Lamb shank. Presentation was on point!
Monica B.

Overall it was a great night! Farm to table restaurant, who doesn't love that! When you arrive for your reservation, everyone in your party must be present for them to seat you. We ordered, lemon pasta, Mafaldine pasta, mushrooms and radicchio salad for appetizers. The mushrooms, lemon pasta and salad were my favorites. 4 of us got the pork chop, one swordfish and one lamb shank. Everyone enjoyed the entrees, I personally loved the pork chop, it had amazing flavors! Dessert, one olive cake, one lime cake and one Zeppole. The lime cake was too sweet, zeppoles were good but could have been cooked a tad more, they only left one so they must have enjoyed and I didn't try the olive cake but seems like everyone liked it. We enjoyed everything and recommend for couples, groups and families. Thank you Karen for excellent service!

Fantastic! My first time coming here and I was blown away by the quality of food. They have a small menu with food items constantly changing. Its also a BYOB and they provided an ice bucket if you bring wine. The appetizer started with a beet salad and potato burrata pesto. The salad was simple and refreshing. Main entree was amazing. Semolina is one of my favorites.

We had a reservation but had to wait 20 minutes to allow two senior ladies to finish up. We started with the charred spanish octopus which was very good. I had bluefin tuna, three healthy slices of seared tuna so tender i cut it with my fork. My wife had a huge grilled pork chop from heaven with red cabbage and a bacon jam. For dessert, an excellent panna cotta with fresh figs and candied hazelnuts . They also had an interesting list of pastas that we will try next time. My only issue was the bread served before the meal - dry and very crusty. Service was excellent and accommodating.

Still excellent here. Service is great and consistent with high energy staff. Caesar's salad is unique and a favorite. Love the spaghetti and the chicken is probably one of the best in NJ. Their food never disappoints!

I went with a group of friends and we all had different dishes. I had the arancini ball which was SO filling even though it was just an appetizer. You can tell everyone enjoyed their food because there was nice eating pauses between conversation (and we are talkative girls)

Tuna. If you like a little spice, you will love this!

The ambiance was quiet and casual dressy. Very comfortable. The server came right to us with waters after being seated and opened our wine right away (It's. BYO). Very attentive staff without being intrusive. Our server, Jillian helped me decide on the monk fish which was incredible. Very different from any I've had before. Packed with flavor yet not confusing to the pallet. As the night went on Jillian and her teammate continued to attentively serve us the wine we brought in, assure our waters were filled, empty plates cleaned and all needs were met. We indulged with two deserts split between four of us which was plenty and very satisfying. Just the right amount of sweetness with texture and overall delicious. I'd certainly come here again!

"Short rib" aka pot roast

We have eaten here a bunch of times and previously I would have said this place is a solid 4-4.5 stars but something was different on our last visit. We had one of the regular servers who is usually really good but they continuously made "jokes" that were condescending and off putting to the women at our table. Feeling so rushed to order, we even got a "60-second shot clock." The restaurant now almost forces you to finish in 90-minutes NO MATTER WHAT! Entrees were served before we finished our appetizers and they walked by trying to clear the table 3 times when we were still picking and chatting amongst ourselves. It just really kills the experience, and when we left there were 2 people waiting... it's not like we were taking up someone's table. I felt like I broke the law staying for 1hr 45 minutes vs the 90 minute mandate. Guys, we left that behind with Covid, years ago, or at least EVERY other restaurant did, just not here. We ordered the burrata, the ruvolo, scallops, pork chop, tagliatelle and short rib. The pork chop is always good, no complaints. My wife enjoyed the tagliatelle as well. But everything else was average in our opinion. The burrata just didn't work, none of the 4 of us cared for it and it's cheese, hard to mess up. The scallops definitely needed to be seared more, the $45 short rib is a piece of pot roast... and the ruvolo pasta was not great although a neat concept. $278 for 4 people no alcohol, it needs to be better at that price point. Not sure what has changed but we won't be rushing back any time soon, which honestly is a bit disappointing because we have always spoken highly of this place, but can't anymore. And check the recent reviews on google, many, many people saying the same things... you'd think they would listen to their customers at some point. What worked before won't always work moving forward...

Semolina is a fantastic small family owned restaurant in Red Bank. Their concept is farm to table with a seasonal menu with some items always being on the menu. They also make all their pasta in house. The carbonara, one of their dishes that is always on the menu, is tasty but over time the bacon bits can make the dish taste too salty. Nonetheless, the duck egg yolk on top was a welcomed treat in the carbonara. The panna cotta was good but if you don't like figs then it wouldn't be the dish you would want to try. It's a seasonal menu so the panna cotta today will be different in a couple of months. I would 100% dine here again.

Dessert!

I celebrated my birthday here with my daughter. What a wonderful place! We were seated promptly & offered water & warm bread. Everything we ordered was amazing, as was our server. She was kind & attentive. I'll definitely return.

Squash blossoms, peach and heirloom tomato salad, pork chop, and Sweet Corn Angolotti.

Great farm to table experience. Fresh ingredients - good service. We'll be back again! Pork chop was really good - ignore some of these ridiculous reviews about this dish. With 25 years working in fine dining- this dish is top notch. That sweet onion jam on top was a perfect complement. Overall it was a bit pricey but I appreciate quality local sourced food and to bring my own wine which saves quite a bit on alcohol. Did I mention the fresh crispy bread was also amazing!

I love semolina! I love that they have a rotating seasonal menu with everything locally sourced and they even include the farms they source their food from on the menu. Their fall menu definitely isn't my favorite, but I still enjoyed my meal. The roast chicken was cooked to order so it took a while but we were warned about it before hand. It was worth the wait!

The pork chop and Tonnarelli Pasta
Hana G.

Overall, hands down best pork chop I have had in my entire life. I don't even like pork chops usually but this was incredible. Service: the service was fantastic! They were extremely knowledgeable about the food and you can tell they were passionate. Food: As stated earlier, best pork chop ever and cooked to perfection. The Tonnarelli pasta with lobster was also a show-stopper. Ambiance: It was a modern but rustic feel.

The chicken parm , which I don't normally order was recommended by the server and did not disappoint. It was tender, moist chicken cutlet with crispy, flavorful breading, balanced by a vibrant, not too salty or acidic marinara sauce and, melted mozzarella, served with rigatoni. Wine list - Huge huge Italian wine list with smaller names and unfamiliar names. Did my research and got a bottle of rosso montalcino ($69) which was excellent to pair 2. Meatballs - tender, doesn't fully fall apart but light and almost melts in your mouth. Sauce is light but full of flavor 3. Eggplant parm - not spicy even though supposed to be spicy rigatoni with it. Huge portion. Took half home. Pasta was delicious with enough sauce and al denté as I like 4. Tiramisu - one of the better ones I've had. Not alcoholic. Moist and excellent balance of layers. Shaved chocolate on top is a nice touch 5. Chocolate torte - deliciously creamy and lighter than I thought. Full chocolate flavor. Comes with a fior di latte gelato which was high quality. Overall an excellent high quality Italian dinner. No wonder why it's hard to get weekend reservations. Highly recommended and will definitely be back when in Red Bank and craving Italian.
