From tuliptreecafe.com website. Clearly states "Open Monday 10-3. Small paper schedule on front door had same hours listed.

About fourth time to visit. Been here before for lunch. Two of us came on a weekday around 12:30 for lunch. It's a bit of a ride but we figured see what's cooking? Because it's a ride I checked their website before leaving to ensure they'd be open. Well, as others have complained, they weren't answering the door or the phone. I could see them inside along with at least one or two people in the dining room. The sign on the door with printed schedule clearly indicated they should be open for business. Ok, maybe they didn't bother to update their schedules with changes (which by itself shows a gross lack of customer service); but to not answer the door when you can see us and we see you is downright rude and callous. This is in a rural part of the county which is all the more annoying about them. I'll continue to shop the nursery and gift shop which are very friendly and generous, but not the Tulip.

Beautiful timber framed dining area with a warm atmosphere. It's my first time here today I will definitely be coming back. Waitress was attentive and kind. Food was delicious. Got the lentil soup and the shrimp po'boy, both specials and both amazing. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

I had a wonderful lunch for Mother's Day with 10 people. The atmosphere was so beautiful and quaint. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. And the staff was very sweet and friendly. I couldn't recommended this place more!

Cute cafe. Small but inviting. Love that it's by Calgo farms. I walked in and it took a bit long to be greeted. I have heard the owner is very nice and pleasant to talk too but I guess today was an off day for her. The vegetable sandwich on ciabatta bread was extremely satisfying. Bread was so fresh. The vegetables with balsamic hit the spot. I would have liked a bit more vegetables and crunch. I had coleslaw with my sandwich. Tasted like it could be roasted pepper based but not sure. It was just ok for me. Last bite had a sizable peppercorn that lingered in mouth for awhile after which I wasn't happy about because the sandwich was so tasty. I would go back and try the chicken salad or grilled cheese sandwich next time or maybe treat my kids to breakfast there.

The ambiance is nice, but I thought the portions were small and the prices high. The service was good.

I ordered a Shrimp Po' Boy and it was by far the best Po'Boy I have had outside of New Orleans, and might have even been better than the one I had there too. My daughter ordered the Fish and Chips, which she loved despite it being her first time trying it. The interior has that "hole in the wall" vibe with just a few tables and a few stools at the counter. The food is being made just feet away from wear you're sitting and it creates a homey vibe. The locals seem to love the place as several stopped in to either eat or chat with the two women working. I do believe they have outdoor seating at picnic tables. Overall, this place is an absolute gem and i'll definitely be back when we return to Belmar, NJ.

It's cash only or Venmo, which I find its pretty normal for smaller local spots. The thing about this location was that it reminded me of Maine, the walls are painted this beautifully brilliant blue with nautical inspired decor. My favorite was the fishies above a fishing boat, which I had to take a snap of. I ordered 3 eggs over medium, with rye, and a side of bacon. The eggs were still a bit too runny, but its a standard breakfast. I want to go back and to sit there because the staff were super nice. If I lived closer then I'd prolly be here all the time. I saw a reviewer complain about the sign showing open, but they weren't. Honestly businesses making that mistake all the time, but to point it out is just whatever. Highly recommend stopping by here early because I have a feeling they're super busy with the locals.

