    Sandwich no lettuce

Love the sign about not letting stupid people in the back. But beware. Check your order closely before you leave. I just ordered a hogie with lettuce, onions and extra tomato. Salt, pepper and vinegar. Took out the sandwich to eat it. NO LETTUCE OR ONION! Who makes that sort of mistake. No lettuce? Disappointed.

Anytime I am with my daughter near Asbury, this is our go to for breakfast. The classic egg and cheese on a hard roll is amazing!! Also, some of the smoothest coffee in town, seriously delicious.

Rude,Rude,Rude. When I first walk in I didn't know how I felt about a restaurant that sells food and deodorant and other things like that. Any ways they had rude service over priced food. Food was not worth the price . Food was okay but service was horrible. Employee had an attitude, no hello or goodbye. I will never come back, and I hope anyone reading this will never come. Pictures don't match on the website. No inside dining.

Dj's is a sweet little hidden away deli just off cookman. When you walk in it has a deli section and mini general store. They also have a fair sized dining / eating area on the other side of the store where we go to sit down to eat. We usually come here for breakfast and have always been delighted. Very sweet and funny staff. They are interactive warm and welcoming. You can also sit outside of the storefront which is nice. Always had a good meal here. Fruit Parfait was amazing!! It's worth checking out from the main stretch of town. Very reasonable meal. $10 person + :)

    Sweet beautiful coffee.

If you ever go to see wrestling at the convention center and get way more shimmed up then you planned, you're going to need to put something in your belly the next morning before the hour long drive home. We headed into the swanky side of Asbury Park to find coffee and food. We drove right by it and stopped a gay dude walking his dog and asked him where the spot was for breakfast in the AP. He pointed us down three doors to DJ's Delight. Now, I don't know if Asbury Park has a big gay community but this place had two big ole rainbow flags flying out front. If you're one of those types that is full of hate and can't appreciate two people finding each other to get through this whacky world together because they both have the same set up downstairs, then don't eat here. But once you're inside its not gay at all. You go into a deli area where deli type things are happening. The nice man with his dog was now inside and told us to walk through a door towards the back. We came upon a little grocery area. My man, we need coffee and grease. We don't need cleaning supplies and crackers. He kindly told us to go a little further til we emerged in a nice little dining room. From the looks of it, we thought we were about to eat a $22 breakfast. Then the lovely server brought us some menus and we saw it was priced nicely. Time to fix our hangovers. After about 2 seconds of reading the menu for the right weapon of choice to help us combat our poor decisions from the night before, we both noticed the Gut Buster. It's a bacon, egg, sausage and cheese. But whoa whoa whoa, that's not it. They throw on a friggin hash brown patty thing. Sweet mother of greasy hangover helper. This thing means business. It was the perfect combination of all our farm yard friends putting together their time and resources to help us in our time of need. Some even gave their lives. RIP and thank you. The home fries were also seasoned nicely and had the slightest kick to them. The only down side was the orange juice was freshly squeezed from a carton. I half thought this place might have had someone in the back squeezing oranges for my vitamin C pleasures. I think the 2 sandwiches, 2 coffees, 2 orders of hash browns, and a nice glass of OJ came to like $24. Hell, at that point it could have been &1,000,000 and I wouldn't have cared. On the way out I hit up a to go coffee for the ride. Careful!!! Those containers keep the coffee at about 600 degrees. I'm sure someone on here probably would have deducted a star point for that. Probably the person that said the owner wouldn't make the toast she ordered and threw her plate in the garbage and threatened to call the cops. I find that to be really far from the truth. And if it did happen, she probably left out the side of the story where she was acting a complete asshat of a fool over some toast. In conclusion, eat here!

Had a party of six from DC and California. The Californian tried the pork roll NJ experience for the first time. We were very impressed with the accommodating wait staff Morgan for getting us seated and served quickly. We were on a tight schedule and had to run to catch a flight. The food was excellent and freshly prepared the way you like it.

Being located right along the river in downtown Asbury provides a scenic backdrop should you be so lucky be seated at a window. My birthday was very fortunate having landed on restaurant week in Asbury, of which Moonstruck also participate. As part of restaurant week, we received three-courses for the same cost as entree ordinarily would on its own. I began with a cream of sweet potato soup that was thick, creamy, and delicious. This was followed by an everything crusted Salmon that I very much enjoyed. I find that while a lot of restaurants offer salmon, few prepare it as well as the offering Moonstruck has here, being perfectly cooked and well seasoned with everything seasoning. It was topped off with a pumpkin cheesecake that was just sweet enough to satisfy. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Moonstruck and will certainly be making a return visit when back in the area!

