    BLT WRAP
    Jamie B.

Grounded for Life is one of my favorite local lunch places. This cafe has excellent options, particularly for those who are vegan and/or gluten free, or simply looking for healthy options. My personal favorites are the BLT wrap with chipotle aioli, and the Live On green juice (apple, kale, celery, ginger, and lemon). All of the smoothies and juices are delicious and fresh. I've always loved the BLT wrap so much that I've actually never tried anything else on the food menu! The prices are fair, with plenty of food options under $10. Most of the wraps are around $10, and the juices and smoothies are around $6-9. The restaurant atmosphere is cute and casual, perfect for a quick and healthy breakfast or lunch. The service is excellent and quick. They also offer local delivery on apps such as DoorDash. Clinton was in need of vegan options for a while, so I was so thrilled when Grounded for Life opened! I highly recommend.

Amazing vegan food. The Setanta used for steak is shaved thin and marinaded in secret home marinade. The bawl I had ( Seitan Lovers Bowl) was tasty and well balanced. The Aioli complimented it well. I wanted more when I finished my bowl. The sandwiches are offered on chiabata bread. The cheese stake was sublime, but prepare for a sloppy meal. Everything was supper fresh. The owner was very friendly and informative. You could truly say they prepare and serve each meal with love! Tge outdoor seating is perfect for a nice springy day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The indoors sitting area is small, but there are a few tables there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pleasant atmosphere with subdued music in background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Visited this restaurant when I was in the area and I enjoyed my meal . The employee " forgot her name" was very helpful with a nice personality . I ordered the bacon cheese burger and the " boost" juice . My meal was $25 which is pricey for 2 items but that is expected for vegan food .

Tip: there is parking in the lot that says private parking right next to it. Stopped here because of the menu and reviews I saw. I was passing by and was hungry. I got the chickpea wrap - very good the capers added great flavor. Everything was fresh. There was a guy there that raves about his black bean burger. I also tried the smoothie and recommend the chocolate milk with vegan protein. All the ingredients here is what I love and the way the food taste. It is made fresh. They also have cupcakes and brownies that are vegan and some Gluten free. Service was good also.

It's fun exploring new places and I'm so glad to have found this gem. Quirky small place that ticks all boxes. It has reserved parking, limited indoor but good amount of outdoor seating . It's raining so I sat inside and experienced such a personalized service. The menu is a dream some true with options ranging from wrap, breakfast bowl, burger, smoothie and cold pressed juice and coffee. I ordered coffee with coconut milk and Taco breakfast bowl. The bowl is so flavorful and ingredients so fresh. I can see it has spinach, salsa , vegan egg and tempeh served with whole grain bread. Omg! It's perfect . Now this is going to be my coffee and lunch when visiting Clinton , NJ and waiting to get Suresh here !

So much great vegan food! This was a great stop after going on a hike near by. So many different options it was actually difficult for me to choose. Also all the baked goods looked delicious. Service was great, everyone was super friendly and inviting. The area surrounding it is also really cute. Near a bunch of shops and places to walk around on a nice day. Definitely recommend visiting!

    Seitan bowl

I happen to have found this little gem while visiting The Blue Army shrine. I orered the Seitan bowl and it was absolutely delish! Not knowing what seitan is as I am not vegan although always love to try exploring healthy options. I also ordered lavender latte and added some Matcha powder which was a perfect blend of flavors. The lady behind the counter was super helpful and [[HIGHLIGHT]]cozy brunch/cafe, highly recommended![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Not from around here at all , wanted a little snack after work vibes and saw this vegan spot so why not try it out ! Let me tell how you clean this place is !! And it's just feels cozy and loved I didn't get much but like a said a snack which was avocado toast - power bread , avocado mash , lime juice , olive oil , hemp seeds and cumin salt with my own personal drink of apple, lemon , ginger and cayenne pepper. Sheesh, the toast was so fucking good as well as the drink , and I know jf little snacks are very good I can only imagine how the meals are Anyways come by and see for yourself what is there to lose ? It's healthy at the end of the day ! Thank you guys !

This is no longer "grounded for life" and is no longer vegan. New owner took over the GFL yelp profile and totally changed menu.

