    Outdoor seating

Wedding Anniversary breakfast with my bride at Alice's, I was drawn to this location because of the outdoor seating and the Scones are the menu. Hit and miss here this morning. Pros Parking in the street and metered parking across the street. Beautiful table on the sidewalk in the fresh air. Large menu for Breakfast and Lunch. The Blueberry Lemon scone was excellent although I couldn't taste the lemon. Chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon was a handsome plate. The potato egg and cheese sandwich was a generous sandwich although the potatoes needed seasoning. Bathrooms were clean. Cute old fashioned counter inside with a handful of tables. Cons: Service wasn't great, I was hoping the scone would have been served before the hot breakfast plate. A glass of water was requested during service and the request was met with a scoff. The eggs Benedict was hit and miss, eggs cooked perfectly while the sauce had zero flavor. The Home fries accompanied the dish were as bland as bland gets, boiled potatoes....no onions, no bell pepper, and they were not cooked well done as requested. I may go back for a breakfast sandwich and a scone but I am certainly in no rush. Fee added for credit card use.

We visited this kitchenette for the first time. We live in the local area and have never eaten here before. We went off season in October, so the parking first thing in the morning was very open and there was no issue there. However, please pay attention to the street signs because depending on where you park there could be "30 minute parking" in between certain times of the day. There was only one customer there when we walked in. Carlos was the hostess, server and cashier because it's not that busy first thing in the morning. We both ended up ordering the short stack with chocolate chips. There was also a little coffee station that a few people came in and got coffees to go, which is probably great for the locals . We had the coffee with cream and a glass of milk each with our meal. The coffee wasn't bad, had 2 cups each. The pancakes were good and bigger than I anticipated. They are not light and fluffy pancakes; they are a little more dense. Each plate came with a cup of butter and syrup. The syrup was cold and not heated up, which could have made a difference in the pancakes. Overall it was an ok breakfast. Nothing to really complain about or greatly rave about. Would I go there again?..?? I really don't think I would go out of my way to make my way there again. In the heart of the summer when that town is packed beyond belief, knowing what I know, there's other options to try other places to eat that I would choose over this kitchenette.

We went for breakfast, everything we had was very tasty. The service was excellent. I ordered the Jersey eggs Benedict. It was so good! Swapping the Canadian bacon for pork roll was just so tasty. I'd eat that again. The poached egg was perfectly cooked. It was runny, but not overly runny. My daughter loves the corned beef hash benny. She liked it so much she was walking around last night sad that she didn't have anymore to eat. My son got the hangover sandwich. It's made with bangers, egg, and potatoes, which he really enjoyed. The general consensus for the breakfast sandwiches was a thumbs up. Other ones ordered were the egg, cheese, and potato and the bacon, egg and cheese. My youngest ordered the PEC, it had so much tasty pork roll. The omelette my husband ordered was super cheesy and full of bangers. The egg itself was a little dry. My only complaint was the coffee wasn't great, it wasn't bad--just not great.

Mushroom, spinach, feta omelette, bacon, and grilled scone yummy!!!

Both Irish and awesome omelettes And don't forget to get grilled scones or muffins Alice and her staff are very attentive and caring that your coffee is always filled, and the ocean is across the street‍

The hub's Reuben sandwich.. bad pic but he gave it 2 thumbs up.

Great spot for breakfast and lunch! We're staying a few steps away so that also makes it perfect! Ordered egg sandwiches a few times to grab and go and the staff is very sweet. The husband ordered the Reuben and said it's super legit! My veggie burger was tasty and the kids enjoyed the kid menu. Phone ahead for quick pickup!

So excited to dig in I forgot to take a before picture . Eggs Benedict on avocado toast with bangers and amazing home fries!!!

Excellent local place with outstanding eggs Benedict on avocado toast and delicious homemade hollandaise sauce . The home fries where to die for and the imported bangers were amazing. The owner Alice is a very welcoming and attentive owner who greeted me immediately and let me sit wherever I like. The staff is very friendly and well trained. I really enjoyed my brunch and was delighted with the whole experience and how cozy and comfortable they made you feel.

Came here for breakfast on a rainy morning. We were seated right away. *Note: CASH ONLY, no atm* We ordered the ocean ave special which came with two pancakes, eggs, and a meat. I did the egg whites, sausage patties and added banana to my pancakes. Meal was good but the pancakes a little dry. We asked for a side of home fries but they were basically under cooked potatoes. Our waitress was very friendly and continued to come around with coffee. She made us aware of any up charges in advance which we appreciated (bananas to my pancakes $1.50) Boardwalk and things to do right in the area too!

Western omelet and croissant with sausage

Good food and nice atmosphere. Great spot for a rainy Sunday morning. The food was pretty good Alice and the waiters (most high-school people).

Came here twice for breakfast while we were on vacation in the area. The food is great, and has a nice homey/diner feel to it. My biggest beef with the place is they call Taylor Ham pork roll....everyone knows it is taylor ham. I got the taylor ham benny, they eggs perfectly pouched, with a nice hollandaise sauce on top. The next morning I get a taylor ham egg and cheese on a soft roll, and it was just as legit as something out of a bagel shop. Service is excellent, and they turn tables really fast! Would no doubt come back! CASH ONLY!!!!

Our servers were great, but I have to admit the food and drinks were just okay. I ordered a non-alcoholic frozen apple cider with vanilla cold foam, but the foam was nowhere to be found. The cider itself was good for what it was. The crab deviled eggs sounded amazing in theory but were disappointing, and the $25 price tag definitely added some regret. We also had oysters and the French onion soup, both of which hit the mark, along with a really tasty French onion rigatoni. The BD burger, however, was pretty average. I was excited for a birthday dessert, but was extremely let down to learn they only had two options left because they had run out of everything else... on a Friday at 7 PM. It seemed like they hadn't prepared for the weekend crowd at all. It was a disappointing way to end the meal and made my birthday memorable for the wrong reasons. Overall, we had a nice evening and I would return with adjusted food expectations.

Don't let the "basement bar" concept scare you away. The owner (not the original, but through generations, has kept the Speakeasy vibe going since the 1920s) runs the show. He's an older gentleman with smokey grey hair and bar tends, busses, and let's you finish every drop of alcohol you want- until 2AM! Then, bam, the light's brighten, and it's closing time! Don't worry, though, he blinks the lights around 1:45 for last call! He is also very personable, relaxed, and makes a mean old fashioned! Side cars, Manhattans, an old fashioned, etc. Single malt scotch. Whiskey, neat. You can also order beer or a vodka soda, or even a club soda. Prices are reasonable. There is ONE TV in the place. We ordered the fish tacos, birria tacos, and kettle-style potato chips--and every plate came out looking as good as it tasted. The fish tacos were beautifully assembled, piled high with crisp, fresh slaw that added the perfect crunch to the tender, flaky fish underneath. Light, clean, and balanced. The birria tacos were the star of the table. Rich, deeply seasoned meat tucked into perfectly griddled shells, served with a savory dipping broth that takes each bite to another level. Messy in the best way possible--and completely worth it. Even the kettle-style potato chips stood out. Thick-cut, golden, and topped with just the right amount of flavor to make them more than just a side--they held their own next to the tacos.
