked medium, and it was well-prepared, but the bun seems like it was right out of a supermarket package and not really a good match for a quality burger.
