PROs- very good taste , very good pricing CONs- location , no meat restaurant, ambience We went to Rutgers and was looking for a good restaurant and came across this restaurant.. had good google reviews and wanted to try it . Location wise it was ok. Lots of parking outside . Few other shops nearby . Service was good . Just that the whole restaurant was a bit cramped . Not much of space and ambience was average . Good was very good though. It's an only veg restaurant! No chicken , no meat . !! We were 8 and ordered many stuff .. overall quality of the food was good. Thai fried rice , drunken noodle , pad thai ,... etc was very good .. they charge 0.5 cents for hot sauce which was a bit wierd ! Never seen any restaurants charging money for a sauce ... kids liked the food though. Wanted to give 3.5 stars but gave it a 4 ! Good experience overall.

Our veggie friends discovered this place on Google and were stoked to find a safe restaurant for their dietary needs. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, but I can get down on some tofu and meat substitutes, so we gave it a try. There are NO MEAT DISHES at this restaurant. It's located in a large strip mall with a dozen or more other businesses. There is plenty of parking. There's not much to the place -- it's pretty open with lots of tables for four. Once we ordered, food came up quickly. A friend got a meat-substitute dish, which was excellent. I believe it was imitating duck. She had the winner of the table. I ordered the Massaman curry based on the description, never having tried it before. I asked for my tofu to be fried. The tofu itself was very flat/soft (not firm at all) and wasn't very fried. The Massaman curry was NOT for me. It's very sour -- I should have Googled the dish before ordering. But read the description of the dish and you may understand why I thought it'd just be a normal curry dish. I only took a couple bites. The server didn't question why I didn't eat my food, which is always a bummer. Everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their food, though we all agreed they should use a more firm tofu. Service was friendly but very lackadaisical. We waited quite a while to order drinks, then apps and meals, then to get our bill. At the end of our meal, we waited around, staring longingly at the server to notice and give us our bill. He was sitting nearby but playing on his phone and not being attentive to customers. Overall, probably a decent place if you don't eat meat and don't mind squishy tofu, though I'd recommend everyone splurge for the duck substitute meal!

Ignore the naysayers. Ive been going here since 11/2021. So thats about three years now. I wont stop going because of some guy saying they had chicken the previous year. That is BS. They've been vegan/veg for longer than that. And someone complaining about having a bad bobba tea experience and giving a 1 star review. Please, act like a grown up and kindly tell them to make you a new one in person while dining in or from call from home. I am sure they will work with you. Grow up. I've must have ordered from here over fifty times already and you know what? They NEVER got an order wrong. I cant say the same for any other place where I have ordered takeout. With other places there was always something missing or it was not prepared as ordered or given the completely wrong dish. You tell me if they don't pay attention to detail here. So they are all fake accounts with bad intentions, liars or children.

My wife chose this place for my birthday lunch and boy did we find ourselves a vegan gem hidden in Piscataway! This is a very quaint place that has ample parking. We reached early for lunch time and the restaurant was hardly full. We ordered the Tofu triangles, vegetable satay, vegetable cashew nut, pineapple fried rice and honey banana. The taste was outstanding and the quantity was quite full for three people. The person who attended us took care of the checkout too. We'll return to this place to try out the other items on the menu.

A solid Thai restaurant in a strip mall. It is vegetarian and I hadn't had vegetarian Thai food previously. Lighting is a bit fun and layout feels quite open. I got a mildly spicy pad Thai with protein patties. The dish was kinda saucy and noodles were a little chewy. Protein patties kinda had the consistency of tempura (not fried) and were pretty good. Good, not great and fairly inexpensive at $15. Got a green tea bag, which was serviceable. Food came out quickly and my server was friendly.

SO upset!! As you can see ive checked in to this restaurant over 10 times, ive eaten here almost 3 times a week for the past 2 months. Today my thai iced bubble tea had AWFUL boba, SO HARD AND CHEWY- never had this problem before. I called the restaurant to let them know, usually they are so nice but they didnt seem to even care they just said thanks for letting us know and hung up.. very weird and they have unfortunately lost a VERY loyal customer :(

Lad na, papaya salad, Tom yum soup

Authentic vegetarian/vegan Thai. Try the lad na, you won't regret it. The portions are small, but your taste buds will leave pleased. The papaya salad needed more papaya, there was more ice berg lettuce than papaya, especially for $9.

Except oysters. I don't vibe with oysters. But oyster MUSHROOMS?!?! Hey-yooooooo. Our party of 6 posted up at a table by the window and went hamm (get it vegan ham) on apps and entrees. The oyster mushroom chikn tendies were phenomenal. Legit tasted like kfc. I had the Barbie-Que sandwich that was drool worthy. Pasta and neat balls and mash n gravy were satisfying bites too. They have an extensive bar but as I was on my friend's dad's dime, I acted like I had home training and didn't run up the check. I had no idea an actual vegan restaurant - as opposed to a fast casual - was in our midst. I'll definitely get back!

