Servers were super friendly and they have 2 stories to the building - the music they played made for nice ambiance :) I can't say I have much experience with vegan food - a lot of my previous times trying it had been at Buddhist canteens and they were pretty flavorful! The Mac and cheese was definitely cheesy, but there was something missing with the dish. My favorite part was the roasted broccoli and mushroom. The vegetables were very flavorful and smoky. The cheesecake at first threw us off, but the taste grew on us over time. I'm not sure if I would visit again, but it was a unique experience for us.

One of the best meals I've ever had and I'm not even vegan! So many choices, food was fresh, delicious. Service very friendly, served quickly. And had the pineapple ginger ale, was sooo good! Loved the decor. I'm definitely coming back!

The restaurant has a very cozy ambiance, as well as a friendly and accommodating wait staff. I ordered the Falafull which was filling and flavorful, and the Mackin cheese as a side. The cashew cheese was so good! If I didn't know it was vegan, I would've assumed it was regular Mac n cheese. For dessert we ordered the lemon cheesecake ( which was cashew cheese as well ) . The first bite is perplexing because the texture is a little different to regular cheesecake, but I got used to it pretty quickly! It was sweet and flavorful. I would definitely come back ( as long as New Brunswick parking works in my favor). It was nice as a vegetarian to be able to point at anything on the menu and know I could eat it To the staff- if yall see this please post the playlist you play in the restaurant on Spotify please! The songs were bops!

What an amazing place! I sat at the bar. The two girls that waited me were AWESOME! (Meagan and Zoe) I had the Equilibrium cocktail. Very refreshing. I had the Gyro plate and Mini Mac. Both were equaling great, the mushrooms were tender and flavorful. The Mini Mac was made with large shell pasta and very creamy. I ordered the Lemon Vanilla Cheeze Cake. This will not disappoint! Sorry no pictures of the dessert. Great place I will definitely be back when in town.

What an awesome Vegan menu with mushroom being the highlight . Completely blown away by the inside of this tiny looking restaurant . Starting with a cozy yet spacious bar area as we walked in. Ample seating leading up to a flight of stairs to a airy 2 level dining area . It didn't end there . They have a lovely covered outdoor terrace seating , that makes for a cool spot to spend an afternoon having their one of many interesting drinks or dessert from their interesting menu. Unique decor and lighting . Parking can be a challenge in the New Brunswick area but try going on a weekday lunchtime and it was a breeze . We sat outside in the terrace but as it was windy we moved indoor . Started with the side order of crispy fries and simple salad . Real crispy fries - was a complete let down - very soft oily and not anything close to crispy as described Simple salad - Light , delightful , yummy dressing Curry crusted mushroom Sandwich - could get enough of this scrumptious sandwich. It was a semi cold sandwich with curry flavored fried oyster mushrooms , butternut squash and broccoli . Peculiar combination of flavors but it worked very well and offered an interesting bite Pecan torte - desert is usually the killer highlight at most places and Veganized wasn't an exception. For a totally vegan - Oat Coconut crusted Torte served on a bed of vegan vanilla cream and chocolate sauce , it was extremely addictive and lip smacking good . They are known for their Bananarama which I couldn't try as I was full . Waiting for next time !

It's been a week and I'm still thinking about the burger and sweet potato fries. They were delicious! I went with a couple friends and everyone really enjoyed their meals. My one friend got the spaghetti and neat balls and she didn't like the neatballs, however, she loved the pasta itself. Definitely skip the desserts, we tried all 5 of them and none were really good. The peanut butter chocolate one was the best but still not a re-order worthy.

This place is a little pricey but the staff and quality of food are worth it in my opinion. As a vegetarian it's hard to find places with menus fully without meat. I often find myself having to modify signature dishes to exclude their star ingredient in order to be able to eat it. That's not the case here. The menu is specifically catered towards different types of vegan options. I had the cashew Mac and cheese and really enjoyed it. My friends who eat meat surprisingly also really enjoyed their dishes. The staff really go out of their way to ensure everyone chooses a meal they'll enjoy.

I literally said to myself as I drove around Somerville that I wish there was a wine or cocktail bar for...mature people like myself to chill at. So I looked up wine bars and boom - VintEdge was right down the street. I came in around 9pm, picked a comfy seat by the window, and ordered. Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. Once we figured that out, she got us some food to go and we ate here at home. Verdict: -excellent seating options - stools, couches, chairs -food is so so good. Tartare, truffle fries. Fig jam pizza -drinks include awesome bottles and seasonal takes on old favorites This could be my new spot.

Collectively, we ordered calamari- bland, arancini-delicious, crispy eggplant-bland and dry. I ordered the crab agnolotti which was just, well.... bland. My mom's salmon seemed to be cooked well, we asked for medium and that's what she got. The tiramisu was good, and I am not generally a fan. The mocktail that ordered-basil gimlet was a nice balance of sweet and sour. Overall, really giving it a 3.5 but based upon comparison to my other 4 star ratings, I had to bring it down a bit. Review: Café Faubourg - Montclair…read more Café Faubourg is one of Montclair's true gems--an authentic French bistro that feels as if it were lifted straight from a quiet Parisian street and placed right in the heart of town. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance sets the tone: warm lighting, intimate tables, and that unmistakable bistro charm that makes every meal feel like a small escape. The food is consistently excellent, starting with their hummus, which is surprisingly standout for a French spot. Smooth, flavorful, and beautifully plated, it's the perfect way to begin the meal and pairs wonderfully with their fresh bread. The steak frites is a must-order and easily one of the best in the area. The steak is tender and cooked exactly to preference, richly seasoned without being heavy, and served alongside crisp, golden fries that are everything you want in a classic bistro dish. It's simple, authentic, and prepared with the kind of care that elevates a traditional favorite into something memorable. Service at Café Faubourg is warm and attentive without being intrusive, contributing to the relaxed elegance of the experience. Whether you're dropping in for a casual dinner or celebrating a special occasion, the staff makes you feel welcome and unrushed. For anyone looking for an authentic French bistro experience in Montclair--excellent food, inviting ambiance, and truly charming service--Café Faubourg delivers every time.

During this visit, the plating of some of the dishes was odd, as whomever did it felt the need to position the food right at the edge of the plates. That made it difficult to eat the dishes without some of the food spilling off the side. Had to push everything to center to avoid this. Again, this was very odd, as it happened on two entrees and one dessert dish and was the first time we've seen this at Faubourg. The lamb duo had a fantastic grilled flavor, but part of it (I believe it may have been shank meat) was loaded with so much salt that it overwhelmed the flavors and was a bit difficult to continue eating. The last comment is admittedly nitpicky, but worth mentioning, as they automatically added a 20% gratuity despite the menu stating that 20% is added for parties of 6 or more. We were a party of two and I was a bit annoyed that they did this. The check also had a place for "additional tip", which was a bit presumptuous after adding the 20%. Overall, the experience was positive with a few hiccups that prevent me from giving 5 stars. Still highly recommended.