It's such a cute place, and the views of Wesley Lake are beautiful. We were lucky enough to sit outside on a beautiful night and had a delicious dinner. Everything was great, and our server was fantastic (I believe his name was Michael). We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

I know they have great pizza, but I wanted to find brunch in the area. We sat at the bar because there were plenty of seats. It looked like there were two bartenders working. The restaurant was only half full, but we thought we'd have good service at the bar. Our server seemed new; she didn't write down our order. She repeated it back incorrectly, still didn't write it down, and then entered it into the POS system. She kept asking if it was correct as she shouted it back to us. We thought this was weird because she could've just written it down. We ordered ricotta toast and a breakfast sandwich with bacon. It took 40 minutes for the food to come out and when it did they forgot the bacon. And my toast was cold. We asked the other bartender about the bacon and the long wait time, and he was very rude. We said, we ordered 40 minutes ago and no one came back to check on us. The girl who waited on us was standing behind the bar, staring at us, writing in a notebook and never acknowledged us after that. The other male bartender was rude when we asked how much longer our order would take he said "You did not order 40 minutes ago!!" I said, we did. Upon walking into the restaurant, we took several pictures and they were time stamped. The male bartender went over to the POS system to check our order. We stated that we did order bacon 40 minutes prior. It had never been put in so he added it to our order. We waited for the bacon; it didn't come out for several minutes. While we were waiting, I asked for the manager and the male bartender snapped back at me and said "Why?" He didn't want to get her, and I insisted I speak to her because I wanted to let someone about this experience. He walked away from the bar, threw his hands up and was yelling. After that he didn't speak to us either. I find it shocking that there are people like this who don't care about food, service or helping customers at all. I wouldn't go back here because it was very strange, and I've never had an experience with two servers who were so rude and aloof.

The building is in the National Historic Registry. (Cool Ambiance) This Ale House is humongous with at least two to three bars. The interior was really colorful with upbeat wall to wall murals. In addition, you'll see some cool stuff like an old-fashioned telephone booth and signage. For fun, there's a small arcade area with timed basketball and air hockey in one area of the ale house. (Service & Food) Natasha was our wonderful and caring server. A bottle of cold water and glasses w/ice were brought to the table. We ordered soft drinks to start out. The food didn't take too long to come out and the portions were good but the taste was just okay. We did experience a couple missing items (side of avocado and chimichurri) and brought this to the server's attention. For the chimichurri, we were told that it didn't come with the steak because they didn't have it anymore so they didn't include it in our meal. We should have been told this before the food came out or even right after it was set on the table. We were offered a replacement sauce (pico de gallo) just to find out that it cost extra and had to explain that it should be free as a replacement to the chimichurri. The manager was able to comp the pico and apologized. At the end of the meal, I was also surprised to not receive any acknowledgement that I was celebrating my birthday (which I marked on the reservation). Once I received the receipt, I noticed that we were also charged extra for the missing side of avocado and an extra sauce. This was not disclosed to us prior. I can see why this place would be popular due to the atmosphere but the food and service here would not have me coming back.

I did tell her I cant eat spicy stuff although I enjoy lightly spicy stuff. Drinks: I tried the Lebanese red wine. Very nice medium body. My husband tried the old fashioned which he said were good. Starters: we had the salatim which is 6 different dips and two piping hot large pita breads. I liked 4 out of 6 dips while hubby liked 5 out of 6. We both loved the hummus, salad, lima bean, and eggplant ones. This kind of eating is always fun. The discovery! STAR: The star is the halloumi. Fried cheese with lightly sweet crispy crust honeyed and topped with a light refreshing salad and pomenegrate seeds. Our server charmingly apologized she forgot to warn me about the codfish chili being potentially hot but I ended up trying and enjoying it, although I felt the fish was slightly overcooked. Not rubbery but a little too crusty and not flaky enough. I did not complain though because her dessert recommendation for malabi, a custard with oat crisps, was lovely. Nice to share with hubby and cap off the night. Temperature control: we sat somewhat near the front so were hit with cold air anytime someone entered. My husband is recovering from back surgery so walking was difficult for him. I appreciate he planned such a nice outing for us despite his walking challenges.
