    Saturday night summer line
    Lee C.

Very good ice cream but sometimes a very long line to wait in. Parking is not easy either.

    - great ice cream flavors - cookies and cream was delicious - waffle cone was decent; the wrapper stuck hard to the cone, so I could not eat that section - seating for 12 people Cute spot and great to come when weather gets warmer.

Oh my god YUM! The ice cream (gelato) was extremely delicious... But it was so hot outside that we made a mess of ourselves. Please guys, I love the overfilled cups, but they hella messy

Cookies & cream, Cookie Monster and Birthday Cake ice cream on a waffle- YUM!

I stopped by here on a Saturday evening after dinner, and to my surprise- THE PLACE WAS EMPTY! I thought that was rather odd for a hot summer night, but I was happy I didn't have to wait in a long line. There was one girl working & she was very friendly. She asked if we had been there before, then offered us samples of some of her favorite flavors. The ice cream and waffle was absolutely amazing! The waffles are made fresh in house, and they pair perfectly with the creamy and delicious ice cream! I found this location to be vibrant and extremely clean. There's several tables if you want to hang out and eat your ice cream. The prices are reasonable & you definitely get your monies worth here! 3 scoops of ice cream on a waffle is around $6- which isn't bad at all! They take cash only so be prepared for that... There's tons of street parking, and a few public parking lots within walking distance.

Mint chocolate chip, cinnamon twirl, strawberry donut ice cream in chocolate waffle bowl

Cute store with unique flavors and pretty bowls. This ice cream shop has a bright and cheerful interior, friendly service, aesthetically pleasing bowls and toppings, with a wide variety of innovative flavors. I've been back every week to try new flavors and haven't been disappointed yet! I especially recommend the Superman and lemon bar. It's like a sherbet creamsicle that's surprisingly smooth and less tart than expected. I also think the strawberry donut is very special in that it does taste like what it states itself as. It doesn't have an artificial strawberry candy flavor. Lastly the cinnamon twirl is quite spicy enough to provide that autumnal kick without overpowering the other flavors. Overall I have enjoyed all the flavors here and likely will continue to do so! 5/5 would recommend!

I'm giving this business a two star rather than a one because we walked out! I was watching food network with my daughter and we saw this ice cream place, we actually watched the story behind it in Long Branch NJ. So the homemade waffle cones in different flavors as well and fancy ice cream, looked fantastic to pass up! My daughter and hubby are complete Ice cream monsters. We waited outside until the place somewhat cleared out. Social distancing isn't enforced. The second thing that turned me off was the man behind the register not wearing a mask properly! That seemed to be the theme. Groups of kids kept walking in and out mask less and it's very small and tight. I will not return to this location.

Wow this place smells delicious from the moment you walk in!! They have many varieties of flavors from ice cream to different types of waffle cones. My bf for the rich and famous with the rainbow waffle cone. The ice cream was delicious and he really enjoyed the cone. I got the birthday and Cookie Monster on a chocolate waffle cone. I thought my waffle cone tasted better ! Both flavors were really delicious and highly recommend the Cookie Monster flavor. Only cons is that for some reason that flavor melted at warp speed and I had blue everywhere (had to walk back in for napkins which they don't give with out asking). Also, the cones do sit out and aren't covered, which I wish they would do especially during covid. Both cones came to $15, which I thought was fair for the amount and taste of the ice cream. Definitely filling and this place is totally worth a visit!

I dare you to find smaller scoops of ice cream, not just in New Jersey, but annnnnnywhere.

I dare you to find smaller scoops of ice cream, not just in New Jersey, but annnnnnywhere. The ice cream is average, which is to say that it's tasty on a hot night. I liked it. Several of their flavors have crafty names. Crafty names that tell you absolutely nothing about the actual flavor of the ice cream. And when the employees behind the counter are barking at you to hurry up while you try to discern what the flavors actually are it's frustrating to attempt to order what you might actually enjoy. Increasing their serving size and clarifying flavors would take this place to a new level. They can get there. But in the meantime, if you're looking for an easy ice cream experience than you might consider other options. Get there, guys. I'm rooting for you.

Brownie waffle with chocolate peanut butter, vanilla with brownies and cookie dough, and the best flavor Cinnabon ice cream!

