The amount of items on the menu was a lot. Like we were overwhelmed and we asked for recommendations but didn't get them. The server has a bit of an attitude maybe it was jersey way, but she came back multiple times. And seemed annoyed for it but whatever the food was okay. I've been wanting to give this place a try. We've tried other locations and liked it and wanted to give this place a try, as well. We were immediately seated after arriving. The restaurant is large, with white walls that are adorned with framed pictures and knickknacks, multiple lamps hanging from the central ceiling, and tables everywhere. Plush booths that are big enough to fit 4 people line the walls and on the ground, a mosaic-like design can be seen under the 6-person tables. We ordered the following: Daughter had the Eggcado Delight, which has eight grain toast with smashed avocado, two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and chopped bacon bits. It's also served with a small side of home fries. This is daughter's usual go to breakfast with avocado. She said that this was pretty good and tasty. Next Hubs had the Vegetarian Omelette, which has 4 large eggs, mushrooms, onions, pepper and tomatoes. He also got wheat toast. Hubs disputed the size of the 4 large eggs to me. LOL. He said that the meal was ok but could be fluffier. The potatoes were ok but it could use a few onions. His toast was pretty good. Lastly, I had the Waffles and bananas and it was pretty good. Service was friendly and quick. We were glad that we got to try this place and will definitely return in the future to try other items on the menu. read more

Nice breakfast with the family. Amy's is extremely clean and everyone is friendly. The restaurant was recently renovated and it looks great. The food is terrific and the portions are large. I find the prices on the higher side, $15 for a breakfast sandwich is on the steep side even for Long Branch. I love that you can order breakfast or lunch at anytime. Turkey club was great, chicken and waffles were very good according to the diner and the breakfast waffles and French toast are fresh and imaginative with their toppings. I will be back. read more

Side note: If you sit at a booth and aren't against the wall, you may be beaten up by the movement of the people behind you. I have really enjoyed visiting Amy's over the years. I'm not sold on the revamp of the inside but that's an aesthetic opinion. The food sizes have gotten smaller but that's a sign of the times. Even if the portions are smaller the food is still delicious. I have tried a lot on the menu over the years and I have never been disappointed. The only thing I don't like and will never order again is a milkshake. I normally get chocolate shakes whenever I go, but here it just tastes like chocolate milk. Maybe it needs more ice cream? The service is hit or miss depending on which server you get. If you don't mind waiting a bit for napkins, water, etc...you will be fine. Though a few are absent minded, no one has ever been rude. They close at 2 pm and you pay at the front desk. On the weekends it gets packed, so plan accordingly. Always say yes to the home fries. read more

That horrible old timey elevator music you have playing all the time makes the experience of sitting there pretty painful . All over us *needing* to ask for straws and then demanding us to say please. Most restaurants & diners I've been to would just give straws for the amount of drinks ordered. This waiter assumed I would drink from the rim of cups which would lead me to be getting whipped cream all over my nose.
