We go here a decent amount. I got the veggie omelette and it's so yummy. My husband gets the meatloaf and he loves it. It was packed when we went but service was still great and the atmosphere is quaint !

I had wanted to try someplace new for brunch so I found The Buttered Biscuit on Yelp. The interior is cute/cozy with a nice long counter and merch for sale in the front. We ordered the corned beef hash benedict dish and blueberry pancakes. Food is good along with their coffee. A nice stop for brunch or lunch.

Back again and I wasn't disappointed at all. Service was perfect. The staff were welcoming, attentive and the wait was not too long. This time I ordered from the lunch menu, and I was happy with my choice - Daddy Dave's Maryland Crab Cake Sandwich (Homemade Crab Cake sautéed & served on a Grilled Bun w/ Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion and a side of Herb Mayo) everything was fresh and tasty. We also ordered the Ho Cakes - a southern-style corn pancake topped with butter and raspberry jam. Oh my goodness that was delicious. This cafe feeling atmosphere with an amazing selection of breakfast and lunch to choose from, was the perfect start to my day.

Such a cute cafe in a quaint town. We were here after Labor Day and the restaurant and shopping strip were still hoping! They offer outside dining as well as 2 sides on the inside. We called ahead to get an idea of the wait time. It wasn't too bad and we only waited a few minutes to be seated. They have a great menu and our meals were delicious!! I wasn't that impressed with the biscuit that was given with each meal. It was a little dry for my liking. I expected more from it due to the name of the restaurant. And the butter could be more sweeter. But with that said my meal was absolutely delicious!!! I had the Cali crab omelette. AMAZING!! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We came here both mornings for brunch during the Sea Hear Now festival. Everything was delicious. I loved the caramelized grapefruit with strawberries, veggie omelet, biscuits and cinnamon butter, and side of pork roll one day and crispy bacon the other. I loved the mix of sweet and savory. Everyone loved their food and raved about the crab cakes and French toast varieties. It was easy to accommodate our groups of 5 and 9. I would definitely come here again.

This place is a gem! Definitely worth checking out. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, beautiful atmosphere and good prices. We got biscuits and sausage gravy and a crab cake eggs benedict. Both were wonderful, definitely will be back.

The famous grilled crumb cake... You must try this!

I have had this spot on my bookmarks forever because I have been dying to try this famous grilled crumb cake. Thankfully I finally ended up in this area. We got a nice table for two under a big umbrella so even though it was over 90 degrees we were still comfortable. Our server Lori brought us over some menus along with some ice waters and I also ordered an unsweetened iced tea. They had so many good things to choose from but I figured since I was definitely getting some crumb cake I should choose a lunch entree for myself. We were there on a Sunday around 1:30 so it could go either way. They had some really tempting French toast on the menu too. So I decided on the grilled pastrami and Swiss on rye and that came with some coleslaw and a pickle and of course the Homemade Crumb Cake grilled in butter and sprinkled w/ cinnamon sugar. My hubby went with one of his all time breakfast faves Homemade corned beef hash. They had a special that was served with grilled asparagus, Swiss cheese, poached eggs, and hollandaise served with a homemade biscuit with cinnamon butter and jelly. We had our crumb cake first... now I see what everyone raves about. It just melts in your mouth. It's so moist and delicious. I love crumb cake and I think this was the best I have ever had. Then our entrees came out. Everything looked delicious. I put some coleslaw and mustard on my pastrami sandwich and took a bite. It was so good. I was happy with my selection. I asked my hubby how his food was and he said the corned beef hash was some of the best he's ever had and he said the biscuit was great too. So of course I had to sample the biscuit with some of that delicious cinnamon butter and he definitely wasn't wrong. I'm so happy I finally made it here. Our server Lori was so great and friendly and all of the food was so delicious. I'm definitely going to make it a point to be back in this area just so I can try more of their delicious food. Hig

I really like this cafe. The space is nicely decorated and is clean. The menu has a wide variety to choose from. Everything sounds so good. We ordered their specials and it was delicious. Their biscuits were soft and flaky paired so well with the cinnamon butter. The coffee was good as well. The service was friendly and food came out in a timely manner.

Delicious breakfast/ lunch spot in Bradley Beach. There was a bit of a wait at 11am on a Sunday, but once sat, the service was quick and the food was delicious. Highly recommend if you're in town.

Crab omelette and biscuit with cinnamon butter and corned beef hash

I thought I had reviewed this place before and not given it 5 stars. I took a date, someone I really connect with and wanted to impress, here because it's not far from where she lives and just seemed like someplace she would like. I don't remember being a spacious, but the place looks very inviting once you enter. The staff is friendly and efficient. We took our time ordering because we were talking. The coffee was better than I remembered it. My date had the crab omelette which she gave me some of and was absolutely delicious. Crab was light and cooked just perfectly and so were the eggs very fluffy not overdone. She also had a biscuit with the cinnamon butter. I eat some of that delicious. I'm not a big fan of that style of biscuit, but it was very good. We had bacon also cooked perfectly. I did not try any of her potatoes, but she ate them all so I'm assuming they were good. She also ordered the corned beef hash as a side. I had some and is was very good. Definitely not out of a can. I had the Challah French toast, with just butter and syrup, excellent. Probably one place in my life, down in Florida was better and that was it. She took most of her food home, but overall a very pleasant and delicious dining experience definitely will be back.

