Always lovely orchids on the tables.

The Cafe really bookends a trip to Duke Farms... You could arrive early for breakfast before taking your walk or bike ride through the park. If you time it right, you'll be back to the Cafe for a well earned lunch. The menu has been updated recently, so not so scattered. My new favorite is the Avocado and Tomato sandwich. Comes with arugula and pickled onions, but I have them skip the arugula. Special orders do not upset them. Good selection of drinks, including coffees, and if you aren't there for a meal there's always plenty of baked goods or sweet/salty stuff for snacking. Staff has always been friendly, as with all the staff at the Farm. So what are you waiting for?

No reviews for this place until now? It's time to respectfully change that! Do you know when you decide to pay exorbitant prices for low quality food at a messy eatery inside an over-hyped tourist attraction and be disappointed in the end? Well, don't expect to run into that experience here! The cafe is located inside the Orientation Center. They have a huge area of tables and chairs. Each table had a flower placed in the middle, which was cool. In the back, they have an area with a coffee table (also with a flower on top) and sofas with comfy chairs. Adult contemporary music played in the background at a low volume. They served sodas and bottles of water in the cooler, a limited amount of kettle-cooked potato chip bags from a shelf near the tablet cash register, and hot coffee from a pot. They even had a water bottle refill area for those who brought their own water in to drink with their purchased meals, which was a HUGE plus. Of course, we can't forget about their main focus - FOOD. From their chilled "Grab and Go" rack, freshly prepared salads and wraps were present. For those who wanted hot food, they served a limited selection of paninis and soups. We bought some items from the "Grab and Go" rack. We got two Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Wraps (in one package), and a Apple Pecan Salad With Grilled Chicken Breast to share. We also got a bag of premium kettle potato chips with sea salt to share. Once we got them and paid, we proceeded to enjoy. The Kettle Potato Chips were very crispy, and the sea salt made the taste even better. This was really good. The Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Wrap contained slices of white meat chicken, pieces of dried cranberries, slices of walnuts, some lettuce, and celery, combined with a cider vinegar dressing in a whole wheat wrap. The meat was white and tender, the lettuce wasn't wilted, and the dressing had a unique flavor. This tasted fresh and delicious, and was quite filling. I highly recommend this to anyone who's craving a good wrap. The Apple Pecan Salad With Grilled Chicken Breast contained Organic Gala Apple slices, pecans, bleu cheese crumbles & dried cranberry pieces over organic field greens. The Balsamic Dressing was included separately (which I didn't care about). Based on some of the ingredients, I could see why the price was a little high. This was due to the bleu cheese crumbles and the organic ingredients utilized for this salad. But this was totally worth it. The lettuce was crisp, the cheese tasted great, and the apple slices were very refreshing. The pecans and dried cranberry pieces made the taste even better. The grilled chicken breast was tender and juicy. Just like the salad wrap, all of this appeared and tasted fresh. I highly recommend this to anyone who's craving something healthy for lunch. The service here was excellent. All of the employees had a pleasant attitude. When we asked for another container of salad dressing to take home, the manager happily gave one to us. Earlier, we asked for a little sample of the soup of the day, and he provided us one too. Even though we appreciated that, we still opted for the items from the "Grab and Go" rack. The entire cafe appeared to be clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Overall this was an excellent experience. Because of this place, there was no need for us to look somewhere else to eat along the US-206 corridor. If you ever feel like supporting Duke Farms, yet feeling hungry at the same time for some great food, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here. Cheers! :)

Wow. After a GREAT morning at Duke Farms (our first trip .. and we'll be back!!), I wanted to try lunch at the cafe located in the Orientation Center. The food was great as were the people working there. Like everything else at Duke Farms, the cafe is done "right". My wife and I split sandwich/salad, which along with lemonade was $21 and worth every penny. Even though we split it, there was plenty of food and it was excellent. The sandwich (turkey, brie, arugula, sliced pear, balsamic glaze) on multi-grain wheat bread was plenty for two of us as was the salad (arugula, blue cheese, pecans and blueberries. The blueberries were SO fresh. When I asked about them I found they were grown from their gardens outside the door of the cafe. To top it off, our table was centered by a beautiful orchid, which I imagine came directly from the Duke Farms' fabulous Orchid Range. The cafe is super-eco-friendly which we also appreciated. Even their plates and utensils are decomposable. If you don't have time to explore Duke Farms, still stop by as the cafe is worth your visit!