This diner is a pleasant sight--if you can find it. Brand…read more6/10 This restaurant cushions itself between a laundromat and a Shop n Bag, which fits if the aesthetic is a cushy nook kept secret from the imposing roads. It uses what little space it has to its advantage, which I will give credit to. The bland branding does not help its case, however, whether on the business or the signage just clinging to the apartment complex in front of it. The font is plainly standard and the mascot is a rooster and a coffee cup with simple designs. Of course, the small town charm of the flower pots will greet you on the way inside. Inside, you will find many red-white-and-blue Americana aesthetics throughout the walls, ranging from the statuettes of roosters and a gnome, and twinkly lights. Environment 6/10 Farmingdale's Main Street tends to get pretty loud with semi-hauls constantly passing throughout it, so I was shocked to find that they did not become a complete nuisance to the dining experience. I managed to finish my time there before the afternoon rush flooded the establishment. However, the noise can be cumbersome at times within this small space. Nonetheless, the tables were well-spaced. Since we managed to get a table near the window, we got a view of the parking lot outside along with the other buildings and Main Street. Any trees or green islands you typically see in parking lots would have bumped the score up, but there were none. Stains did percolate the floor, but they did not become an easily noticeable problem. Staff 9/10 The staff were well-accommodating. Of course, I did not realize we had to pay our orders at the counter as opposed to waiting like typical diners. Nonetheless, it wasn't too much of a problem. Waiting Period 10/10 I did not have to worry about waiting for my order, since it came quickly. I could easily fill in my waiting time with reading, writing, or updating myself on my messages. Food 10/10 The cheap prices might entice you, but the real question is: Are they worth their price? I ordered the breakfast hoagie. If every diner had a signature dish, then the Farmingdale Breakfast Club has the breakfast hoagie. I would have gotten this for $19.99 alone anywhere else, but here it was much cheaper. Without getting into too much Proustian detail, the breakfast meats packed within this sliced sandwich perfectly exemplifies the breakfast diner experience. From the eggs to the cheese to the ham to the sausage to the potatoes--and a side of ketchup--so many ingredients come together within a well-cooked, flavor-jammed experience within bread that has the right amounts of fluff, sturdiness, and freshness. The heat, crispness, and ketchup moisture culminate to give the food score a high rating. Comes Together Well? 8/10 Everything did come together well in this small town diner. The quaintness of the interior aesthetics and the wholesomeness of the food can inspire many people to come there, whether within Farmingdale itself or without. With the exception of updating the logo and signage, there is nothing more I can really suggest. Overall Rating 8/10 Taking into account the aesthetics to the space to the food itself, I will give this diner a pretty good rating. The Farmingdale Breakfast Club has developed its own niche as a unique little diner within a limited amount of space, accessible by many parking lots it shares with the laundromat and the grocery store. This little diner holds out the hope that even the smallest spaces could provide a buffer zone from the chaos of modern life and macroeconomics. It left me convinced that every diner needs to have a diner gnome. Recommend To... If you are on some small town adventure and are looking for diamonds in the rough, then I would recommend this restaurant. If noise is an issue, then I would only recommend the Breakfast Club if you intend to bring someone else along to chat with to block out the noise. If you are looking for that small place to eat that is tucked away--as though meant to keep secret--then I would recommend it.

The food: okay, this is what elevated diner food should taste like! Wagyu burger? A St Patty Irish multicourse meal? Cakes that have been served as some of the finest weddings in NYC? And the corned beef and hash potatoes?!?!? Talking with the owner regarding some of the upcoming specials she had planned and I was literally salivating even though I was so stuffed that I had to loosen the belt. This place is an hour away, but I'm gonna end up being a regular here, lol. Staff: absolutely amazing! I can literally talking to the chef/baker for hours. They are literally some of the nicest people I have met and you can tell it wasn't just being nice because I have to be, it was genuine! Location: quaint and cozy. Even though they been only open for a couple of years, there's history that adorns the walls from her previous days. Overall: I'm definitely coming back. Maybe even go back tomorrow. I'm officially hooked on the Local Diner & Bakery.

YES I am giving 5-stars because it was worth every penny spent…read more I had decided late Saturday night I wanted to go to brunch, but I didn't want to travel far and I didn't want to spend a fortune on items I didn't want to eat, I wanted a simply, tasty brunch/breakfast. So "Our House" !! Close to home, Mini-Me goes there for karaoke night and she enjoys the food there. Came here last Sunday 2/1/26 - Saturday night I made the reservations online- and Sunday we went on over- we found parking up front, even with the snow piled a mile high. Omelet station was doing a brisk business and although I am not much of an omelet person, I ordered mine, and let me say--theirs is really good! I also went up twice for the roast beef- the nice thing is, they don't cook a huge roast, it's medium size and seasoned and cooked perfectly, not a lot of fat, but the seasoning was fantastic. Chicken with lemon sauce, the pork in a really nice sauce, the house potatoes (really liked these- peel and eat shrimp were large and plentiful. Salads, sausage and bacon, sausage and peppers, and the desserts were so tasty. But lets talk about the waffles here- Belgium waffles , thick, fluffy and I absolutely enjoyed them, in fact I had two- I KNOW!! it was carbs, but who is counting carbs when it comes to a Sunday brunch?! I usually like Bloody Mary's at "Brunch Time", but this time, it was the mimosas calling my name- cool and refreshing and a perfect ratio of OJ and Prosecco. Mini-Me ordered a large apple juice to go with her mimosa's, lol. Coffee was hot and our cups were never empty. Serving staff was working hard, clearing tables keeping the patrons coffee cups filled and even taking orders for the bar service, I am not sure if patrons ordered from the regular menu, but it was busy!!! I have to say, there is something to be said about both a huge buffet and a buffet that caters to the basics of a good brunch- they do not over extend the items, I think that is were some places go wrong. They do 1/2 pans for the buffet so everything is fresh, and replenished quickly, nothing sits for long or is empty. The gentleman working the omelet /carving station was so friendly and nice, I couldn't help but smile each time I went up for "2nds". Anyway for $19.99pp plus tax and tip, it is definitely a winner in my book and a once a month breakfast on my calendar. When I asked about the Thanksgiving Brunch from people I know- Our House was given high praises so, my husband said I don't have to cook this year, we are going to OUR HOUSE!!!! and I couldn't be happier!