You're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, and you're not supposed to pick a restaurant because of its name. Oh well. The Millennial Chum and I stopped here for brunch after a weird/uneven town-wide yard sale in nearby Ocean Grove (which had like 10 yard sales despite the fact that that town was tailormade for such an event; maybe they'll figure it out next year). I can always get down for a buttered biscuit, and both of us were in a plant challenge that required us to eat 30 different plants in a week so the app section promoting the grapefruit and pineapple helped seal the deal for us. The location is super convenient though it was definitely busy midday on a sunny, hot Saturday. We secured parking about 100 yards away (we initially parked near the train station but weren't convinced that we wouldn't be towed during the meal despite it being the weekend) and were pleased to find zero wait for either indoor or outdoor seating. Since some of the outdoor tables had shade, that's where we went, right on the sidewalk for some primo canine chum viewing. We split the aforementioned appetizers, the grapefruit and pineapple. Great optics, especially for the pineapple, and there's something about cold fruit during a heat wave that hits differently. That said, both of us felt the grapefruit was an unfortunate miss; the caramelized sugar is burned, basically like a Creme Brulé situation, and the tang of the burn doesn't mesh well with the acidity of the grapefruit, in my opinion - it basically doubles down on a really intense flavor. I'd suggest they maintain the sugar to balance it out (it's the right idea), but leave the mini blowtorch at home. The pineapple was better; little on the tougher side but I'm not sure there's a way to avoid that when the pineapple is made-to-order like this. The inclusion of the strawberries on both was clutch though. In the least surprising development of the day, the biscuits were the star. I got the Eggs Oscar (Eggs Benedict with crabcake and asparagus), which was decent. I wouldn't have gotten the asparagus if we weren't in the plant challenge, especially if I'd known they were chopped into the dish like this, but they weren't bad, just crunchier than I prefer (and that's on me). The almighty biscuit was perfect, and the hollandaise wasn't utilized too heavily, which to me is always the downfall of that dish. Surprisingly, the crabcake was kind of a non-entity here - I could barely taste it so I'm not sure if it wasn't a big portion comparatively speaking or if it just got drowned out by the other flavors. But by far my favorite part was when the Millennial Chum last minute ordered a single biscuit to split, which we applied with cinnamon butter. Heavenly. The service was very good. Our waitress was clearly busy (understandably so) but stopped by regularly and was friendly/engaging, good-naturedly teasing us from time to time. The food came out pretty much immediately, and I don't recall a wait time for really anything; a well-oiled machine in most respects. Also, we were both visibly stunned at the bill - $4 apps? In a Jersey Shore town during summer? Truly wild. Lot of solid intangibles here, and at the very least I've found a biscuit that rivals Roy Rogers (RIP) for the best all time.

So just to be safe, I did make a reservation right when the restaurant opened. Seems to say I played it a bit too safe, I was the only one i there for the first 20-min.! In any case, then dining area was very bright and open, and I was seated near the window, which I enjoyed. I tried three foods, appetizer-entree-dessert, here's the breakdown: 1) Appetizer: Pan Roasted Achiote Octopus ($22) which has Shaved Pickled Carrots & Onions, Chermoula. For 1 person, this was quite substantial and a delicious start to the meal. The octopus wasn't tough, it was cooked perfectly, with a nice char-grilled flavour. Paired up with the accoutrements, it was a 10/10 way to begin my meal! 2) Entree: Grass-Fed Beef-Roasted Marrow Burger ($26) which has Raclette Cheese, Caramelized Onion-Tomato Jam, Fresh Baked Gluten Free Brioche Bun, & Beef Tallow Fries. Why 4-stars? Because of this item. The day I arrived the restaurant was trying their new "Baked Gluten-Free Brioche" on me, apparently I was one of the first --- the bread was dry AF, lol! I loved the burger --- the marrow taste, the raclette cheese --- I sing their praises, but wrong day to test out the "test bread"! It ended up on a Yelp Review. Hopefully the bread-recipe has been improved on after this review. PS: The onion-tomato jam perfectly pairs with the richness of the marrow burger. 3) Lastly, I ordered for dessert the bread pudding. They don't put their desserts on the menu, but if you ask the server they will let you know what the restaurant has for the day. I believe it's seasonal as well. It was average at best, good ---- but didn't stand-out. Overall, I'd totally recommend a stop-by if you're in the area! It's always awesome visiting these sites features on DDD, and tasting for yourself the hype behind their food!

Very nice presentation for a tavern. Ribs and wings combo was very good. Wings were perfect for Buffalo style. An option for hotter flavor would be make them shine even more. Rib eye steak was was cooked perfectly but a bit light on flavor. Servers were attentive except for the missing salads. We grabbed our takeout and took it home. Upon opening each item, I grew more and more concerned with how it looked. Everything we was either overcooked or dried out. The pulled pork was stringy and dried out and lacked taste. Thank goodness they gave us some sort of vinegar sauce to put on it to resurrect it a tiny bit. The ribs were also dry. There was no helping that. The mac & cheese seemed like they made a roux, let it sit there and dry out, then added mushy pasta to it. It also didn't even have a cheesy flavor. Got the green beans, definitely skip those. It's basically steamed green beans with paprika sprinkled on it. The cornbread was decent. I'll give them that. The one thing I will say that was good were the sweet potato fries. Somehow, those made it through OK. The food just lacks heart and soul, and doesn't really excite barbecue enthusiast. It's not even good for just regular food.
