D'jeet is such a great spot! Even the name makes me smile every time I say it. The restaurant has a fun and cozy vibe with lots of warm wood and a really pretty dining room that feels inviting right away. My husband and I went on a Sunday and started with the coconut shrimp special. It was amazing! Crispy, citrusy, and full of pineapple flavor. The sauce and garnish were perfect together. For our meals, I ordered The Joey and my husband had The Grandpa Joey. Both were incredible. The Joey has crispy chicken cutlet, provolone, baby arugula, tomato, pesto aioli, and balsamic on seeded Italian bread. The Grandpa Joey takes it up a notch with sopressata, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, and all the Joey goodness combined. Every bite was packed with flavor. The staff was absolutely wonderful, so friendly and attentive. And to top it off, the shopping in the same center is amazing. Anthropologie and Free People are right there, which is basically my dream combo! We left full, happy, and already planning when to come back. I love going to djeet, it's one of the most underrated restaurants in the area. It's been a favorite of mine for over 10 yrs. Best burger (w/ truffle fries) around hands down. I do miss some old menu items like the fig pizza (rip). But the food has consistently always been great there. BYOB keeps cost down to if you're out with friends. read more

My dates had a thin slice of meat but my chicken was almost undetectable just a bunch of fried breadcrumbs, with the rest of what comes I didn't enjoy it very much. This is one of my favorite places in Shrewsbury to eat, and that's a hard decision lots of great places in the area. I would give it a five for the food but our service was horrible. Waitress name was Jen let's start we ordered lental soup and my son asked for it to come with his Joey sandwich. The waitress came out with one sandwich and the soups my sandwich wasn't even hot like it was sitting and they just opened but still incredibly good with the great semolina bread ... But my son and husband didn't get there sandwiches to much much later that they wanted to dip the sandwich in the soup. Then in the middle of eating the bus boy takes all our silverware leaving us nothing to eat our salads with smh. While we ate they kept walking past the table making us feel rushed and it wasn't packed plus we had a reservation did I mention we had to grab the silverware off the next table. Not a great experience, especially for the price. Service: 2 Food: 3 Inside: 4 It took forever to get a refill. We had to ask for bread even though everyone had a basket. The fried chicken was not bone-in unfortunately. The cacio e Pepe was very bland. It was buttered noodles with the blandest pepper I have ever had. It was $30 and I didn't even have 30 noodles. The buratta was ice cold. They also shoved us in the corner by the bathroom and kitchen. We had to listen to the staff say "corner" every other minute and smell the odors from the bathroom. Me and my sister-in-law's tried this place after a spa day. What a great choice the atmosphere was great. I love the decor. Our server was super friendly and suggestive. They had so many good choices for lunch. We tried the turkey cranberry melt and chicken salad wrap. We also tried the fried goat cheese balls so delicious. We finally got to try it on a Saturday night and were impressed/grateful to find this convenient location. The ambiance is low key yet some how you know that the food is going to be anything but casual. They have a unique art piece when you walk in that also serves as an interesting space divider. Service is friendly. Was doing some Holiday shoppin and decided to stop in DJeet for dinner. First time eating dinner there but lunch was always excellent. We brought a bottle of wine with us and from the moment we sat down we could not have asked for a better experience. Our waitress was so attentive and kind, thinking of our needs before we even did. We started with the Goat cheese ball, which brought me right back to the ones I had in Italy, I then had a burger which was cooked to perfection. My daughter had a crabcake, she gets them quite often so considers herself an expert on them. She said the amount of crab to breadcrumb ratio was excellent. Great ambience; great location in The Grove with easy and accessible parking. Their menu is fresh and yummy, particularly their soba noodle salad. My one comment about the place is that the hostesses tend to be a bit sour; I've eaten here countless times and I often feel like they're doing me the favor of seating me! Stopped in for lunch today and was surprised by the price of our lunch @ $80 for two people. Did not realize they now charge for drink refills - so 4 iced teas (that weren't very good) at $4 each and there goes $16! Not sure if the menu said that they charge for refills or not, and the waitress did not mention it. Checked their online menu and they don't list the drinks. Add the 3% credit card fee and tax and now we are over $80. What used to be a regular occurrence will now be an infrequent stop. Sorry D'jeet but the drink thing is a deal breaker for me. The food is good and a nice setting. I met a friend for lunch. It is our go to place BUT our waitress disappeared after our order was taken. She didn't check on us at all. I had to flag someone down for more hot water for my tea. Most of all the piece of salmon in our salads was ridiculously small. This is my second lunch with this experience. No restaurant serves a piece of fish SO small You charge extra for the add on and this is not how it used to be and not how it should be!!! read more

