Tucked along the Jersey Shore, Skratch Kitchen brings together local ingredients, creative flavor pairings, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. We indulged in the Burrata with port wine-poached pears and spicy honey, the Gorgonzola Stuffed Figs wrapped in prosciutto with an espresso demi glaze, the comforting Eggplant Parm, and the vibrant Chili Lime Marinated Grilled Jumbo Shrimp -- each dish as flavorful as it was beautifully presented. It's the perfect blend of coastal charm and elevated comfort food -- and definitely one of Bradley Beach's best spots for a relaxed yet refined night out. I also must mention that everyone from the hostess to the serving staff and even the owner were extremely personable!

This place is absolutely headed out of the park for me tonight. It's been on my list for a long time and I'm so glad that I finally made it. Inside your greeted with a warm friendly vibe that is cute and quaint. Out back is a small and welcoming space that is simple yet just perfect for what this place is. The menu has a lot of enticing items on it and there really is something for everybody. We started with a Caesar salad and I have to say it was delicious. The only disappointment is the Parm crouton was burnt. We then had the grilled artichoke appetizer, which is one of the best preparations I've ever had of an artichoke. Our mains were really solid as well. Highly recommend the cioppino that comes in a saffron tomato broth. The chicken Milanese was also a very nice dish and had their own twist on it with the topping. We didn't get to dessert, but we wish we had saved room. Oh, by the way, it's a BYO! Overall, we experienced great food, ambience, and service. I highly recommend anyone in the area, trying to snag a reservation or go off-season and take a chance.

I recently visited Skratch Kitchen for dinner while I was visiting the area with family. It is such a charming restaurant, especially the back patio area, and the food is truly exceptional. We ordered the calamari, artichoke appetizer, linguini with clams, spaghetti with meatballs, NY strip steak, and soft shell crab entree. Everything was delicious. I'm a snob when it comes to linguini with clams, as it's one of my favorite dishes of all time. I can say that the version at Skratch is one of the best I've ever tasted. The staff members are all so nice as well and were so friendly and welcoming. I look forward to returning the next time I'm in town!

I have been here several times now since my last review over a year. You need to make reservations even in the winter months. For appetizer we ordered the calamari salad which was a large tentacle with olives and capers. My daughter and I ordered the special, squid ink pasta with lobster, shrimp and Scallops. So good and such a generous portion. Her hubby enjoyed the bolognese saying it was so flavorful and such a filling meal. My hubby found the Octopus and Calmari just as good as the first time. The food is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. So it a great place for those special nights out.

One of my locale favorites! In this visit we had a Burrata special with pears, pomegranate and pistachios. I had the Fusili (same as the Trofie I had in summer 2022 when they opened - pasta with pesto, burst tomatoes, artichoke hearts); despite the tomato's not being very "burst," the dish was saucier than I remember - and it was delicious! My husband enjoyed the Stuffed Rigatoni and Shrimp but wished the shrimp were deveined. We split the Chocolate Bundino for dessert which was the perfect finish to the meal!

After a day at the beach, we were all craving an early dinner and took to Yelp to find a spot that looked good. Skratch Kitchen was super close by and the menu looked right up everyone's alley. It was an easy choice! When they say outside seating, don't think sidewalk. We were led around back to a little shaded oasis that was so comfortable, cozy and honestly could not have been more perfect. If it's a nice day out, I would ask to sit out there. The menu had a little bit of everything: pasta, salads, seafood, chicken. It was definitely on the pricey side with most entrees $30+, but portions were big and everything was delicious. Three of us got the grilled artichoke to start. Delicious and really not like any grilled artichoke I've had before. They were wrapped in prosciutto with a sweet goat cheese. Almost looked like three perfect lamb chops. I got the linguine clams and the chicken savoy and split both. I honestly don't know what I loved more. The linguine clams were so delicious and loved the bits of cauliflower and guanciale. Every little bit was devoured. The chicken savoy was so tasty as well. It was soft chicken thighs covered in sweet and hot peppers. They defintiley gave the dish a kick, so if you are not a fan of heat, just ask for it without the hot peppers. Just a note that you will need to like vinegar (luckily I love it). So if you are looking for a good meal and are okay with it being on the pricier side, I would recommend.

