Always lovely orchids on the tables.

The Cafe really bookends a trip to Duke Farms... You could arrive early for breakfast before taking your walk or bike ride through the park. If you time it right, you'll be back to the Cafe for a well earned lunch. The menu has been updated recently, so not so scattered. My new favorite is the Avocado and Tomato sandwich. Comes with arugula and pickled onions, but I have them skip the arugula. Special orders do not upset them. Good selection of drinks, including coffees, and if you aren't there for a meal there's always plenty of baked goods or sweet/salty stuff for snacking. Staff has always been friendly, as with all the staff at the Farm. So what are you waiting for?

No reviews for this place until now? It's time to respectfully change that! Do you know when you decide to pay exorbitant prices for low quality food at a messy eatery inside an over-hyped tourist attraction and be disappointed in the end? Well, don't expect to run into that experience here! The cafe is located inside the Orientation Center. They have a huge area of tables and chairs. Each table had a flower placed in the middle, which was cool. In the back, they have an area with a coffee table (also with a flower on top) and sofas with comfy chairs. Adult contemporary music played in the background at a low volume. They served sodas and bottles of water in the cooler, a limited amount of kettle-cooked potato chip bags from a shelf near the tablet cash register, and hot coffee from a pot. They even had a water bottle refill area for those who brought their own water in to drink with their purchased meals, which was a HUGE plus. Of course, we can't forget about their main focus - FOOD. From their chilled "Grab and Go" rack, freshly prepared salads and wraps were present. For those who wanted hot food, they served a limited selection of paninis and soups. We bought some items from the "Grab and Go" rack. We got two Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Wraps (in one package), and a Apple Pecan Salad With Grilled Chicken Breast to share. We also got a bag of premium kettle potato chips with sea salt to share. Once we got them and paid, we proceeded to enjoy. The Kettle Potato Chips were very crispy, and the sea salt made the taste even better. This was really good. The Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Wrap contained slices of white meat chicken, pieces of dried cranberries, slices of walnuts, some lettuce, and celery, combined with a cider vinegar dressing in a whole wheat wrap. The meat was white and tender, the lettuce wasn't wilted, and the dressing had a unique flavor. This tasted fresh and delicious, and was quite filling. I highly recommend this to anyone who's craving a good wrap. The Apple Pecan Salad With Grilled Chicken Breast contained Organic Gala Apple slices, pecans, bleu cheese crumbles & dried cranberry pieces over organic field greens. The Balsamic Dressing was included separately (which I didn't care about). Based on some of the ingredients, I could see why the price was a little high. This was due to the bleu cheese crumbles and the organic ingredients utilized for this salad. But this was totally worth it. The lettuce was crisp, the cheese tasted great, and the apple slices were very refreshing. The pecans and dried cranberry pieces made the taste even better. The grilled chicken breast was tender and juicy. Just like the salad wrap, all of this appeared and tasted fresh. I highly recommend this to anyone who's craving something healthy for lunch. The service here was excellent. All of the employees had a pleasant attitude. When we asked for another container of salad dressing to take home, the manager happily gave one to us. Earlier, we asked for a little sample of the soup of the day, and he provided us one too. Even though we appreciated that, we still opted for the items from the "Grab and Go" rack. The entire cafe appeared to be clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Overall this was an excellent experience. Because of this place, there was no need for us to look somewhere else to eat along the US-206 corridor. If you ever feel like supporting Duke Farms, yet feeling hungry at the same time for some great food, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here. Cheers! :)

Wow. After a GREAT morning at Duke Farms (our first trip .. and we'll be back!!), I wanted to try lunch at the cafe located in the Orientation Center. The food was great as were the people working there. Like everything else at Duke Farms, the cafe is done "right". My wife and I split sandwich/salad, which along with lemonade was $21 and worth every penny. Even though we split it, there was plenty of food and it was excellent. The sandwich (turkey, brie, arugula, sliced pear, balsamic glaze) on multi-grain wheat bread was plenty for two of us as was the salad (arugula, blue cheese, pecans and blueberries. The blueberries were SO fresh. When I asked about them I found they were grown from their gardens outside the door of the cafe. To top it off, our table was centered by a beautiful orchid, which I imagine came directly from the Duke Farms' fabulous Orchid Range. The cafe is super-eco-friendly which we also appreciated. Even their plates and utensils are decomposable. If you don't have time to explore Duke Farms, still stop by as the cafe is worth your visit!

Wonderful farm-to -table cafe. Very green, with recyclable paper plates and a compost bin for compostables. Deeeelicious.

    Beautiful and healthy cafe!