At first glance I didn't get the name but now then I got it. Haha. Pretty creative name! We went with the goat cheese fritters to start out. They are presented like you are eating at a michelin restaurant. For $12.50 I expect a bigger portion for this type of place but they were good. I am a sucker for chicken salad and the chicken salad wrap was legit. The flavors were spot on and it was served in a pita which I loved. The chicken is in big chunks and it isn't overdressed. My wife had the fish tacos and I thought they needed a little punch of spice. The grilled mahi mahi was perfectly cooked though but needed a little more flavor overall. The bread pudding wasn't the best I have had and reminded me of soggy french toast. I do like this spot for brunch/lunch. It is clean and serves quality food. 4 stars all the way. read more

Djeet is a casual upscale restaurant located in The Grove where you can have lunch and dinner before or after shopping. The decor is very open and they have this wooden statue which serves as a room divider between the waiting area and the patrons eating. I had heard the hype. I even read an news article, the owner sources locally grown vegetables and herbs for his restaurant. Everything sounded perfect and I couldn't wait to go there and have lunch with my bestie. We arrived at 12:00 pm when the lunch crowd was next to nil. We were seated by the window and felt it was as good as outdoor eating. Our waitress Gabriela came handed out the menus and the Wednesday's Specials menu. Everyday, they hand out a different Specials menu in addition to their regular menu for lunch. I do not know if they do the same for dinner so this review is solely based on lunch. After ordering, we looked around and remarked about their wooden sculpture. A manager (?) happen to be within earshot explained the owner had actually visited Bali and brought that back with him. The owner definitely loves nature and wood because the decor had wooden accents adorning the walls. He also had this stunning starburst sun chandelier over this natural round shellac wood table that was simply stunning.  Finally our calamari salads came and we dove right in. While it was visually appealing, as we were eating it, we both looked at each other and said it had too much dressing. The lemon caper vinaigrette simply overwhelmed the salad. Secondly the calamari was soggy due to the amount of given dressing. Thirdly, the calamari were cut very thin and the coating made it look more substantial. For a $16 salad, this salad was underwhelming. It was just average and a thus, disappointing. I couldn't find our waitress and she didn't come back for quite a while to even check to see how the salads were. Since we were both ravenous, we just ate as much as we could. I should mention they offer no bread as starters.  After we finished our lunch, it was 1:00 pm and the restaurant was getting quite crowded. The optimal time to go is noon time. read more

My favorite spot for a healthy lunch!! I love this place!! First off don't expect to come here for a quick meal, because everything they make is fresh and from scratch. I have tried the Caicos e Pepe, the Joey, their blueberry pie with lavender ice cream, their chicken burger, the zucchini spaghetti, burrata toast, fried goat cheese balls, tuna tartare, and salads. So far I have not eaten one bad thing! The service we receive is mostly great depending on who you get. Some waiters are better than others. But I overlook that for the food. I am always looking forward to coming here. The lemon lavender ice cream is homemade and truly my absolute favorite. I now want to try their sister restaurant. read more

Located in a hip shopping plaza....The Grove, it's the only place in there to have lunch. The venue has both inside and outside seating and the atmosphere is bright and cheerful. The staff is professional and the menu has varied options. There are also some specials added on a daily basis. My friend had the watermelon and feta salad which she loved because it was fresh and colorful and healthful. I had the crispy chicken sandwich which came with a small salad. It was very filling and delicious as well. The place was packed and it seemed like everybody was enjoying their lunch. Came with a friend for a late lunch after shopping. Since the lunch rush was over we had no problem getting a table. The restaurant is pretty inside but is showing a lot of wear. The wall next to our table was covered in splattered bits of food. The wall in the bathroom was covered in soap that had dripped from the dispenser. The entire place needs a new paint job and deep cleaning. Our food was good and portions were pretty big. I got the large portion of sobe noodles and my friend had the chicken cutlet sandwich. Service was ok. Prices were a little on the high side for lunch. A club soda was $3. I think this place stays as busy as it does because it is pretty much the only place to eat at the Grove without hopping in your car to go somewhere else. Overall we enjoyed our meals but will probably just hop in the car and go elsewhere next time we're in the area shopping. read more

Met a longtime friend here based on a recommendation from another local friend (I moved to the shore area almost 3 years ago). We split a sandwich & each of us ordered a bowl of the butternut squash soup. It was just enough for us! The food is excellent, fresh & I like the fact that the chef cooks based on seasonal availability!
