Americana is our classic Jersey diner. The vibes are always immaculate. Cozy, comforting, delicious. Everyone who works here is kind and patient. Really really excellent!

Clean diner located across from Uncle Giuseppe's. Service was good. The diner looked like an old school Brooklyn diner. Food was very good. Had the Cheeseburger deluxe but didn't take a photo.

Great food and great service. Very clean. We stop when in the area. Good portion sizes.

Mushroom, Spinach & Cheddar Quiche

For the past 20+ years, I have been obsessed with the Americana Diner, especially their Mushroom, Spinach & Cheddar Quiche! I recently had the pleasure of speaking with the awesome new owner, Taki, who generously, at my request, preordered an entire quiche for me & let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazingly fresh & utterly delicious! I definitely look forward to ordering another in the near future, as well as, exploring their fabulous new menu!

The food has improved under the new management 100%. The atmosphere and staff are friendly and professional. The manager is gracious friendly and runs a tight ship, and caters to his clients and treats everyone like they are him life long friends. Go check it out. It is the best diner and food in America

THE RUSSIAN. Roast beef, lettuce, tomato, onions, swiss & russian dressing.

Stopped by for lunch with my mom. We wanted hot sandwiches for lunch. We ordered Paninis. THE RUSSIAN: $15.95 Roast Beef, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, Swiss cheese & Russian dressing. The sandwich came with fries, coleslaw & pickle. Delicious! Big portion. Service was courteous. Will definitely come back.

Pancakes. Good texture, not much taste.

Solid New Jersey diner. We went there with the family on a Sunday morning we had the typical breakfast fare. Some eggs, bacon and pancakes. The bacon was great. I hate when it's murdered and falls apart when you take a bite. The pancakes left me missing something. Loved the texture but the flavor was missing something. May salt? Dunno. Service was great as was coffee. No complaints, we go again.

Silver Dollar Pancakes with bacon

Couldn't wait to come back here for breakfast. Feeling like a regular now. Ordered my regular silver dollar pancakes with bacon and they did not disappoint. Beyond delicious! Love it here!!

"Pot Roast" special
Susan M.

This place is so cute. Yes, it is a diner, but it is super nicely kept up and so clean on both the inside and outside. Our server was nice and quirky. Most of us had great meals - highly recommend the pork roll egg and cheese sandwich and the cheesecake. Surprisingly the prime rib special was also a hit. The quantity of food is massive. Overall quite good for a diner. I would give 5 stars if not for the "pot roast" special (picture attached). I have no words.

Prices are reasonable

Rise N Shine Diner - Ham, egg and cheese on a bagel with iced coffee. Yum!

We stumbled upon Rise N Shine Diner completely by accident on our way to the beach. We just needed…read moresomewhere to grab a quick breakfast, but baby... this place ended up becoming part of the itinerary for the NEXT beach trip. We got there early, grabbed seats at the counter, and immediately started chopping it up with the owner about life and everything in between. While we're talking, I'm watching what's happening behind the counter and realizing... wwait. They're making EVERYTHING. Sauces from scratch. Compotes from scratch. Biscuits being made. Cornbread being made for the chili. Nothing felt like "open a package, heat it up and put it on a plate." Then the s'mores pancakes started getting made for another order and THE TORCH CAME OUT. At this point we didn't just get breakfast, we got a show! But let me tell you about these Banana Foster pancakes because THAT is what brought me back. Homemade caramel sauce, freshly sliced bananas, and fluffy pancakes. Not banana flavor. Not banana extract. ACTUAL BANANAS. The bacon was good, the home fries were good, the coffee was good... honestly, everything coming across that counter looked good. I was even peeking at other people's plates like because somebody had what looked like a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, and that cross-section looked CRAZY. I almost ordered one, but I knew I was already doing too much. What also impressed me was how clean and organized everything was. Food was properly stored, labeled and dated, and you could literally watch things being freshly prepared. Their specials seem to be based on what's fresh, in season and what they've made that morning, which makes the experience even better. Fast-forward to our second visit, most recently. Mind you, we're not locals. I'm coming from NYC, so imagine my surprise when THEY REMEMBERED US! That's the kind of hospitality I love about smaller-town establishments. Of course I got those Banana Foster pancakes AGAIN, along with home fries and bacon. We also had an omelet with cheese and caught the homemade biscuits coming out fresh. Once again, everything hit. And the biggest compliment I can give a restaurant is this: I literally factored Rise N Shine into my second beach trip. It went from "let's find somewhere to eat on the way" to "we HAVE to stop at Rise N Shine."

2026 Fall Soups!…read more Last week my hubby and I saw soups listed on the white specials board (propped up on the wall behind the counter) while eating breakfast. When we paid, on our way out, I asked if they were prepared to sell the soup "to go". Yes they are ready with a 12 oz container with a lid. I was also told they would have two soups available each day. So today, 10/4/26, I had hubby pick me up a portion of one of today's specials which was potato soup as a "to go" for my lunch while he was picking up our "to go" breakfasts. Yum! My mom always made a variety of soup when I was a kid and then I made many kinds, for years, for my family of four. Now as an empty nester I am thrilled to find "homemade" soup at the Rise and Shine! As yummy as anything I and my mom cooked but I don't have to do the shopping, cooking and cleanup! The potato soup came with a small bag of oyster crackers which happens to be my favorite soup cracker because it doesn't change the flavor of the soup but does give it an immediate fresh crunch which I enjoy. The potato soup was thick, creamy and filled with chunks of potatoes cut into bite-sized pieces. There was also a handful of shredded, yellow cheddar cheese and crumpled, crispy bacon thrown into the middle of it which when stirred; then swirled throughout making the soup that much more filling and tasty! Well worth trying. I am already looking forward to the Cream of Turkey soup I was told would be one of the specials in November!

After reading the reviews, I wanted to give this place a try. We came here for lunch and managed to…read morefind parking right in the front of the diner, just like in the movies! LOL. We were immediately seated after arriving. The diner is medium in size, with the seats in the front being booths that seat 3-4 guests at a time. However, the booths in the very middle are elevated, so guests need to take a step before sitting. The place follows a light brown color scheme, though the booth cushions are a reddish-burgundy color. Coffee beans sit on a mounted shelf on the wall and mirrors covered in artwork adorn the walls near the front. Regular tables can be seen near the back and counter seating is available as well. We ordered the following: Daughter ordered the Bleu Cheese Burger with tomato and onion and potatoes. She ordered it rare and was disappointed because it came out medium well to well done and it was hard to chew. It's funny how when you order it rare and get it well done! I figure it's because they're worried about cooking it rare and they don't trust their meat. So, she didn't feel like returning it back. It's not the first time and it won't be the last. The burger came with fries and that wasn't expected because the menu said that it came with potatoes. If she knew that she was going to get fries, she said that she would've gotten it well done. Hubs got the Red Bank Diner Omelette with grits and multigrain bread. The omelette came with roasted red peppers, mushrooms, avocado and Swiss cheese. Daughter thought the grits were good. Hubs thought it was nice to see grits for a change but it was a little under seasoned. He liked the mix of vegetables in the omelette but thought it was overcooked and tough. Lastly, I ordered the 2 eggs over easy with English muffin and liked it. This was ok. Service was quick and friendly. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and glad that we got a chance to try to this place!
