We had a great time at Jack's by the Tracks! We tried the pierogies, wings, pretzel, and shrimp cocktail--everything was delicious. The atmosphere was laid-back and fun. However, there was a bit of confusion when we were offered (unsolicited) 10 wings for $10 after placing an order of 6 wings for $15, the offer of 10 for $10 was later rescinded when food was brought out and set onto the table because the game wasn't on, which was disappointing and in poor taste especially since we never asked about any specials!!! Despite that, the food and service was otherwise solid, and I would consider maybe going back (probably not) two stars were lost for the whole wing debacle... it sort of ruined an otherwise great experiance, makes no sense really...

Dang Jacks. I love to leave amazing reviews for local businesses, especially none chain businesses, as I work for one myself. I came in today for the first time after a long grueling work day, & my bartender greeted me instantly. Made me a delicious dirty martini - the right way, most places you go to you can still see through your martini glass. People who order dirty martinis love olives. So up the juice! And he did. My unfortunately sad review comes from my experience with my to go food. I ordered the drunk clams, love me some lemon butter garlic sauce for clams - and I saw on your menu you put beer into it. Honestly, they sucked. Large clams is a bonus, but not when they haven't been cleaned. I went for 4 or 5 clams before I gave up, every bite was gritty sandpaper in between my teeth. They have not been cleaned properly, and it's Belmar, so I'm hoping you get them locally. Too much sand where it shouldn't be. And the broth was so abundant, it leaked through my to go bag and got all over my passenger seat. Leave the beer out, replace it with white wine for the broth I beg of you. The beer taste was meh. Definitely willing to come back again and try other menu items.

First time here. Figured we Check out the live music and catch a bite. Place was jumping. Got seated quickly outside. Service was decent for a busy scene. Ordered wings and "mile high" pastrami sandwich. Asked for wings crispy, which did not come that way. Ordered a mix is buffalo and mango habanero. Both tasted good but weren't cooked as well as we asked. Mile high pastrami was seemingly mile high. But the taste wasn't. Tasted like alcohol sprayed and then warmed up in a grill. Kinda nasty. Didn't finish it. Told waitress we didn't care for it but neither did she care what we thought lol. Would've been better just to serve it boiled not pan grilled. Or the pastrami was just overall bad. Disappointing. Music was good though. Not sure If we'd come back for food too soon.

The appetizer game is strong at Jacks by the Tracks in Belmar! We shared the drunken clams and mozzarella sticks and have absolutely no regrets. They have happy hour and live music here, too! We also received great service at the bar.

We arrived and got seated the waitress was very nice, seating was great sat outdoors and there was a live band, they played so loud it was difficult to hear my partner speak, we only ordered entrees and we waited 40 minutes for our foods to arrive , we were starving and ready to leave. The fish was ok (not worth the 40 min wait), nothing out of this world but I have to say the hero of the plate was the honey ginger carrots! Overall this place felt like a loud pub, because of the live band. Food was overall alright.

I had a great experience at Jackson the tracks in Belmar easy to find parking and great location. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks first they have a good beer selection, with a few local drafts. The bartender was friendly and made good food recommendations! Super clean inside! A great new go to in belmar!

Jack's Tavern has been around since early 1930's. Steaks, seafood, schnitzel, and sauerbraten are big hits here. The decor is cody with dark wood trim a d big fireplace. Cindy was wonderful! My fellow guest enjoyed a Manhattan alcoholic beverage, while I had water (doctor orders). We ate delicious, fresh oysters on the half shell with fresh lemon wedges and cocktail sauce. We each had a cup of clam soup--hers was creamy clam bisque and mine Manhattan clam chowder, both teaming with clams. Our eyes are bigger than our stomachs. We were full! Cindy told us about Sunday brunch from 11 am to 3 pm. For $6.95, you get a cocktail and a big breakfast meal such as French toast, eggs Benedict, omelette. Sounds good to me!

