Dang Jacks. I love to leave amazing reviews for local businesses, especially none chain businesses, as I work for one myself. I came in today for the first time after a long grueling work day, & my bartender greeted me instantly. Made me a delicious dirty martini - the right way, most places you go to you can still see through your martini glass. People who order dirty martinis love olives. So up the juice! And he did. My unfortunately sad review comes from my experience with my to go food. I ordered the drunk clams, love me some lemon butter garlic sauce for clams - and I saw on your menu you put beer into it. Honestly, they sucked. Large clams is a bonus, but not when they haven't been cleaned. I went for 4 or 5 clams before I gave up, every bite was gritty sandpaper in between my teeth. They have not been cleaned properly, and it's Belmar, so I'm hoping you get them locally. Too much sand where it shouldn't be. And the broth was so abundant, it leaked through my to go bag and got all over my passenger seat. Leave the beer out, replace it with white wine for the broth I beg of you. The beer taste was meh. Definitely willing to come back again and try other menu items.

We had a great time at Jack's by the Tracks! We tried the pierogies, wings, pretzel, and shrimp cocktail--everything was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was laid-back and fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, there was a bit of confusion when we were offered (unsolicited) 10 wings for $10 after placing an order of 6 wings for $15, the offer of 10 for $10 was later rescinded when food was brought out and set onto the table because the game wasn't on, which was disappointing and in poor taste especially since we never asked about any specials!!! Despite that, the food and service was otherwise solid, and I would consider maybe going back (probably not) two stars were lost for the whole wing debacle... it sort of ruined an otherwise great experiance, makes no sense really...

First time here. Figured we Check out the live music and catch a bite. Place was jumping. Got seated quickly outside. Service was decent for a busy scene. Ordered wings and "mile high" pastrami sandwich. Asked for wings crispy, which did not come that way. Ordered a mix is buffalo and mango habanero. Both tasted good but weren't cooked as well as we asked. Mile high pastrami was seemingly mile high. But the taste wasn't. Tasted like alcohol sprayed and then warmed up in a grill. Kinda nasty. Didn't finish it. Told waitress we didn't care for it but neither did she care what we thought lol. Would've been better just to serve it boiled not pan grilled. Or the pastrami was just overall bad. Disappointing. Music was good though. Not sure If we'd come back for food too soon.

The appetizer game is strong at Jacks by the Tracks in Belmar! We shared the drunken clams and mozzarella sticks and have absolutely no regrets. They have happy hour and live music here, too! We also received great service at the bar.

We arrived and got seated the waitress was very nice, seating was great sat outdoors and there was a live band, they played so loud it was difficult to hear my partner speak, we only ordered entrees and we waited 40 minutes for our foods to arrive , we were starving and ready to leave. The fish was ok (not worth the 40 min wait), nothing out of this world but I have to say the hero of the plate was the honey ginger carrots! Overall this place felt like a loud pub, because of the live band. Food was overall alright.

I had a great experience at Jackson the tracks in Belmar easy to find parking and great location. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks first they have a good beer selection, with a few local drafts. The bartender was friendly and made good food recommendations! Super clean inside! A great new go to in belmar!

Jack's Tavern has been around since early 1930's. Steaks, seafood, schnitzel, and sauerbraten are big hits here. The decor is cody with dark wood trim a d big fireplace. Cindy was wonderful! My fellow guest enjoyed a Manhattan alcoholic beverage, while I had water (doctor orders). We ate delicious, fresh oysters on the half shell with fresh lemon wedges and cocktail sauce. We each had a cup of clam soup--hers was creamy clam bisque and mine Manhattan clam chowder, both teaming with clams. Our eyes are bigger than our stomachs. We were full! Cindy told us about Sunday brunch from 11 am to 3 pm. For $6.95, you get a cocktail and a big breakfast meal such as French toast, eggs Benedict, omelette. Sounds good to me!

