This place just warms my heart. They keep little items to purchase from small businesses. It's one…read moreof the best cups of coffee around. During the winter I got this marshmallow latte I may not remember the name but I remember how good it tasted! They also have some delicious sweets and occasionally some GF goodies too (stored in the same display case as gluten containing foods). I did come here once asking for one of their GF banana muffins and without noticing the cashier handed me a muffin and the second I bit into it I knew it had gluten in it. Not sure if he just misheard me but I was able to get it switched out after telling them what happened. Thankfully my allergy is not severe. Whether you're looking for a notebook, a trinket or a latte, I can guarantee this place will not disappoint. I wish they had more seating though as I would love to come here and read while I sip on my coffee.

AMAZING AMAZING... Did I say Amazing?!?…read more Very nice coffee breakfast spot. I discovered this waiting for the bank to open and decided to grab something. Cute setup, but designed for grab and go although there is some seating there. Staff is fun and lively. I loved the energy they have. -Car Mac I landed on this item because the name intrigued me. It's their take on Carmel macchiato w/ macadamia nut milk. And priced appropriately which I really appreciate. Too many coffee shops are overpriced and underperformed, but this is not one of those locations. DELICIOUSNESS !!!!! They do offer other items and have a cool menu. I'd come back if ever in the area. Great Job Batch!

The Food Shack - Beach house classic

We had a great experience here! We got here at around 2:15pm to kick off our day at the beach. Even…read morethough the The Food Shack closes at 2:00pm, the server behind the counter was very gracious and still took our order (and the orders of some people behind us) without complaining. We were really impressed by the location. The Food shack is located right on the beach which is the perfect way to enjoy a lunch on a Summer day in Point Pleasant. They have lots of umbrellaed outdoor seating, and some benches in the sun, so there are options for everyone. They also have some indoor seating, and the inside is adorable. We ordered a swiss grilled cheese with tomato on top, and a BLT. Each item came with pickles and a bag of chips. Each item was priced reasonably, especially considering typical Jersey Shore pricing. My grilled cheese was great. The bread/cheese/tomato ratio was perfect. The cheese was gooey, and stayed gooey even as the sandwich cooled. The bread on the grilled cheese was crispy on the outside and still soft and warm on the inside. I didn't know what to expect from a small shack on the beach, especially with something as simple as a grilled cheese, but I really enjoyed it. The BLT also had a gread tomato/bacon/lettuce/mayo ratio and wasn't too greasy. Overall I will definitely be coming back!

Even the wait time here is pleasant. My wife and I had to wait 40 minutes for our table but didn't mind a bit as we soaked up some sunshine and listened to the smooth guitar sounds coming from the guitarist playing outside. My wife had a breakfast sandwich that she loved. We split a spinach salad and I had a tuna melt on sourdough with a side of crabby fries. My sandwich was grilled perfectly. Tuna with melted cheddar and light, crispy buttery sourdough made for a great sandwich. TFS is seasonal only so their last day is October 26 this year and we plan on visiting again before they close for the season.

I got pork roll, grape tomatoes, broccoli, and American cheese in my omelet. Sure, this was the third day in a row I had pork roll, but I was in New Jersey, so I was required to by several state and local statutes. Service was good - the waitress was friendly and answered all of our questions easily. I almost gave her a pop-quiz just to see how much she knew, but I figured she works hard enough as it is...doesn't need some jerk from out of town making her job harder. I'll leave that to the people from NJ. The food was delicious - the omelet was as expected for the most part. However, the pork roll was not pieces of slices but rather thick chunks, which was awesome! Before I left another wait staff person approached us. He asked me if I enjoyed listening to ska music, based on the way I was dressed. We were amused. Charming little place on a corner. Has good food, decent prices, and friendly staff. Not too busy on a Friday morning in late June, either.

I ordered a simple breakfast; eggs over easy, sausage and home fries. I also opted for hasbrown on the side (extra). It took a while for the food to come out and I will say, another member of our party ordered the omelette with French fries on the side, and the amount of fries they gave could've been more generous. The omelette took up the entire plate so they only scattered a few fries on the remaining space, rather than putting it on a new plate.
