These are 2 diff yelp reviews originally but I never posted the first one and now you get to see both! Both are still pretty good but the menu doesn't really align with what's delivered. This is good but I would NOT add this to the menu under a "cheesesteak" thank god I added lettuce and mayo or this would've just been depressing. This place was *chef's kiss* we ordered a #1, half, and a Pig Pen on rye. The #1 was large for a half and had decent amount of meat. The pig pen was sooo good. The bread was soft and it had lots of meat and just the right amount of dressing and coleslaw. There are some tables outside to sit and a walk up window you can order from. I would definitely come here again and if your a Grateful Dead fan it's pretty groovy too! read more

I was tired of the typical wraps and sandwiches from delis and pizzerias. Grateful Deli offers creative yet delicious sandwiches. I've personally had the bertha, bobby bbq, the cassidy, and the little red rooster, all equally delicious. I like that they give you the option to have it on bread, a wrap, or as a salad for the days you want to be healthy. The over light eggs & sausage patties were perfectly cooked. The menu offers everything you like for early meals. The prices are average for the area and service was very accommodating. Had lunch today at the Grateful Deli with a friend. It's a cute little spot right on the main street of tiny Loch Arbor. I like the decor in the place, very bright & upbeat. The staff was very friendly & pleasant. Looks like a very local kind of place. They had a great selection of meals & I eventually chose a chicken pesto wrap. It came with a small side of macaroni salad & a pickle. Although you order at the counter they deliver the food to your table. The food was definitely fresh, much appreciated. I thought it took a bit longer than I expected to come out considering it was a cold wrap & there were very few people in the place, but I was not in a hurry. The only problem I found was that my wrap was a bit dry. A little mayo or something would have gone a long way. Other than that it was tasty & prices were very reasonable. As much as I enjoyed my food I did note an unpleasant odor in the place as soon as I had entered. I couldn't place it, but it definitely was something I would have preferred not having to smell when I ate. It did not dissipate. Overall I enjoyed myself & would go back, however I would hope the odor would be gone. read more

Ordered lunch for pickup, when I walked in no one was wearing a mask and they certainly didn't rush to cover up. As a local dead head I've loved this place for years, the food is 10/10 but this is my first time coming during the pandemic, and I didn't feel comfortable eating my lunch based on what I saw when I walked in. I work food service too and understand the masks suck but all 3 people in their not wearing masks made me feel very unsafe. I'm sure the sandwich would've been great, but I passed and gave it to the coworker i was relieving at work, who felt comfortable eating it. read more

We went here today and received rude service. When we asked what dressings they had, we got a sarcastic, rude mark back with no answer. We decided to get two salads which were half filled in our to go containers. The salad was good... but I had to fill it up when I got home with lettuce of my own because it was not nearly enough. (Eye roll) pork roll - tastes the same anywhere you go really lol... Herrs chips, stoked for the hemp drinks they had, disappointed at their trash taste... other drinks, pretty big selection of food. I ordered breakfast. Pork roll egg and cheese on a roll and pancakes. The eggs weren't cooked. I basically has a snotty egg sandwich I would think if you wanted runny under cooked eggs you would have to specify that. The pancakes are super heavy, your a champ if you can eat more than half of one. Also the delivery guy asked me how much change I want back from the 20 I paid with, you should give me my change and then I tip. I feel like that's asking for a tip. I won't order again. read more

I live near this place and tried it out for the first time. As a DeadHead, I am attracted to most things DEAD, so it was time to give this place a go. My wife ordered the St. Stephen and I had the Vegetarian Scarlet Begonias. Both are wraps. Nothing special, but very fresh. We enjoyed the food. I would rank it as not razzle dazzle, but definitely delicious and fresh. You cannot go wrong with that. However, I found that the girl at the register wasn't too friendly and there was not much DEAD in the place besides a few images and sandwich names. The vibe was dampened by an old man with a toupee who wouldnt look me in the eye. I assume he works there. Other than that, I give it four stars in terms of the freshness of the sandwiches. Ok it takes a lot for me to be motivated to write a review but after noshing breakfast items from here for the last few years, I finally stepped it up to a sub! This sub is what sealed the deal for me to give props to the grateful deli. My sub is right on point with Nino Jrs and Franks Deli. Each have their own nuances. The Grateful Deli sub is finely crafted with layers of deli delish. They don't skimp on the meat ! Ever get a sub from your local Italian pizza joint and they give you one slice of ham ? How lame ! What do they think because they fold it over it makes 2 slices ! Grateful Deli gives you a nice mouthful of top shelf ham, salami and provolone topped off by fresh shredded lettuce, healthy fresh tomatoes and onion slices. What else makes a sub ? That's right the bread ! Grateful deli sub rolls are perfect crusty and firm on the outside and a nice fresh cushy consistency on the insides which compliments the aforementioned! It's not quite Franks deli sub roll but that's what makes Franks Franks cause they got the best damn wide big poppa seeded sub rolls ! And Nino Jrs has there delish Brooklyn brick baked sub rolls. Each place has their own little nuance which make them my top sub picks and now enter the Grateful Deli for caring to give the customer a nice sangwhich! Plenty of meats, nice fresh toppers and good bread. Hard to find around here with the exception of, you guessed it Franks and Nino Jrs. Grateful Deli makes me recall my first sub love Tasty Sub shop. I think they were in the same spot ! So Thank you Grateful deli for not only making a kick ass pork roll egg and cheese for my breakfast munchies and for making such family kid faves as your tasty chicken fingers for my kids who happen to be chicken finger connoisseurs but for now making a kick ass sub! I had the breakfast burrito with pork roll minus the onions. My boyfriend had the PEC with SPK and added the home fries to the sandwich as well. Both were absolutely incredible. The burrito was so flavorful and came with salsa and sour cream on the side. A lot of times with burritos you lose flavors but you could taste everything in their breakfast burrito. The PEC was the perfect size, and perfect thickness of pork roll - not thin like salami but not too thick that the salt was overpowering. Overall, great place. My boyfriend and I order from here atleast 3 times a week, whether we do delivery or pick it up ourselves. It's always consistent and the staff is extremely friendly! We recommend everything especially the cilantro pesto chicken over salad, which is amazing and packed with flavor. Their turkey burger is also delicious, served with the best fries around!