They were barely half full and the noise was not extremely loud. I had the New England clam chowder and as usual it was a great start to the meal. Plenty of clams and potatos in a creamy white sauce. To start the meal they also provided bread sticks with sesame seeds which is a real nice alternative to dinner rolls. With the sticks they also providing a dipping sauce that really tasted great. This the only place I can remember having breadsticks during dinner and loved it. For dinner I had stuffed flounder with rice and vegetables. The fish was prepared real well and came with plenty of crabmeat and stuffing. Inside it was real moist and tasted great. Along with that was rice and mixed vegetables. In the restaraunt the vegetables were a bit harder then I would prefer but when I reheated the meal at home they were perfect. But if you you are an al dente vegetable they would be fine for you. My wife picked something off the specials of the day. Shrimp, Mahi, broccoli, mushrooms, pine nuts all over rice. She felt this was a great meal and would definitely get it again. It was a nice blend of a bunch of tastes and textures, and the pine nuts are always a great addition to a meal. With less people to deal with the service was right on point, with several returns to our table to make sure everything was well. I feel you will always have a great meal here. But at times there will be a wait to get a table and it will be a bit loud... But in my mind you will always walk out smiling

Parking is plentiful, although some lots are paid while others are free. Be prepared for a wait during peak times, but their waitlist system lets you track your place in line, so getting there early is worth it. We started with the Fire Island Roll and Black Dragon Roll, and both were excellent. The standout entrée was the Hot Buttered Lobster Roll, packed with generous chunks of lobster and easily one of the best lobster rolls on the Shore. The Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp was another winner, with a generous portion and flavorful crab stuffing. The Whole Sea Bass special was slightly smaller than expected but still satisfying, while the Blackened Halibut was cooked well but could have used a sauce to bring the dish together. A special shoutout to the staff, who made the smart decision not to seat guests at umbrella-covered tables when storms were approaching. When the wind and thunder rolled in, everyone remained safely under covered areas. Great seafood, beautiful views, and thoughtful service make Klein's well worth a visit.

Tonight was especially spectacular for me, hence the essay review. The organization starting all the way from the ample parking, to the hostess system + the waiting areas made a 55 min wait absolutely seamless, even during a busy Sunday night rush. This visit was everything I could've asked for, and more. My party of 4 and I shared the following apps & entrees: -fried calamari -soaring scallops -fra diablo mussels -fish tacos -blackened red snapper w/waffle fries Everything was delicious, and the snapper stole the show. We downed our bites with some frozen margaritas, YUM! The steamed veggies w/ the snapper platter were particularly refreshing and perfectly cooked. The blackened seasoning was on point. The mussels are my father's all time favorite, therefore they have a special place in my book; they are a must order. Can't go wrong with a calamari app, but the soaring scallops were a bit underwhelming and would probably switch it for my usual spicy tuna roll next time. I have to take a moment for the most important aspect of our dinner. Our server Todd is the epitome of top tier service and dedication to customer satisfaction. Just based off the introduction, I knew we were in good hands. He made sure we were set up and coursed our meal in such a timely matter that every step of service was hit. He made it his business to touch the table every time food was dropped, which is a BIG green flag. If ever something was needed, we did not have to look far or wait for attention. These are the 101's of the service industry that seem to get lost in the sauce more often than not, and he managed to excel in every category I look for when I'm spending my money out. I hope his pillow is always cold at night. All things combined; the overall family oriented vibe, waterside sunset dining, friendly and efficient staff, great food and reasonably priced drinks, makes for the dream post beach dinner. I have been here a million times and I would come back a million more, and would 100% request Todd. Thanks guys !!!!

Plenty of spots in the parking lot and easy to pay for 2 hours on the app - signs don't say what time the "meters" go off, but with 2 restaurants sharing the lot, we figured you probably have to pay until at least 8 pm, and we were early (5:30 ish). Got seated quickly, in a booth near a wide opening out to the beautiful patio on the water. Rather warm in the restaurant and there were overhead fans that weren't rotating, but it wasn't uncomfortable. We'd have had to wait a bit for an outdoor table, and anyway it was a hot humid day and night so indoors suited us just fine. One friend had the lobster bisque, served with a good chunk of a bread that looked tasty (she's not a bread lover but she enjoyed it so it must have been delicious) and she really liked the soup. Then she added another appetizer, spicy garlic shrimp. Generous portion of 6 shrimp. My other friend had the crabcake & shrimp plate, which came with a side salad that our waitress was savvy enough to bring first when our other friend was enjoying her soup. Some crumbled feta on the side salads, a nice touch. When she ordered, my friend asked if the crabcake had a lot of breading and our server assured her that it doesn't; that turned out to be accurate! I also got that side salad with the Ahi tuna bowl I ordered. This was a bowl of dry, bland white rice (might have been jasmine rice but not strong flavor). On one side atop the rice was a good portion of seaweed salad, which I love. Piled sort-of artistically on the other side of the rice mound were several small slices (6? 7?) of perfectly "black and blue" tuna crusted with both black and white sesame seeds. The fish and salad were delicious but not terribly filling. I ate most of the rice. I noticed that there was a marinade at the bottom and began to mix the rice with the marinade that was tasty. They do add 2.5% for credit cards, but that's fair enough these days. Entrées are on the pricey side, I thought ($39. for the crab/shrimp dish, 32 for my tuna, 12 for the lobster bisque), but there aren't any bargains dining out these days. We had no complaints, other than my somewhat dry rice. I'd like to give it 3 1/2 stars but will err on the generous side. We'll probably return next year on our beach day!

