Newer place in town taking over for the acropolis diner. I liked the vibe in here. It is affordable homemade breakfast classics. I tried the pancakes and they were spot on. The turkey club was done right. The onion rings also hit. The omelettes were hefty and good. They have a good amount of seating so you should find a spot and they have a parking lot. Check it out.

Robin's Nest recently opened in the space where Acropolis used to be, and I tried it today for the first time. The owner has put a lot of work into cleaning the place up and it is very cute, both inside and out! Our waitress, Millie, used to work at Acropolis and she is fantastic. My friend has been there a couple times since it opened and Millie greeted her immediately by name with a cup of coffee made just how she likes it. So nice and always quick to respond and make sure all is good. I had the veggie omelet with whole wheat toast and coffee, and it hit the spot. The omelet was cooked perfectly with lots of vegetables and the coffee was nice and warm. I also liked the homefries that were served with it. Nothing fancy here, but a great local spot with good food and good prices.

Best breakfast in the area, plenty of options and the kids plate was awesome. Love the atmosphere, old style diner vibe.

Today I went to grab a quick coffee on my way to the beach, I was directed to head straight to the coffee bar where I was able to order, pay, and get on my way in a matter of minutes! When I walked into the restaurant, there were 6 people standing ahead of us at the hostess stand. Tables were emptying out but no one even acknowledged our existence for - no exaggeration- 15 minutes. We made conversation with the people around us that it was almost comical that no one even said they'd be with us in a moment. It was odd and we almost left and walked to The Buttered Biscuit down the street, but we stuck it out. Once we were seated we were given a tiny placard to scan the menu with our phones. Service after being seated was surprisingly consistent after our long wait time to be seated with no acknowledgment from staff. I have a gluten allergy and the online menu did not have specific information showing what was GF or GFA. When I asked the sever about it she rattled off some GF options but of course I couldn't remember all of them, having them marked on the menu would be so helpful. I ordered the Birria Omelette but chose to have the tortilla strips on the side since they were in a shared fryer. The dressing for the side salad was light and tangy. The omelette was supposed to be French style but wasn't creamy in the middle. Birria meat was tender and kind of overwhelmed the overall taste of the omelette. I also had an iced decaf mocha latte and it was good, not too sweet and pretty much coffee flavored chocolate milk. My dining companion had the classic French toast, which looked delicious and he really enjoyed it but I didn't taste it because "gluten." Ambiance is really nice, tables are well spaced and the restaurant is well decorated. Not sure if I'll be back but glad I tried it!

The hotel is beautiful and it felt like every single piece of furniture and decorations were chosen intentionally. Perhaps the best part of our stay was the phenomenal, friendly and attentive service from manager Emily. Truly a gem of a person, and made sure everything we needed was available. Would also like to highlight that Emily reached out even before our stay begun to ask if we needed anything upon arrival or had any questions. All requests were met and Emily was prompt to answer all questions. I would highly recommend The James Bradley to anyone thinking of visiting. If you're looking for a quick vacation out of this city, this is the place, so easy to get to, the town has wonderful restaurants/bars and the beach was beautiful (even if it was too cold to hang out). Can't wait to find a reason to return.

I'm all for minimalism but there needs to be functionality behind it. As for breakfast; more gluten free options please! And the soft boiled eggs we chose were either cooked too hard or way undercooked. The yogurt and fruit was delicious! Our server was great.

I ordered a Shrimp Po' Boy and it was by far the best Po'Boy I have had outside of New Orleans, and might have even been better than the one I had there too. My daughter ordered the Fish and Chips, which she loved despite it being her first time trying it. The interior has that "hole in the wall" vibe with just a few tables and a few stools at the counter. The food is being made just feet away from wear you're sitting and it creates a homey vibe. The locals seem to love the place as several stopped in to either eat or chat with the two women working. I do believe they have outdoor seating at picnic tables. Overall, this place is an absolute gem and i'll definitely be back when we return to Belmar, NJ.

It's cash only or Venmo, which I find its pretty normal for smaller local spots. The thing about this location was that it reminded me of Maine, the walls are painted this beautifully brilliant blue with nautical inspired decor. My favorite was the fishies above a fishing boat, which I had to take a snap of. I ordered 3 eggs over medium, with rye, and a side of bacon. The eggs were still a bit too runny, but its a standard breakfast. I want to go back and to sit there because the staff were super nice. If I lived closer then I'd prolly be here all the time. I saw a reviewer complain about the sign showing open, but they weren't. Honestly businesses making that mistake all the time, but to point it out is just whatever. Highly recommend stopping by here early because I have a feeling they're super busy with the locals.