Delicious. Starting with artichoke appetizer with ham and cheese wrapper and unique sauce. Pastas to perfection. Super friendly service. Fast time to bread on table. Fast time to food on table. Brighter inside than the predecessor restaurant.

Another one of the best local restaurants in the Bradley Beach area. The food is absolutely phenomenal. BYOB is always the best. Don't miss this phenomenal local restaurant. Everything we have ever had has been phenomenal.

Dessert is served tiramisu & carrot cake. I would go back just for the desserts 10 out of 10.

Skratch Kitchen in Bradley Beach is a hidden gem that blends comfort food with creative, elevated twists. From the moment you walk in, you feel the relaxed, beachy vibe--perfect for a dinner with friends. The staff is warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they serve.

Visited Cave Bistro off the recommendation of a friend, and also DDD (iykyk)…read more I've frequented many DDD Restaurant's in the past, and they always seem to be very crowded. So just to be safe, I did make a reservation right when the restaurant opened. Seems to say I played it a bit too safe, I was the only one i there for the first 20-min.! In any case, then dining area was very bright and open, and I was seated near the window, which I enjoyed. I tried three foods, appetizer-entree-dessert, here's the breakdown: 1) Appetizer: Pan Roasted Achiote Octopus ($22) which has Shaved Pickled Carrots & Onions, Chermoula. For 1 person, this was quite substantial and a delicious start to the meal. The octopus wasn't tough, it was cooked perfectly, with a nice char-grilled flavour. Paired up with the accoutrements, it was a 10/10 way to begin my meal! 2) Entree: Grass-Fed Beef-Roasted Marrow Burger ($26) which has Raclette Cheese, Caramelized Onion-Tomato Jam, Fresh Baked Gluten Free Brioche Bun, & Beef Tallow Fries. Why 4-stars? Because of this item. The day I arrived the restaurant was trying their new "Baked Gluten-Free Brioche" on me, apparently I was one of the first --- the bread was dry AF, lol! I loved the burger --- the marrow taste, the raclette cheese --- I sing their praises, but wrong day to test out the "test bread"! It ended up on a Yelp Review. Hopefully the bread-recipe has been improved on after this review. PS: The onion-tomato jam perfectly pairs with the richness of the marrow burger. 3) Lastly, I ordered for dessert the bread pudding. They don't put their desserts on the menu, but if you ask the server they will let you know what the restaurant has for the day. I believe it's seasonal as well. It was average at best, good ---- but didn't stand-out. Overall, I'd totally recommend a stop-by if you're in the area! It's always awesome visiting these sites features on DDD, and tasting for yourself the hype behind their food!

Planning on a return trip to eat all the small plates and give the spring lamb bolognese with whipped ricotta on rigatoni a try. Unpretentious relaxing vibe, small space and service with a smile.

I'm in a mood so I'm gonna go on one today…read more The Grand Tavern is hands down the best restaurant in the area. My husband and I have been going here for years. We don't come as often as we used to because yes it is pricey but I would much rather come here and have a special night with incredible service, food, and drinks than still spend over $100 at another restaurant and get average food. The Grand Tavern is unpretentious, welcoming, entrees offer sizable portions. I have NEVER left hungry. Main complaints I see are price - again, yes it's expensive but it's worth it. Also you can see the menu before you go, how do you not know what you're walking into?? Complaints about the burger. First of all the menu changes seasonally. There's no way their patty is frozen. Everything is FRESH AF. And yeah, American cheese is king on a burger. Again, it's on the menu what did you expect? This is a restaurant that has literally never disappointed. I will always save my pennies for a great night out here. Everyone's entitled to their opinion obviously but entitlement is a hell of a drug. Check out the menu and have a great night.

I did not expect the sides to be as tasty as they were!! The potstickers had an AMAZING filling but the consistency of the shell was a little chewy, but we are being very critical because of the price. Finally, the dessert came with a marscapone-like cream that we put on the soufflé and it melted into the dessert. We would definitely reccomend the soufflé but make sure you ask for it at the beginning of your meal because it takes 45 minutes to cook! We thought the service was good. We did have to wait 20 minites for our reservation, however, the host let us know there would be a wait and while we were waiting a waiter came out and opened our wine bottle and gave us glasses.