Its on the water, so we waited for an outside table. We only waited about 25 mins on a very busy night (we were quoted 45) which I was pleased by. The tuna nachos were my favorite bite of the night. The plate was giant to share and the flavors were delicious. I got the shrimp and lobster pasta and if you are considering that, I would pass. The shrimp had a funny, almost lemon essense flavor. The lobster was tasty (can't really mess up lobster). The pasta however was mucky in my opinion. The pasta itself was broken so it wasn't easy to twirl and the flavor was just very bland. My friends got the salmon and the shrimp. Both looked delicious. I do have to mention that we did love that the entrees came with a side salad. Overall it was a lovely spot. Absolutely beautiful there. Hang at the outside bar as you wait for your table!

We were seated in the covered front deck area which was separated from the interior restaurant. It was an 80-85° day but the temperature in the space was relatively comfortable. We had grabbed a few bottles of white from the conveniently located liquor store across the street. I love me a good BYOB establishment. We started with the tuna pizza, an order of oysters, garlic shrimp, beet salad, and the Bibb salad. (Just a side note, they want you to place your starters and entrees at the same time). Everything came out in a reasonable time and was all very good. The Tuna pizza was not at all what I was envisioning but was a pleasant surprise both presentation and taste wise. The shrimp were interesting because they looked like they would be super flavorful, but just felt kind of flat. Both of the salads were delicious, I really enjoyed the Bibb and would highly recommend it. I had the Bluefin and it was really good, the portion size was fair and the fish was extremely fresh. It was far from the best bluefin I've had, but would recommend it nonetheless. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees as well and overall I would say we had a great time. We chose to sit in the enclosed veranda at the front of the restaurant; Amelia's is located on Ocean Ave. and has some beautiful views! We started with a few cocktails - my partner got the Lavender Martini, which she said was very good. I got the Pineapple Margarita, which was excellent! I saw meatballs on the menu - I always order meatballs when having Italian cuisine (Amelia's represents itself as '...a blend of old school Italian and contemporary continental cuisine..'. They were some of the best meatballs I've ever had. Amelia's blends pork, veal and beef for its meatballs - they're tender and seasoned perfectly! The marinara was excellent and there was a dollop of ricotta to stir into the sauce. It was an epic appetizer! For our entrees, I ordered Wild Caught Shrimp Oreganata with mixed vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. The shrimp were butterflied and quickly grilled - they had a plump, tender interior with a grilled exterior, in a delicious sauce. The potatoes were very good, and while I'm not a big fan of the mixed vegetables, they were good. My partner ordered one of the specials - the Lobster Capelinni. - 6 oz. of lobster on top of angel hair pasta with a delicious tomato-brandy sauce! We couldn't believe how much lobster was on the pasta - it was tender and very tasty! After 2 excellent entrees, we decided to try the desserts. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. I ordered the Carrot Cake (one of my favorite desserts) and my partner ordered the Chocolate Cake, one of her favorite desserts! My 'carrot cake' wasn't a cake but a conglomeration of icing and thick layers of 'fudge-like' cake. Visions of a fluffy, rich cake with freshly grated carrots and 'warm spices' flew out the window! My partners chocolate cake was dry and not moist at all - I've had Duncan Hines chocolate cakes that tasted better!! While the desserts were a big disappointment, the meal was excellent and we will return to Amelia's on our next visit to Spring Lake.