This historic location was a rest and play stop for literary and theater New Yorkers in the 20s and 30s and probably beyond -- check out the famous signatures and notes in the albums in the main living room. The owners keep a handful of rescued farm animals (pot-bellied pigs, mini ponies, goats), and it is clear they are well cared for. It is a busy place for big wedding events now, and so we like to stay during the week. It is very relaxing to walk around the grounds. We saw a giant heron in the pond and deer strolling. There are so many nice places to sit outside with a bottle of wine and a book or snacks. Rooms are very unique and comfortable. You have a lot of different personalities to choose from: lofts, cabins, barn spaces, etc. Many have jacuzzis which can provide your evening entertainment, lol. We have not eaten in the restaurant because our top restaurant on earth is very close by, but when it was closed, Josh gave us great recommendations. And he made a lovely tofu scramble for breakfast as a special request. One sweet touch: despite checking the room, we left without my spouse's expensive phone charger. Housekeeping found it and ran after us before we could drive off without it. She did not have to do that. Always tip your housekeeping staff. The extended Covid months have been very hard on inns, restaurants, and event spaces, and it must be stressful for them as things come back to life when so many events have been postponed. It is wonderful to be back out again. We will return -- a lot.

The Barley Sheaf is very serious about pandemic precautions, so masks are in full effect, and they'll walk you to your socially-distanced table in a beautiful, outdoor gardening setting. The inn itself is an architectural delight, as well, so you are surrounded by beauty on all sides. Service was pleasant and forthcoming. I wouldn't say that this is the finest level of dining, of course, you're not expecting EMP in the middle of Bucks County, but this is a good attempt, and people are pleasant and quite dignified. The guests were all well attired and the crowd is polite and kind. Food is of the adventurous character, which I enjoy. A lot of different flavor combinations (they like to do salé and sucré), beautiful plating, interesting textures, and good cooking techniques. My favorites were the octopus appetizer (so buttery soft and tender, which is a rarity) and the pheasant special, which was a pleasant and apropos surprise in this outdoor, country setting. Finally, this is a BYOB restaurant with perfectly selected wine glasses, fine silverware, and other special touches such as a freshly starched linens, etc. which elevate the dining experience.

I grew up down the road in Milford, and our go-to restaurant in Frenchtown was always Napoli by the park, but I'm pretty sure we ended up here once or twice. Honestly? Wasn't the best on our most recent visit, and the sky-high reviews might be the result of an inflated tourist bump. I came here yesterday for lunch with one of my OG chums around 1:30, 2pmish. Despite it being a pretty meh weather day, the town was packed and loud, likely at least partially because Bastille Day was the next day (aka today as I'm writing this) - lot of French flags and perhaps a few more tourists than usual. Frenchtown is always pretty touristy on a summer Saturday though, to be fair. We chose Frenchtown Cafe because Piazzi next door was closed; and for me at least, it was nice to get some indoor seating away from the humidity and the high-decibel concert across the street. My first impressions, which were substantiated throughout our meal, was that there were a few too many tables packed into the restaurant, which I always consider a shameless money grab, especially if it's coming at the expense of the comfort of your customers. If it wasn't NYC-level/bumping up against your neighbor, it was close. And any time you happened to stand up, you had to be very careful/cognizant of your surroundings because more than likely, an employee or other customer was right behind you. In hindsight, would have advocated for the outdoor seating. I wasn't in the mood for a sandwich/melt, so I went with a plain hamburger and fries. Eh. The burger was clearly pre-made/frozen meat, and it was SUPER greasy. My chum got a melt, which was also dripping with grease. Hard to find selling points in your entrees when your paws are covered in a substance that's going to literally congeal into lard at some point if you don't clean them. Hard to pivot, but beyond that, the burger was at least cooked to my specifications (medium rare). The fries were by far the biggest selling point - perfectly crispy, just the way I like it. The service was just okay. Our waitress seemed very nice but wasn't the most attentive and beyond getting the check, never checked in to see how the food was. It WAS busy in there, but the waits for everything were a bit longer than they should have been. I doubt I'll be back any time soon, though I recall a lot of people coming here more for breakfast - that's probably the play if you're set on frequenting what was for us a mediocre establishment.

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

The highlight was definitely the Stuffed French Toast. It looked beautiful, and I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was surprisingly well balanced. The toast was soft with a slightly crispy exterior, and the cream cheese filling paired really well with the strawberry compote. We also ordered the BLT+. The smoked bacon was delicious, but the focaccia was a little too thin and hard, making it harder to eat than I expected. The house-made sausage was good, just not particularly memorable. As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast. There's also parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy.