I order a few items and was disappointed by all of them unfortunately. * Raw-violi (pickled and brined beet slices, cashew macadamia nut cheese, pesto, and saffron cream, 1 star off): the beet slices were too salty; the cashew macadamia nut cheese did not taste like cheese, but more like ground up nuts; I did like their saffron cream sauce...not sure how it went with the beets and nuts, but it tasted good on its own * Mackin cheese (elbow pasta with sweet potato truffle cream cheese, 1 star off): I could taste the sweet potato, but there was no truffle flavor * Mash-n-gravy (crusted tempeh, truffle mashed potatoes, kale, carrots, and gravy, 1 star off): I have had good tempeh before, but the tempeh here was a salty, compacted soybean; again, there was no truffle flavor in the mashed potatoes; the entire dish was a goopy mess * Bananarama (banana cake, blueberry compote, and mango-vanilla sauce, 1 star off): the cake was dry and tasted like a day or two old; I did like the mango-vanilla sauce though It is sad that the condiments or sauces used for the dishes were the best part of the meal. We ordered cauliflower wings and one empanada as apps and a kid's chkn tenders along with a bakon burger (sub chkn) for our mains. It took 28 minutes before we saw any food. The cauliflower wings were large and def made with fresh cauliflower (with that familiar raw crunch). The batter was raw inside- my guess is the oil temp was high so the outside cooked fast but left a lot of mush inside. The empanada was okay, very light on the filling. Another 19 minutes go by before the kid's chikn tenders come out. Apparently the cook is new and messed up on the bakon burger forgetting to sub the chkn so had to wait yet another 7 minutes for that. Chkn tenders were pretty much the gardein seven grain product and the kiddo seemed to be pleased. The bakon burger, when it finally arrived was a huge disappointment. The bottom bun was dry and hard. It would clank when I tapped it against the plate. There were a few drops of mayo in the middle leaving the entire sandwich dry with a cold slice of cheese- no attempts at melting. I did provide this feedback to our server, who was polite and even went to the back potentially to see if an accommodation could be made. However, none were made and we walked away knowing this was a one and done restaurant.

The decor is cute- kind of a botanical theme, I loved the green velvet chairs. We came around opening time but the place was freezing. The waiter that was there mentioned the heater has been broken for awhile, he did get us a space heater which helped take the edge off but it was a freezing windy day so those of us a little further from the heater remained quite chilled. Pros- -Hands down the selection of juices were my favorite part. It's so hard to find Tamarind and Soursop juices outside of major cities. -The mofonguitos were delicious, lots of flavor and texture, I shared with my group and everyone really enjoyed it. The meat was not missed and I was pleasantly surprised the quinoa worked so well here. -My son didn't seem to notice or mind that the chick'n tenders weren't really the chicken he is used to -Many options that you cannot always easily find when looking for vegan cuisine Cons- -It's the type of place where it's unclear what is supposed to occur, does the waiter come to you or do you order at the front desk (same for paying, we ended up going up there in the end to pay)? There is a refrigerator of drinks that is customer facing and in the dining room so we grabbed some drinks while we waited for the waiter to come take our order, but when he came he seemed confused as to why we got our own drinks. I hate when places are confusing like this, I think it's meant to feel relaxed but it does the opposite and makes me anxious and uncomfortable. - I wasn't asked nor given sauce for the cauliflower wings. By the time we were checked on it was too late to ask because most of them were eaten. It's a shame because they had a nice crispy outside and probably would have been really tasty with sauce. -my rice and beans were surprisingly bland and didn't seem worth the money as I could have similar at home or for less. Overall I'm glad this place is here and with a few minor tweaks it really could be great.

It was a risk, because you know how vegetarians can get about cheese (I'm vegan now. When I used to be vegetarian, I'd get annoyed if a meal didn't have cheese in it, or if it had vegan cheese. I've noticed that a lot of my currently vegetarian friends are the same.) , but I figured that he would be cool about it, because he knew that there wasn't much else in the area that I could eat that had a/c. I love my city, but the restaurants need to get their a/c game in order. This is a slightly elevated burger joint. The options are meant to be on the healthier side, so they do stuff like sweet potato fries or a side salad with the burgers instead of potato fries. Here's my tip: get the salad. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how much flavour they can pack into a small but mighty green salad with some dressing on the side. It'll mean that you can avoid eating sweet potatoes (unless you like sweet potato, in which case, you're at the right place). That said, the side salad was excellent. Crisp greens, and a few bonus veg, with a creamy tasting dressing. No complaints, 5 stars. My friend got the black bean burger, and I got the chickpea burger. We got the burgers exactly a said on the menu with no customisation. This was a very VERY good choice. The chefs at Brick City Vegan know what they're doing, and they absolutely season the heck out of the food. Everything tasted so good, and the table fell silent as we demolished the food in front of us in the cool a/c. There was a napkin dispenser on the table, which you will need, because the burgers are generously sauced, and a bit of a mess to eat. Who cares? The food is incredible, and just the right amount of filling. Both of us ate every last morsel, and left feeling satisfied. For both of our burgers, I think it was less than $30 grand total after taxes. Not the cheapest meal, but certainly not at all expensive by vegan standards.
