Long time Jersey girl, this gem in Edison is worth going to! Finally a place that has a bar, ambiance, and vibe that you can hit up after shopping. We loved all the dishes, notably the vegetarian egg rolls, paneer and chicken tikka masala, chaats, and cocktails! Service was attentive. Definitely would come back .

The food is very good, be forewarned and beware before reserving for a private event. The owner tends to double-book and favors larger parties. Among the best Indian buffets with a diverse selection of Indian dishes with a spicy kick! I was quite impressed by the variety of vegetarian dishes - Panipuri Golgappa, papaya salad, Choola, Saag Paneer, Korma, etc. Of all the dishes, the Paneer Tikka and creamy Malai Kofta were my favorites. The crispy cauliflower and the chow mein noodles were tasty as well. The fresh fluffy Garlic and Butter naan were scrumptious and perfect for mopping up the curry! The fresh juice (I believe watermelon?) was refreshing. Management service is crafty. My uncle reserved the restaurant from 12-3pm for an engagement party of ~25 people 1 month in advance. 2 nights before the event, the manager/owner informed he could only reserve part of the venue from 11:30am-1pm as he was double-booked and there was a much larger party that reserved the larger space from 12-3pm. My uncle got shafted as we received a small section of the venue and it was very tight for 25 people. Lots of elbow rubbing and there wasn't much room to move around. While a couple of us had infants and toddlers, forget about high chairs! There was no room and it was very chaotic. We were quickly rushed out and the buffet apps were served around 12pm and the main lunch buffet was served at 12:15pm and last call for a buffet refill was 12:45pm, it was very poorly timed. Promptly at 1pm, we were shooed out. If you're looking for a good buffet, I would check to see if there's a private event. It's among the best I've had! While the food was tasty, I wouldn't come back based on my experience and dodgy management.

Words can't express how amazing the food, service and ambiance are something we all need to experience! From the decor to menu your senses will be enamored in this quality establishment. The staff treats you like family and are very helpful in ordering. Fresh and unique choices await you! I have been a fan for years~ if you can I suggest calling to make a reservation! Cheers~

The first thing you notice when walking into this restaurant is that it has an elegant yet fun atmosphere. The wall art and table arrangements are beautiful. The colors of the restaurant are vibrant. The music sets an upbeat mood. The service was pretty fast and everyone who approached the table had good etiquette. The food was absolutely delicious. The goat curry and gobi Manchurian was very flavorful and packed good spice. The bread assortment we ordered was also delicious. Would recommend trying the bullet naan. The only reason for the 4 star review was the cocktails looked elegant in presentation but were too strong-- the alcohol overpowered the other flavors. Otherwise everything was good. I would definitely come here again.

Dining was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance set the stage for a memorable evening. The menu was a testament to culinary creativity, with each dish artfully crafted. Service was impeccable, with a knowledgeable staff that catered to our every need. The drink selection was extensive, and the sommelier's recommendations were spot-on. I opt'd in for Guava Margarita, you can't go wrong with these basic drinks. Clove's dinner dishes exceeded expectations with its outstanding taste. Though it was spicy, so go with mild or even lower. Food was a lot so we didn't get chance to eat dessert.

Ended up having my first Indian meal here and it was outstanding. Food: with my wife and two friends we ended up getting a little bit of everything. We ordered Chicken biryani, chili paneer, garlic naan, some sort of vegetable ball, chickpeas w/ spinach, and we were given this complimentary chips with tamarind sauce + mint chutney (fell in love with the tamarind sauce). Aesthetic: gorgeous, well-maintained place. Everything was clean and nicely done. Service: I was a little disappointed with the service however, which is why I gave it 4 stars. The service weren't particularly polite at times and even though they brought the food out well, we had to pull them aside for multiple small things.

The food here at clove 12 was quite delicious. The service was excellent . We felt welcomed. If you don't know a lot about Indian food don't worry someone is there to explain to you what's in the Buffet - overall from food to service to ambience it was wonderful. We will definitely be going back. We actually popped into their other restaurant which is an all veggie restaurant and the manager was lovely enough to walk us over to Clove 12. Totally worth it you should go.

Great food, love the ambiance with the live music. The staff is very nice. The wine and beer were okay. I would skip the drinks next time but overall had a great experience. The schezwan rice was some of the best I have had. The noodles were not that great. The avocado Chaat was delicious.