Amazing cafe and espresso. This site has so much history, 2700+ acres to get outside, get into their educational center too.

Today is the first day that I can remember that I actually threw a way my drink because I just couldn't finish it. It was extremely bad. I kept giving it a chance. Stirring it. Shaking it... I just couldn't. It was a pistachio iced latte. Now I don't know if something was spoiled... I cannot see that being the case, because I had oat milk. Maybe the coffee wasn't fresh? I don't know but if you go through my reviews, you can see I rarely leave negative feedback I just hate to do that... I just couldn't let this one slide. Ambience is nice. They had the door open, which I didn't stay inside because it was too warm in there. There's outdoor seating as well. The staff were eh, one guy seemed like he was in a good mood there... they others must not have wanted to be there (which I could understand)

What we ordered: - Strawberry Matcha Latte - Pandan Macaron We enjoyed both of our items. The service was interesting. I can't say that it's quite a negative or a positive. Since it was our first time there, we took some time to look at the menu and came with questions when we ordered. I saw that they have a matcha latte on the menu but nowhere did I see any specials or what syrups could be added to the matcha. Because of this, I asked the person checking us out if they had any syrups and if they could be added to the drinks. He listed off the syrups (vanilla, hazelnut, etc) and also included a "strawberry puree" in the list. So I considered that and said I would order it with the strawberry puree. The woman who was making the drinks beside him then said something along the lines of "so you're ordering a strawberry matcha latte". Like I was suppose to know that and order that way. I responded "yeah, I guess so but is that on the menu because I don't see it". Then she confirmed it's not on the menu. I didn't know if it would cost more or if it wasn't suppose to be included as a syrup or if she was training him. It was just an odd interaction rubbed me the wrong way though and left an uncomfortable feeling for me. We were going to enjoy our stuff there but after that we decided to take it to go. I'm not sure if I will return as it is not a local spot for us and we made a special visit out there to try it. My drink was good and the macaron was also yummy. I would recommend it regardless because their stuff is good and my interaction could just be a one off.

Their menu features some really cool options, and their specialty drinks are clearly fan favorites. I couldn't decide between the coconut ube latte and the guava matcha latte, but I went with the latter and was thoroughly pleased! It had the perfect blend of tropical fruity flavor from the guava, and the matcha was spot on since it was smooth and not at all grassy. Best coffee in downtown Somerville!…read more Ambee's coffee is consistently excellent, and they make a cappuccino the way it should be. Perfectly balanced and not too much milk. It's one of those places where you know exactly what you're going to get every time, and the quality never disappoints. Their baked goods are also delicious. They have some of the best gluten-free cookies I've found at a coffee shop. I also tried the gluten-free scone--it was good, though I'd definitely recommend having it warmed up. The cookies are still my favorite GF option. The café itself is cute, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It has a fun, trendy atmosphere, although it can get pretty busy and loud during peak hours, so it isn't always the ideal place if you're looking for a quiet spot to work. I also have to give credit to their branding and marketing. Their social media is genuinely some of the best I've seen from a local business. The photography, videos, and product launches are always beautifully done, and even the coffee cup design is stylish and instantly recognizable. It's clear they put a lot of thought into every aspect of the customer experience. I've also been to their Warren location, which is just as good. It feels a bit larger and more spacious while maintaining the same great coffee and welcoming vibe. I've heard they're opening a location in Flemington, and I'm so excited! If it's anything like their Somerville and Warren cafés, it'll be a fantastic addition to the area.

Pretty homey feel when you walk into the store. There was a cute selfie wall when you walk to the register. The menu is pretty extensive. I debated getting a drink but was so full from lunch that I got a box of the ube crinkle instead. My husband did order an ube shake for him and my son, so the three of us shared. First I noticed that people don't come here for one drink- people leave with 4-5! Everything looked so good coming out that I couldn't wait to try my husband's shake. Staff was friendly and place was clean! They did have those floor fans going on which I assume was to try the wet footprints from the melting snow outside, so I think that made the restaurant louder the it is. The ube shake was delicious! It was a little hard to drink at first because it was made pretty icy. I'd prefer mine to be a little smoother, but not a huge thing since it'll just melt. My 5 year old LOVED the "ice cream". He drank a good amount which was shocking. I had the ube crinkle when I got home and it was SO good. It was the perfect softness and it wasn't overly powered on top. I ended up eating a second one, which I normally would never do but I couldn't help myself! It wasn't overly sweet or coated with powder and the softness just made it that much better. Would I come back? I would if I happen to be in the area, I will definitely stop by to try the rest of their cakes/drinks!