They were barely half full and the noise was not extremely loud. I had the New England clam chowder and as usual it was a great start to the meal. Plenty of clams and potatos in a creamy white sauce. To start the meal they also provided bread sticks with sesame seeds which is a real nice alternative to dinner rolls. With the sticks they also providing a dipping sauce that really tasted great. This the only place I can remember having breadsticks during dinner and loved it. For dinner I had stuffed flounder with rice and vegetables. The fish was prepared real well and came with plenty of crabmeat and stuffing. Inside it was real moist and tasted great. Along with that was rice and mixed vegetables. In the restaraunt the vegetables were a bit harder then I would prefer but when I reheated the meal at home they were perfect. But if you you are an al dente vegetable they would be fine for you. My wife picked something off the specials of the day. Shrimp, Mahi, broccoli, mushrooms, pine nuts all over rice. She felt this was a great meal and would definitely get it again. It was a nice blend of a bunch of tastes and textures, and the pine nuts are always a great addition to a meal. With less people to deal with the service was right on point, with several returns to our table to make sure everything was well. I feel you will always have a great meal here. But at times there will be a wait to get a table and it will be a bit loud... But in my mind you will always walk out smiling

It's definitely more of a no frills, casual seafood place but there's also a seafood market attached with fair prices. We found the price to be pretty fair given the quality of the seafood and portion sizes. My group ordered the bang bang shrimp, mussels fra diablo, clam strips, snow crab legs, crab stuffed flounder and warm lobster roll and everyone enjoyed their meal and were stuffed at the end. I especially loved the fra diablo sauce and asked for extra bread to soak it all up! Our server was also friendly and service was great too.

It is not a scene that stirs the soul or quiets the mind, but it is fine for staring at when there is nothing else to do. I came for lunch on a weekend, early enough to avoid the mob that usually descends later in the day. Getting a table was easy. Finding a parking space was not. It is always the same story there, a little game of musical bumper cars. When I made it inside, I found the tables to be sticky in the way that suggests they had been wiped down but not really cleaned. The servers moved with the slow grace of people who had already given up on the afternoon. They were not rude, just absent in spirit. I ordered the fried oysters because it seemed like something they ought to do well. They were fine, in the way that lukewarm applause is fine. Not offensive, not memorable. The breading was heavy, the flavor lost somewhere between the fryer and the plate. For the price, one expects a little magic, or at least a spark of care. Neither arrived. Klein's feels like a place living off its own legend, a faded postcard from better days. People go because they have always gone. The fish is there, the view is there, but the heart of it seems to have gone missing. It is not terrible, but it is not worth the time or the money either. Three stars, mostly for nostalgia.

We were seated in the covered front deck area which was separated from the interior restaurant. It was an 80-85° day but the temperature in the space was relatively comfortable. We had grabbed a few bottles of white from the conveniently located liquor store across the street. I love me a good BYOB establishment. We started with the tuna pizza, an order of oysters, garlic shrimp, beet salad, and the Bibb salad. (Just a side note, they want you to place your starters and entrees at the same time). Everything came out in a reasonable time and was all very good. The Tuna pizza was not at all what I was envisioning but was a pleasant surprise both presentation and taste wise. The shrimp were interesting because they looked like they would be super flavorful, but just felt kind of flat. Both of the salads were delicious, I really enjoyed the Bibb and would highly recommend it. I had the Bluefin and it was really good, the portion size was fair and the fish was extremely fresh. It was far from the best bluefin I've had, but would recommend it nonetheless. Everyone else enjoyed their entrees as well and overall I would say we had a great time. It was a bit pricey, but it's Spring Lake so that was baked into the cake. Will visit again, and this time I'll remember to order the lobster roll.

They use olive oil over seed oils for example, and ingredients that actually make you feel good after you eat. We started off with the raw bar--fresh clams that tasted like the ocean in the best way. Then we had to try the famous tuna pizza, and wow! I get the hype now. It was the perfect combo of crunchy, creamy, and salty and I'll be dreaming about it for days to come! The garlic shrimp was delicious and had a savory juice, something you'd find in a Spanish tapas restaurant which was perfect for bread dipping. The spaghetti with clams was a classic but elevated dish and came with a generous portion. We tried the ahi tuna lo mein from their specials and that was a fun addition. It doesn't taste greasy so don't expect takeout quality. Their sushi was seriously impressive and some of the best I've had in NJ. We got the kamikaze roll, ninja roll, and chef's nigiri. Totally fresh and easy to eat. Even the mocktails were next level. We tried the Heat Wave and Chicha Sour. Both so unique and had us feeling refreshed after, not sluggish. Of course we ended with dessert. The banana bread pudding made in-house was a huge treat. So delectable and moist. The lemon sorbet was a great way to cleanse our palate and was very refreshing. This place is where high-quality meets creative! Even the ambiance reflects their sustainable beliefs. They have a beautiful coastal inspired design in a minimalist way, using lots of natural textures in the designs. The service was fantastic and attentive. I will be recommending this to all my family and friends!