This spot opened up in the same spot of a prior existing restaurant. It was cute inside but not sure if that was inherited decor from previous restaurant. The menu has fusion options which is what makes this spot intriguing and a decent cocktail list for an Indian restaurant in the area. We ordered the avocado chat and chicken tikka or appetizer. The concept of avocado chat was unique but it needed little more pomegranate and little more flavor. The chicken tikka was flavorful however it could have used a little bit more heat to make it little spicy. For main course we ordered paneer tikka masala, veggie manchurian, chili cheese naan, and chicken seekh kebab. The veg manchurian was tasty and really spicy but you couldn't stop eating it. I definitely was sweating after eating some. The chicken seekh kabob was pleasant and they flame the sizzler at the table but it could have used cilantro chutney for dipping purposes. The chili cheese naan was hot and fresh. I thought the paneer tikka masala was mediocre. For cocktails we ordered the mango mule, hibiscus margarita and dragon fruit margarita for which we all enjoyed our drinks. The did have some interesting items on menu that we didn't try such as makhani burrata and fusion tacos. The service was slow as they had limited waiters so we definitely had to get the waiter attention as more people came in however it wasn't fully pact. They do have two credit card limitations for paying the bill. Apparently they prefer tips in cash as we were asked if we had cash available for the tip portion.

Very tasty flavorful food, beautiful plating, not too spicy but you can ask for more hot sauce. They had live music on a Wednesday. The service was really good, but it was busy when I came in. Good vibes! I'll be back because I want to try more of their food options

We came here for dinner twice since it was such a great find! Pros: + Great mix of foods/dishes + Love the indo-chinese options as well + Plenty of parking in their own lot, can find a few spots in nearby neighborhoods if there isn't enough space + Staff is extremely friendly + Great cocktails and mock-cocktails alike Cons: - Food can be extremely spicy even if you order medium. I love spicy food and the medium set my mouth on fire. So make sure you double check the spice level with them

Excellent food and very reasonably priced. This spot has a massive menu, so take your time looking. The menu is predominantly north Indian cuisine but also has some Indo-Chinese and Mexican fusion dishes. We got the chicken seekh kebab, papdi chaat, paneer makhani, and hakka veggie noodles. The kebab was one of the best I've had -- the meat was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly! So soft and a good portion, too. The paneer makhani was also fantastic. The hakka veggie noodles were decent but lacked some flavor; they were served with some sauces which made them better, though! The service was also a bit slow - not sure if it was just a busy night but we did have to wave down a server to be helped every time we wanted to order or needed something. Overall I'll definitely be coming back to try some more dishes and the drinks as well!

A friend of mine and I got together and met for dinner. I made reservations for 6pm and when I arrived I parked in their well lit parking lot. I walked in and asked for the manager that I have been communicating with and he was so gracious. We were sat at a table and our server was Navila and she was cool. Only issue was at times she was MIA and I think it was because she was new, but the other servers checked in on us frequently which was appreciated. We started with our drinks and I got the merlot and my friend got a mango mule which she really liked. While we drank the chef came out and introduced himself. He was so young and knew his stuff. This restaurant has a Mexican menu with an Indian twist. So my friend ordered the chicken quesadilla and I ordered the kadai chicken. The kadai chicken was so spicy but it was good. My friend enjoyed her chicken quesadillas. The naan that we ordered was so good and fluffy. All in all we had a really good time and would recommend this place to anyone.

From what I've heard, it usually gets packed during peak sports seasons--but we happened to hit a lull (post-football, pre-baseball, and no major games on), so we basically had the place to ourselves. That actually worked in our favor--the quieter atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy conversation without the usual sports bar chaos. Drinks were a highlight. I went with the sangria, which was refreshing and well-balanced. Instead of ordering full entrees, we decided to share a bunch of appetizers. Everything that came out looked great, and everyone in the group seemed really happy with the flavors. As someone with a gluten allergy, though, I was pretty limited in what I could order. The ribs ended up being one of my only real options--but thankfully, they were tender, flavorful, and definitely the standout for me. Still, I do wish there were more gluten-free choices, especially since we were there to celebrate and share food. One thing that stood out (in a not-so-great way) was that we felt a bit rushed toward the end of the meal. We didn't even get the chance to order a birthday dessert, which was disappointing given the occasion, but seeing since it was only our group there I'm sure they were ready to close and go home. Service overall was attentive and friendly while we were dining, so no complaints there otherwise. It was winter when we visited, but I can see this being a great spot in warmer months--the outdoor seating looks like it would really add to the experience. Parking was easy on a Sunday night, and they do have a lot, but make sure to read the signs carefully since some spots are reserved for the theater next door. Overall it has a great vibe, solid drinks, and food that people clearly enjoy--I just wish there were more gluten-free options so I didn't leave still a little hungry.
