Needless to say, she didn't know the menu and needed to come back again to get details on our meal (this is not her fault, and who made the decision to have a trainee work her 1st day on a holiday without supervision). We did receive our food, but couldn't get a refill on my iced tea because our server never check in on us. I didn't see our actual server until I had completed my meal. I asked to see the manager. I explained all of this to the manager and she had zero empathy for our situation. Instead, she defended the ladies at the front and said the training server was one of her better servers. All she offered was a faint, half-hearted apology. I've worked as a server and can understand when someone is in the weeds. One of the problems with breakfast, for me, is a lot of places drench everything with butter and salt... which most people seem to like. Not me, I like healthy, natural flavors. I have a couple times ordered their Jersey Girl omelette (tomatoes, asparagus, mozzarella, green onions), and it is made to perfection. Tasty, healthy, and not greasy. Just wonderful. The only thing that prevents me from rating 5 stars is that I was a little surprised that the eggs, which came with toast and potatoes (I had a banana instead), did not come with coffee, for which they charged $3.50 (hey, even Starbucks with their outrageous pricing charges only $2.45 for a cup of plain old coffee). But I would definitely recommend Beach Grille for an eggsellent breakfast!
