Summary: Down to earth, adorable little diner with pretty decent food and quick service. I came for a casual meal with my family and was delighted by the speed of the service and the overall great time spent there. The food is pretty standard for diner food, but I do think its the best diner around bcuz I never eat something and say it was bad. I have been to plenty of diners with watery eggs and soggy bread and this place would never do that. There is obviously a lot of care put into every customers experience and thats why this place is such a community staple. Love love love going here

Came upon this spot after visiting the state park near by. Ample parking adjacent to the restaurant. When we walked in there was a bit of wait. Once seated the menu had breakfast and lunch, this place doesn't do dinner they close at 2pm every day. Went off Yelp reviews and ordered the tuna club. Sandwich and coleslaw were really good and fresh. My friends had the Buffalo wrap with sweet potato fries and the pasta fagioli soup. Both said there food was great. If in the area and want a quick bite to eat, this is your spot.

Locals, locals and myself graced this eatery on Main in Farmingdale. Nice, for breakfast and lunch. No dinners; they close at 3pm. The staff is very friendly, the parking is ample, and the food I had was decent. Kathy, my server, was a sweetheart. I ordered a cheesesteak and a coffee. No dessert. This is a no frills place, a diner of sorts. And the prices are ridiculously low. Three and one half stars.

Burger platter with a side of their crispy and delicious onion rings. My son had bacon omelette for lunch.

Small and cozy place. Friendly staff. Food is very good. Price is still reasonable. Quick service. I highly recommend.

If you drive through the wooded forest and found yourself on the main street of Farmingdale, you…read morewill find a Mexican restaurant that is a small town staple. Website: 8/10 It was easy to navigate within the vibrantly colored site. It provides an abundance of information in terms of the business itself, the menu items, the table reservations, the interactive Google map section, and the mobile app QR code. I did come across typos, defunct images, and I admit I questioned the authenticity of the testimonials. Brand: 8/10 Taco House and Grill's brand has a standard orange, black, and white color scheme, giving off the vibrant Mexican aesthetic, along with the minimalist symbol of the taco-and-knife. The interior of the establishment manages to evoke a warm, cozy environment with its plants and its black painted tables keeping up with the color scheme. Concerning the logo, it was barely discernible on the website icon with so much detail on it. I could barely see it on the top bar of my screen. Ambiance: 10/10 The wood tables had enough space for six customers throughout the establishment, with a few outside on the porch. While we became the earliest customers with no one reserving a seat inside yet, I can still clearly see how the ambiance would not be disruptive. If it would get disruptive, I can see how reservations can be made either in front of the counter or outside. The establishment had plenty of space. Service: 10/10 We had no issues with the staff, since we managed to receive our orders with no problems. Wait Time: 10/10 Although we came a couple minutes early, we managed to walk inside and wait while reading the menu. Our orders also came on time. No interruptions occurred as we talked and as I wrote. Food: 10/10 I ordered the ham, egg, and cheese burrito with sides of tortilla chips, green salsa, and an orangeade. The breakfast burrito was one of the best breakfast plates I ever ate. It had a warmness both in taste and temperature, for every smooth and inviting taste complemented the soft yet sturdy burrito wrap. It was further complemented by the hot sauce and the poppy seeds, giving the wrap its warm, inviting flavor. Their site argued that their food has "an explosion of taste of culture"--and I could not agree more. Worth The Money?: 10/10 Aesthetics-wise, Taco House and Grill could improve, while substance-wise, it helped me restore faith in my community. The owners care about the well-cleaned establishment and its unique place in a small town. I love spicy food and Taco House and Grill definitely delivered well on its menu items. The establishment relies on locally sourced ingredients and authentic generational recipes, which I always support. Local businesses should always source locally, because the money circulates throughout the community; and authentic recipes sets this business apart from larger chains like Chipotle. In terms of metaphorical price, such a business model is priceless, and in physical price, I would say that the establishment itself is worth it. Pertaining to the website, the accolades such as its awards and 5-star reviews would help solidify its ethos if the site specified them or had links leading to the specific awards and reviews worth noting. I believe them when they say they locally source their ingredients, and I would like for them to list the local farms they source from. Rating: 5/5 Stars To say I have hope for Taco House and Grill would be an understatement. I give this establishment an excellent rating and hope that it will continue to exist in Farmingdale. Recommend To... Anyone who lives along the main street of Farmingdale who wants to try authentic Mexican food. Since I overheard the owners speak Spanish, I could also recommend this establishment to anyone trying to practice speaking Spanish. Due to the cozy interior, I would highly recommend catering Taco House and Grill during the autumn and winter seasons.

The location is a little further than we would normally travel, but it was worth it. I loved all the farm to table foods they have. They even nicely promote all the partners they use right on the wall of the restaurant, so you know where all your food comes from. Everyone loved their meals! I had the Thai chicken sandwich and it was so flavorful and delicious. It came with a side and I picked baked sweet potato wedges that were really good and so memorable that a week later I am still thinking about them. Other dishes ordered were the chicken salad and strawberry salad which my friends both enjoyed. Our server was very good and didn't rush us as we were just chatting up a storm. The restaurant suggests reservations which are a good idea, especially for dinner. I will definitely be back and can't wait to put Harvest on my restaurant rotation. Sorry no photos this time... the food was just so good and we were hungry!