I've been wanting to try Coney Waffles for so long after seeing so many Instagram pictures of the waffle and ice cream. I was thinking I was going to get a fresh made hot waffle topped with ice cream! After all the name of the place is Coney Waffles you would think the waffles would be delicious! Sad to say the waffles were the worst part! I ordered the brownie waffle topped with chocolate peanut butter, vanilla with cookie dough and brownies, and Cinnabon ice cream. I asked for it to be topped with Reese's cups, but the man behind behind the counter said he was was out of them because he used them to make a cake. I thought that was weird to be out of Reese's cups since on the Coney Waffles instagram page shows tons of pictures with them used for crazy shakes and topped on most of the ice creams with waffles. The brownie waffle was so disappointing! It was not hot or fresh made. It was an imitation pre made artificial waffle! I'll never order a waffle here again! If I would of known that I would of just ordered my ice cream in a cup! The ice cream isn't home made it comes from Pennsylvania. Some of the flavors are still really good and some not so much. The Cinnabon flavor ice cream was DELICIOUS, and I'd definitely come back for that flavor! The chocolate peanut butter flavor ice cream was pretty good, but the vanilla with brownie and cookie dough wasn't good at all! If you want to try it just go for the ice cream and skip the waffle! If you want a fresh made hot waffle with homemade ice cream go to Luigi's ice cream on the same street!

Unfortunately I would give zero stars if possible. First off, the man behind the counter couldn't have been less pleasant or friendly if he tried. My husband and I were the ONLY people in the store and politely asked for a sample & was promptly told no. Ok that's fine. But then I asked for a small and paid $4 for this pathetic little bit of ice cream. Safe to say it was not worth the $4. Won't be returning due to price & actions from staff.

House made waffle cones and ice cream scoops as big as their faces!!

Ice cream is ok. If you want a place to get really good ice cream, make the trip to cook-mans creamery, way better than coney waffle!

This is the kind of ice cream place I would enjoy taking guests to. A very wide selection of unique flavors (that also seemed to be very generous with add-ins), offers soft serve, frozen yogurt. and hard ice cream, as well as sherbet. The toppings menu is also extensive allowing for tons of customization so everyone can leave happy. Needless to say, when I walked in, I had to ask for some extra time just to take in all my options! The interior is optimized for take-out ice cream, both in the way the queue is setup (using freezers filled with take home pints and treats), but also with the limited seating both inside and outside. Be prepared to enjoy your dessert in your car during a nice summer day. Prices were very fair and I thought the flavors had good taste, though some were tastier than others (so be sure to ask for a sample if you're between options. I tried one that was a bit more artificial than I prefer.) The man who served me during my visit seemed agitated and perhaps overwhelmed so I won't take points off for what seemed like a bad day. Overall would recommend giving them a shot

Best Soufflé Pancakes ever!…read more Now that I've actually been to Japan I can honestly say I crave these pancakes more than the ones I had overseas! These pancakes are more fluffier and eggier (I think that's a legit word, LOL), and super rich! If you don't like eggs, don't visit because there is a lot of eggy flavor. I've tried the two dominant flavors, Matcha and Strawberry, and I can't tell which one I like better. The light cream topping is better than any butter or maple syrup I've ever had. There is usually one more flavor that they change from time to time as well which I've heard is great. Going on the weekday avoids the wait. J S Foodies is the latter, a small and cheerful outpost of Tokyo imagination where breakfast behaves like theater. I arrived with my boys and my father in law, a man celebrating another year of survival in a universe that has not yet figured out how to improve pancakes. The space is small, and the famous Kiseki pancakes take their time, about twenty to thirty minutes, as if they are being persuaded into existence rather than cooked. These Kiseki pancakes are not pancakes in the American sense. They are soufflé style creations, tall and trembling, as if gravity is only a suggestion. They arrive airy and delicate, with a gentle jiggle that suggests optimism. We ordered accordingly. I had the lemon ricotta, which tasted like sunlight had been filtered through dairy. My oldest chose matcha, green, purple and quietly sophisticated and complex. My youngest went with the original maple, a classic executed so well it made the classics feel new again. All were excellent, the sort of food that makes conversation pause because mouths are busy being grateful. My father in law ordered what I personally considered a cautious breakfast. Regular pancakes with eggs and bacon. A meal that could have been assembled in any roadside diner between here and forever. Yet even this was handled with care. The eggs were perfect, the bacon honest, the pancakes dignified. No irony, no shortcuts. Yes, the prices are a little steep. But this is not a place for routine nourishment. This is a place for occasions, for birthdays, for reminding yourself that breakfast can aspire to something like art. Five stars, because sometimes the world surprises you by getting something exactly right.
