Sandy's is by far our favorite spot. Since it opened, this small business has been exactly what you expect from a community business- personable, caring, engaging with the children, and gives back to the local community. Since the original owner sold, the new owners have far exceeded our expectations! How could our favorite spot become even more exceptional? Well, the food is even better than before- pancakes have been perfected, the new fresh squeezed OJ, and even the South west skillet improved with the attention to detail- they have evenly distributed the chorizo in a way that makes every bite balanced and smooth, which was not the case prior! The friendliness of the staff and the owner,specifically, is amazing. They really want you to have a good experience and clearly are passionate about hospitality. They even have a "take one" ticket on their cork board for those who can't afford a meal- someone can just receive. My family will only get our breakfast at Sandy's bc there is no one who has breakfast potatoes that remotely compete, skillets that knock your socks off, a breakfast burrito that is satisfying AND filled with flavor, pancakes that look and taste like heaven, sandwiches that fill and taste flavorful and fresh-- need I say more?! Food is always excellent and very filling. Great proportions with finely presented plates that are good and hearty. Everything I've eaten here has been a slam dunk. My favorite local spot for sure. The servers are extremely friendly and provide a welcoming atmosphere. They have many beautiful local art pieces hanging on the walls. Nice quiet music. Fairly priced too. We ordered tuscany skillet and corned beef hash platter. The bacon was extra charge. I liked that the potatoes were crispy but tasted weird to me. I didnt like that it had different sizes of potatoes which made some smaller portion to taste burnt and big portion just right. Both skillet and platter needed seasoning. I didnt like the combination of sausage with the potatoes on the tuscany skillet. I definitely would have wanted corned beef hash in exchange for sausage on my skillet but this was not in any of the options. read more

Absolutely terrible.. I HATE to write negative reviews, but this was a truly terrible experience. Went for breakfast this morning with my family (party of 5). We had to wait 20minutes to get our drinks and an addition hour & 30min to get our food. When our food finally arrived, we had to wait an additional 10min to get utensils. No apologies were given for the wait. The frustrating part was we kept seeing to-go orders being fulfilled nonstop, but the patrons who have been sitting down for over an hour had to wait. We decided to give this place a try for brunch after reading the reviews. We were immediately seated after checking in. The cafe is split into two rooms, with the first one being a bagel shop with seats and the second room being a dining room. There is a bagel shop inside as well and has tall window seats and a paying counter with bagel racks behind it. It is very minimally decorated as well, with the walls being painted white and the room being mostly bare. The dining room, on the other hand, has walls that are painted ultramarine blue and tables that are covered with black and white plaid tablecloths. Two of the dining room's tables are part-booth-part-regular, as well. Framed pictures also hang from the walls to give the dining room a comfortable feeling. Daughter ordered the Avocado Toast which has creamy avocado on toasted whole grain bread. It's served with 2 sunny side up eggs, bacon and Sandy's Potatoes. Daughter liked it a lot and thought the bacon was nice and crispy and well done. Hubs ordered the Tuscan Skillet which comes with breakfast sausage, Sandy's Potatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese, topped with 2 sunny side up eggs and basil. He liked it because there was a little kick to it and the potatoes were really nice. Lastly, I had the two eggs over easy with Sandy's Potatoes with multigrain toast with a side of waffle ($6) and pure Vermont maple syrup ($3). I liked it a lot . The waffle was nice and crispy and the eggs were great. Our orders took a while to come out even though we were the only ones there, but we didn't mind. Our server apologized for the meals taking a while. Eventually, 3-4 more tables were occupied. Service was friendly. Also, there's a 3% surcharge on credit cards. We got an egg and cheese with crispy bacon on a Kaiser and wow I can say that was a really good breakfast sandwich! We also got an egg bagel with cream cheese which was good but there could've been a little more cream cheese! Normally places are pretty generous with the cream cheese but, not this time. Our server Maddie was friendly, present, and efficient. The breakfast menu had a great variety without being overwhelming. The biscuits and gravy and Garden State Skillet, as others have said in reviews, were great. The potatoes in the Skillet were exceptional, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. (A cook who does potatoes right knows how to cook!) Our coffee was constantly refilled as needed. The check was reasonable with good value, with payment easy through the phone and Apple Pay. Came here today for a repass and it was amazing. They were so accommodating, closing the place down for us. They prepared us a buffet of Mac and cheese, ziti, a chicken dish, wraps and salad.
