This is one of my favorite places in Shrewsbury to eat, and that's a hard decision lots of great places in the area. I would give it a five for the food but our service was horrible. Waitress name was Jen let's start we ordered lental soup and my son asked for it to come with his Joey sandwich. The waitress came out with one sandwich and the soups my sandwich wasn't even hot like it was sitting and they just opened but still incredibly good with the great semolina bread ... But my son and husband didn't get there sandwiches to much much later that they wanted to dip the sandwich in the soup. Then in the middle of eating the bus boy takes all our silverware leaving us nothing to eat our salads with smh. While we ate they kept walking past the table making us feel rushed and it wasn't packed plus we had a reservation did I mention we had to grab the silverware off the next table. This place is very cozy and cool but this time the service took that away.

Amazing place to go for a salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. The lattes are AMAZING! Great costumer service as well! Loved our waiter!

Me and my sister-in-law's tried this place after a spa day. What a great choice the atmosphere was great. I love the decor. Our server was super friendly and suggestive. They had so many good choices for lunch. We tried the turkey cranberry melt and chicken salad wrap. We also tried the fried goat cheese balls so delicious. I tried the soup which I wish was a little heartier but was good. we really enjoyed our meal. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Had such a good experience here. Small menu with seasonal items to pick from. All the dishes I ordered were served fresh and tasted amazing. My favorite was the Cacio e pepe. This is a small byob restaurant with no bar someone hidden in a shopping plaza. I would recommend making reservations since seating is limited.

Always looking for a delicious local spot. I had D'jeet on my radar for a few months ever since we moved down to the area. We finally got to try it on a Saturday night and were impressed/grateful to find this convenient location. The ambiance is low key yet some how you know that the food is going to be anything but casual. They have a unique art piece when you walk in that also serves as an interesting space divider. Service is friendly. Appetizers Goat cheese fritters - amazing, we ordered a second portion Squash blossoms stuffed with chicken, tinga style and fried in a very light tempura batter- unique combo of Latin and Asian, loved it Entrees Homemade ricotta gnocchi-very good Pappardelle Cacio e Pepe in a butter sauce with Burrata-fantastic Dessert Homemade blueberry tart - can't get any better Needless to say- food was truly on point and will be a new favorite for us.

I ordered d'jeet from pickup and got the Grandpa Joey and my friend got the Joey. Both were absolutely amazing and it was a great size. Added bonus their pesto is tree nut free!

Stopped in for lunch today and was surprised by the price of our lunch @ $80 for two people. Did not realize they now charge for drink refills - so 4 iced teas (that weren't very good) at $4 each and there goes $16! Not sure if the menu said that they charge for refills or not, and the waitress did not mention it. Checked their online menu and they don't list the drinks. Add the 3% credit card fee and tax and now we are over $80. What used to be a regular occurrence will now be an infrequent stop. Sorry D'jeet but the drink thing is a deal breaker for me. With tip almost $100 for lunch - so not worth it.

Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in, the experience felt off. The hostess was noticeably rude and dismissive, coming across as aloof and unnecessarily sharp, which made us feel unwelcome from the start, as though she were doing us a favor by seating us. After being seated, our coffee arrived lukewarm, and the carafe did not keep it warm. When I asked the waitress if she could refresh it, she told me she would need to charge for another coffee, though she offered to heat it in the microwave. That was disappointing. Granted, we were there about two hours, but the wait staff was a bit rude, too. The food was okay, nothing special. We truly miss the previous atmosphere and business model. I'm not sure what direction the restaurant is trying to take now, but it no longer feels warm, friendly, or hospitable.

The bread was delicious. The fig and beet salad was really refreshing! My favorite was the Caesar salad. I loved the dressing and enjoyed the little anchovies on top. I would definitely get it again to share. We ordered the carbonara and tagliatelle which which were good. They had nice flavor and we enjoyed the pasta, but was a little underwhelming. We also ordered the halibut dish to share which was delicious. It was moist and flavorful. For dessert, we ordered the Zeppolis to share. It was a nice treat, but we would probably order another dessert, like the evoo cake. It is a little cramped inside and can be really loud. It was hard to hear our party of four when talking with each other. I would definitely come back to try more of their local meat entrees and pasta dishes.

Needless to say I ordered the cod with what was supposed to be a hassleback potato. The Cod had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I gave it a one star just because presentation was beautiful, but that potato was so dry and overcooked no flavor whatsoever completely shocked at how bad it was. Now onto the real horror story my wife's pasta supposed to be a lemon infused. It tasted like it came from the garbage of the sea. It was so disgustingly potent. I don't know how anyone could eat it. My wife took a few bites and she's not one to complain, so she just took it home and threw it away but what a waste of money and time. Then the kicker John, the general manager decided maybe because we didn't order appetizers or desserts just $200 with the 4 of us for entrees . He told us you had a nice meal. Have a great night and basically told us we had to leave without telling us we had to leave. I don't think we had been there more than an hour. Very uncomfortable I will never be back personally. I've talked to other people who said the quality is definitely gone down because they're trying to do too much with too little. Very disappointing for such an expensive bill.

We got there on a Friday eventing at 5. Knowing that they don't take reservations and that there aren't that many tables we wanted to make sure that we would get a table. It is a lovely place run by lovely attentive volunteers. The whole backstory and the good they are doing goes beyond what the food tastes like. The restaurant asks for food donations (suggested $30 per person) for a 3 course meal but if you can't afford to pay you can volunteer some time for your food as well. So several tables are filled with homeless men and women who were also dining there. The appetizer and entree were tasty but the dessert (a chocolate brownie) was a bit hard and stale.