Tucked away in a small town, you will find a cozy nook to discover American cuisine…read more Brand: 5/5 Harvest is a small restaurant in Farmingdale specializing in New American cuisine. The entrance stands out in this borough, despite its small size. I do think that sign with the wooden background reflected the cozy interior quite well with a homey style. The country décor on the walls also enhances the aesthetics. Website: 5/5 It wastes no time, for it immediately opens you to the menu where most of the items have their own images. I appreciated the minimalistic design where the understandable font provides you with the information. The basic description of the establishment does say that they rely on locally sourced ingredients. Ambiance: 5/5 Normally, dark interiors would not necessarily work for eateries unless they achieve a cozy vibe; which is what Harvest did perfectly. The wooden walls provide a sense of comfort underneath lights dim enough to not offend the eyes but bright enough to see. Despite the cramped space, I did think that the interior fitted the ambiance, along with the smooth country music playing over the radio. Service: 5/5 The staff was quite jovial and patiently explained a part of the menu. We had no issues with our orders. Wait Time: 5/5 I did wait awhile for the meals, though we managed to get our orders without any interruptions. Food: 4/5 I ordered the Grilled Chicken Thai Sandwich with no additional sides, with a free, complementary glass of water. It has ciabatta beard containing grilled chicken, spinach, cucumbers, and Thai sauce. I do not know if the signature sauce is authentically Thai, but I will say that I could barely tolerate the pungent taste and smell. I cannot say whether it is the feature. Every other part, such as the spinach and the cucumbers, definitely complemented the grilled chicken with a juicy taste. The ciabatta bread buns managed to hold their form, even as the contents started to fall off. Worth The Money?: 2/5 I will say that Harvest brand has as much of a highfalutin status as its prices. While the restaurant reflects the New American cuisine, it does not come off as condescending. Nevertheless, I still thought that the limited menu items just do not help with the prices. For the website, I would suggest a list of all the farms and independent distributors that Harvest relies on for ingredients, and to include a backstory about how Harvest began and where the name came from. I find local-sourcing incredibly important and commend Harvest for incorporating this into their business model. Concerning the food, I will say that the Grilled Chicken Thai sandwich did have suffice within the ambiance. The wait time it took to make the meal was appropriate enough. I will say that the wait time did feel long within the establishment, especially when no one else was around. Nevertheless, the service did make the food worth the wait and the ambiance worth immersing in. With all of this being said, would I say that the overall price would bring me back? Not really. Even the complementary water could not win me over when compared to the prices. Prestigious New American eateries tend to have a focus on specific consumer bases, and I am just not one of them. I do not score low on this part out of spite, rather based on my current station and many other people. I did tip the staff and I did have enough satisfaction with the meal. Rating: 4/5 Stars I do not know how Harvest would carry itself into the future, though I can see how it would suffice as a New American restaurant. Recommend To... Anyone with enough disposable income looking for a quiet restaurant.

Brand: 5/5 Tenth and Willow is an Italian-themed deli located in Colts Neck Plaza in Farmingdale. The logo has the Italian flag emblazoned in the background. The solid aesthetics on the website of the sparkles and shining rays perfectly represent the brand. When it comes to the interior, I will say that they deliver on all they promise, for you will find many Italian food and ingredients throughout the establishment. Website: 5/5 It brings you immediately to an image of a sandwich, which makes a good first impression on anyone coming to the site. Scrolling down, you encounter the backstory and the menu with many selections from beverages to wraps to heroes. You will find at the bottom a regularly updated blog section filled with fun facts of Tenth and Willow. Wait Time: 5/5 I experienced no delay or disruptions during the time I waited for my order. Ambiance: 4/5 The establishment housed plenty of Manhattan Specials of varying flavors throughout the aisles. You will also find plenty of cookies and treats upon racks, including meats and cheese hidden behind large glass counters. The aisles and the space between them and the deli did feel cramped with no tables or seats available. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Maple Ham Hero, which considers maple ham, fontana cheese, lettuce, tomato, and balsamic glaze. The maple ham had a sweet taste, as expected, which complements well with the sharp fontana cheese and the lettuce. The balsamic glaze had its own strong taste. The bread held well and had a decent amount of crunch, without becoming stale. Everything in the hero stayed in place while it also had a rich, thick taste. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to get my order without any issues. Worth The Money?: 4/5 The selection of meals, such as heroes, definitely reflect the brand of Tenth and Willow as an Italian market-and-deli. While I did not have a problem waiting, it did feel cumbersome in a cramped area for my order. Nevertheless, the ambiance of exploring around the establishment did not have an issue with me, especially as I got to see the delicacies from the cookies to the marzipan. As for the Maple Ham Hero, the appropriate wait time matched the quality of the food. The organization of the food shows that the staff care about their ingredients. They make it clear on their website that most of their partners provided locally sourced ingredients. If that is true, then this establishment deserves more attention, and I can see how Italian restaurants would rely on this deli for their ingredients. While the website does not scroll down with silky speed, it does provide a sense of welcoming ambiance with its deep, green color. I will say ultimately that the price of the Maple Ham Hero and the experience going to Tenth and Willow was worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I have hope that Tenth and Willow will continue to have relevance in Farmingdale, and among those who prioritize Italian cuisine and ingredients. Recommend To... Anyone just starting an Italian restaurant and is looking for key ingredients, since you would be supporting local producers while propping up your local business, thus creating a network of local businesses that help the community through the local multiplier effect. I also recommend to anyone looking to add more to their Italian-inspired cuisine and need suggestions about which meats, cheese, or spices to use. If you like Manhattan Special, then I would also recommend this establishment to you.
