    Eggs Benedict Platter

Finally stopped in after many years of driving by and wondering about this place. It has a very no frills, old school luncheonette/diner feel and it is pretty small so we were lucky there was a table available. My wife got a small stack of pancakes and an egg and I got the eggs benedict with tater tots. Both were good, the hollandaise was on the lighter side and the tots very crispy. Glad we stopped in!

We finally got to stop at Edie's for a Sunday breakfast. The house it's in dates back 160 years so there is a lot of history. It's a very quaint , neighborhood establishment with friendly service. We ordered the following : Blueberry pancakes - Huge Corned beef hash- very good, not salty Egg platter with tater tots Coffee us good and I love the fact that there are so many potato options to choose from. Edie's will definitely be a regular spot for us. Not only do we live near by but the food and service beat a diner any day.

Food is terrific staff friendly and place is clean . The only way to improve this place would be if they gave the food away . Breakfast , brunch or lunch the menu is suited to satisfy . I have come here for years .

This place is so close to me and is always packed, so I had to try it! Edie's is in a historic building that has had many lives as various things: a post office, a general store..the interior is now an old fashioned Diner vibe. (Btw, they are only open for breakfast & lunch). The staff are friendly and quick and the food is excellent! I had a grilled chicken Caesar & my friend had the Chesapeake Omelette. Definitely try Edie's!

We love Edie's luncheonette for a diner type foods. The place is an old home/gas station and has a long history in Little Silver that you can see and read about on the walls. The Good: The food & the people If you appreciate good breakfast or sandwiches out this place is for you. There is a long counter where you can almost always grab a seat. The eggs, omelettes and pancakes are awesome. We love it hear because everyone can get their favorite breakfast. The sandwiches come with chips, but you can swap them out for a wide variety of fries (Seasoned, curly, shoe string --- and my favorite -- tater tots!) The staff are warm and welcoming in. They make even the littlest visitors feel special. The Challenge: There are only 2 off street parking spaces. So be prepared to park along Rumson Road and be careful opening your door into traffic. COVID Ordering: we've ordered a number of times since the region went into lockdown. Ordering and pick up has been super easy. The staff are still super warm and friendly. The food is perfectly packed and still nice and hot when we get home. They provide everyone you need, utensils, ketchup, etc. Recently they have added table to the front two parking spaces and a tent behind the building for more tables. We haven't had a chance to sit for a meal here, but it looks welcoming and safely set up.

Always a line, but one that moves quickly. Really good breakfast sandwiches. Cozy spot that appeals to all ages. Dodgy parking.

Best place I know of for the freshest food for either breakfast or lunch. My kids grew up going to Eddies and now THEY take ME there.

I didn't understand why he didn't turn the volume down while he tried to get it to work. This was happening simultaneously while the radio was as blaring. Now for the food: The pancakes were terrible. I tried to doctor them with butter & syrup, but they clearly had too much flour in the batter. I explained to the manager. She said she would remove the pancake price. Pancakes were $8 +$3 for the sausage. She removed the $11 charge and added $5.50 for the sausage. The skillet had potatoes of all different sizes that tasted like that had not been seasoned at all. There were some potatoes that were rotted (see photo); just don't include them. The chorizo tasted terrible; it was not spicy at all. Instead of spice it had a weird flavor. The waitress was STELLAR! When I went to pay my bill, I presented a credit card. I was told that the credit card may or may not go through because they were having problems. I was then told that she would take my name and phone number and try to run it when the machine was working. I asked my companion if I could borrow cash. I was then informed, " yes cash is better." I retrieved my credit card and I asked whether she ran the credit card because was still manipulating the credit card machine, still trying to run my card. She said "oh no, it didn't go through. We don't have any Internet right now." I said, "OK I'll just make sure on my statement that I didn't get charged. She told me, "go ahead I WANT you to make sure." I left a generous tip for the waitress because she was the absolute best thing about this restaurant. I hope one day that the waitress will find a restaurant that is worthy of her talent and countenance."

The restaurant is large, with white walls that are adorned with framed pictures and knickknacks, multiple lamps hanging from the central ceiling, and tables everywhere. Plush booths that are big enough to fit 4 people line the walls and on the ground, a mosaic-like design can be seen under the 6-person tables. We ordered the following: Daughter had the Eggcado Delight, which has eight grain toast with smashed avocado, two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and chopped bacon bits. It's also served with a small side of home fries. This is daughter's usual go to breakfast with avocado. She said that this was pretty good and tasty. Next Hubs had the Vegetarian Omelette, which has 4 large eggs, mushrooms, onions, pepper and tomatoes. He also got wheat toast. Hubs disputed the size of the 4 large eggs to me. LOL. He said that the meal was ok but could be fluffier. The potatoes were ok but it could use a few onions. His toast was pretty good. Lastly, I had the Waffles and bananas and it was pretty good. Service was friendly and quick. We were glad that we got to try this place and will definitely return in the future to try other items on the menu.
