Great way to start the morning! Warmly greeted by Server Makayla B. Enjoyed my breakfast the G. O. A. T. Scrambled egg skillet! Layers of potatoes, mushrooms, goat cheese, tomato jam and scrambled eggs!! Thanks for the recommendation Makayla the tomato jam was amazing!! Loved it! Opens at 7am. Very clean. Support local artists and have Give Back TO THE COMMUNITY! Program. They also have loyalty reward program. Parking on site. Makayla has an awesome disposition! Definitely asset to the Sandy's Cafe!

Food is always excellent and very filling. Great proportions with finely presented plates that are good and hearty. Everything I've eaten here has been a slam dunk. My favorite local spot for sure. The servers are extremely friendly and provide a welcoming atmosphere. They have many beautiful local art pieces hanging on the walls. Nice quiet music. Fairly priced too. My go to is typically the Sandys Breakfast Burrito or their burger. Best burger around hands down. And I am a big burger guy.

We ordered tuscany skillet and corned beef hash platter. The bacon was extra charge. I liked that the potatoes were crispy but tasted weird to me. I didnt like that it had different sizes of potatoes which made some smaller portion to taste burnt and big portion just right. Both skillet and platter needed seasoning. I didnt like the combination of sausage with the potatoes on the tuscany skillet. I definitely would have wanted corned beef hash in exchange for sausage on my skillet but this was not in any of the options.

It was my first time trying Sandy's Cafe. I ordered their $5 pork roll, egg, and cheese summer sandwich special. It was well worth the money as the picture shows what I'm trying to explain :) yumm definitely will be back and the staff was really nice too

I ordered the Mom Burger, which is a Swiss burger topped with mushrooms on a brioche bun. It also came with a good portion of fries and a side of pickles. The burger itself was pretty solid -- good flavor and a satisfying size. At $16, the portion felt fair considering the amount of fries you get with it. One thing I noticed was an additional charge for sauces. I asked about it, and they explained that all their sauces are made in-house, which is why they charge $1 per sauce. Honestly, that makes sense when they're homemade. Now the star of the show for me was actually the drink. After looking over the menu a bit more, I decided to try the LA Metro coffee drink with almond milk. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but for $5.99, I have to say it was really good. Definitely something I'd order again. I also want to mention the customer service. The girl working at the counter was extremely nice -- probably some of the best customer service I've had in a while. She didn't rush anything, answered my questions, and was very professional and friendly. I asked about the specials, the cakes they offer, and even whether they were doing a St. Patrick's Day platter, which they are. Overall, it was a really good experience. Good food, great drink, and excellent customer service. I'd definitely recommend stopping by Taylor Sam's if you're in the area.

Although it wasn't very busy, service upstairs was fairly slow, and several nearby tables also seemed to be waiting a while for food or checks. My dad's Baked Brie Burger was delicious--the fig jam paired perfectly with it, and the waffle fries were fried to perfection. I ordered the Mr. Beautiful Burger, which tasted great at first. Unfortunately, I felt VERY sick almost immediately after eating. I can't say for certain what caused it, but since my dad didn't try my burger and felt fine after his meal, I suspect mine may not have been cooked properly. Despite that, I enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, and overall experience. I'd definitely give this place another chance, though I'll skip the Mr. Beautiful Burger next time.

The chicken noodle soup tasted foul--almost as though the soup pot hadn't been properly cleaned between uses. My mother ordered a fruit cup with her meal, but the first thing they brought her was French fries. When they corrected the mistake, they brought out watermelon, pineapple, and banana slices. While the fruit itself would have been fine, the banana was already beginning to brown, which made it look particularly unappetizing. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. The French toast was limp and undercooked, and the French fries were hot on the outside but cold in the middle. The experience was bad enough that we noticed another customer at a table across and diagonally from us take one bite of his burger, put it down, get up, and leave without eating any more. By the time we left, we hadn't been able to eat much of anything. We ended up stopping at McDonald's on the way home because we were still hungry and needed something we could actually eat. I understand that mistakes happen in restaurants, but this was far beyond a single mistake or an off dish. Nearly everything we ordered had a problem, and the overall quality was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not return.

I'm honestly not sure what was more impressive to me; the soups or the sandwiches. I guess I'll start with their namesake, the soup. First time I came here I tried the French onion, since what better 'simple' soup to judge a soup place by, right? Excellent, right out of the gate - utterly bursting with caramelized onion flavor, and just a hint of brandy, I believe? I later came back and tried the Thai coconut and "thanksgiving dinner" soups, with each one seriously cramming a ton of flavor into each bite. Never thought I'd be blown away by soup, of all things, but here we are. The sandwiches are just as good as the soups were, and are priced really fairly for the quality and portion you get. Most of their sandwiches are made on their homemade "pesto bread", which may be the moistest, softest bread I've had in years. If you can't decide, they seem to run specials frequently, where you can get a sandwich & cup of soup. The only 'negative' I can think of is that since sandwiches are made to order, it can take ~10-15 mins to get sandwiches and the like, but this isn't a McDonalds, so I feel like that's expected. Besides, your patience is greatly rewarded. Skip the chain food; there's some really inspired, friendly folks here cranking out some of the best stuff in town. Well worth a visit, imo!