Wonderful farm-to -table cafe. Very green, with recyclable paper plates and a compost bin for compostables. Deeeelicious.

    Beautiful and healthy cafe!

Amazing cafe and espresso. This site has so much history, 2700+ acres to get outside, get into their educational center too.

    The patio is sunny!

And since most of my work is remote, I get to find and try a lot of really wonderful cafes. Eminato popped up on Yelp while hunting for a coffee shop in the are and since then, I've been back a few times for the simple, clean & airy atmosphere as well as the good coffee. They are located in a strip mall, right next to a CVS, so parking is plentiful and easy. There were plenty of tables (about 8 or so) & strong wifi, so if you also plan to whip out your laptop and get work done, this is a good choice. There was even a table or two outside. The baristas were all super friendly and quick to bring out your order or clean a table. And the coffee! Lattes have always been good and, while I wish they were served hotter, they are for sure something I will be back to order again. In addition to coffees, they also have a big tea and boba menu. Unfortunatley, they have a very limited food menu, only serving things like scones, muffins, macarons and ham and cheese croissants. I will be back!

I wanted to try this a few months ago but they had closed already so I'm glad I was able to try it…read morethis time. Being married to a Filipino, you gotta try Ube! Pretty homey feel when you walk into the store. There was a cute selfie wall when you walk to the register. The menu is pretty extensive. I debated getting a drink but was so full from lunch that I got a box of the ube crinkle instead. My husband did order an ube shake for him and my son, so the three of us shared. First I noticed that people don't come here for one drink- people leave with 4-5! Everything looked so good coming out that I couldn't wait to try my husband's shake. Staff was friendly and place was clean! They did have those floor fans going on which I assume was to try the wet footprints from the melting snow outside, so I think that made the restaurant louder the it is. The ube shake was delicious! It was a little hard to drink at first because it was made pretty icy. I'd prefer mine to be a little smoother, but not a huge thing since it'll just melt. My 5 year old LOVED the "ice cream". He drank a good amount which was shocking. I had the ube crinkle when I got home and it was SO good. It was the perfect softness and it wasn't overly powered on top. I ended up eating a second one, which I normally would never do but I couldn't help myself! It wasn't overly sweet or coated with powder and the softness just made it that much better. Would I come back? I would if I happen to be in the area, I will definitely stop by to try the rest of their cakes/drinks!

Pssst... want to taste real ube instead of the artificial flavoring? Then look no further than Kafé…read morede Manila. Everything here is lovingly crafted by Kathy, the owner, who makes items from scratch, including their ice cream. You can truly taste the difference: fresh ube, no artificial flavors. Just pure goodness. Kathy and her husband take great pride in their Filipino menu, offering a variety of delightful treats centered around the beloved purple yam. Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is ube, and why is it so popular? Contrary to popular belief, ube isn't a fruit. It's actually a purple sweet potato that's highly sought after in the Philippines. If you love taro, you'll love ube even more. It's a staple in many Filipino desserts and dishes, known for its rich flavor and vibrant color. If you're in search of delectable drinks and cookies, this is your spot. Their signature ube drinks range from floats and lattes to coffees, milk teas, and even ice cream. All with delicious bits of real ube in every sip. Not in the mood for ube? No problem. They offer a wide variety of options, including their Pinoy series, pandan drinks, Milo drinks, matcha, cold brews, and more. And I have to mention, they now serve Vietnamese coffee, Filipino-style. It's pure heaven in a 16 oz cup. The shop itself has great lighting, perfect for IG, Yelp photos, or even vlogging. Just note that seating is very limited.
