Very friendly folks behind the two-seat counter and it's like an old-fashioned diner where you can watch them cook. About a dozen tables and outside dining is available. The food was very good. The hostess and waitress were rude and snarky. People told me it gets crowded on a Sunday morning and we wanted to eat around 11am. I went 15 minutes earlier to put my name on the list. The hostess said that there was a 20 to 25 minute wait and I waited outside because there is no where to wait inside. She called my name at 10:58 and i went up to her and she rudely asked if my entire party was present because they were busy! No fooling. That's why I went earlier and put my name on their list. Atmosphere: The Rt 70 Diner is located in a small shopping center next to a few other restaurants. The outside blends in with the shopping center, while the inside is decorated like a stereotypical diner. A few booths, tables, and a bar up front. Coffee: The coffee was brewed hot and fresh. The waitress brought plenty of refills. Food: The Rt 70 Diner is open until 3 pm and has plenty of breakfast and lunch options. They have plenty of specials as well. I was in the mood for breakfast, so I ordered the ribeye and eggs. It also came with home fries and toast. I asked for the steak medium. It was cooked as requested. L I S T E N. Now that we are finally able to go out and eat, my dad and I took a little trip up to Rt. 70 Diner. Their menu has been updated a bit, and now includes chilaquiles. I decided to try them, and I am SO glad I did. They were perfect, and I'm still thinking about them 7 hours later (thus the review). The perfect amount of crisp to the tortilla chips, while still being soaked in the salsa enough to transport flavor; enough sour cream and queso fresco to quench the little bit of heat; and delicious scrambled eggs on top. I'm just wishing I had more right now. Saw a sign for this new diner the other day while I was driving down 70. I decided to stop in with my dad and give them a try. This diner has an open space set up, where you can see the kitchen when you walk in. We decided to sit at the counter so we could watch the cook (it's like watching the food network, but live.) After looking through the menu, I decided to go with the crispy chicken ranch wrap. It had chicken strips, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, and tomato, and a perfect amount of ranch dressing. It was delicious, as were the coleslaw and fries that came with it. (I attached some photos, but please forgive me for not remembering to snap them until after I had already started eating. I was hungry! Hah But I did feel a tad bit of buyers remorse after getting it, because I could see the cook making some BEAUTIFUL French toast with fresh strawberries... My mother and I went to this diner on Friday October 8, 2021 for lunch. It was our first time. I had read the reviews so since they were good we should go. I ordered a sausage omelet and a large orange juice. My mother ordered a burger with onions and mushrooms. When we got home we were both so nauseous to the point of being sick.
