I have ordered two different omelettes on two different occasions now: an egg white with spinach and mushroom and a meat lovers. Both were quite overcooked and the meat lovers seemed like a thin sheet of egg that they filled with toppings later on like a crepe. Additionally the meat lovers side of rye toast was obviously burnt but still served to me, I just ate around it for a few bites and gave up. My husband ordered fish and chips the first time - I thought the batter was tasty and enjoyed it though I think the filleting of the actual fish could have been a lot cleaner. This item is the only reason my review is not a one star, I thought it tasted good. The second time he ordered clam chowder and a salad that had chicken, fruit, nuts. The salad was fine nothing wrong but not a stand out either it seemed similar to something I'd get as a salad kit from the store. The clam chowder though was awful, so thick and gelatinous it seemed like it was canned which is already a red flag but one of those canned soups that you're supposed to add water to and like they forgot to do that part. On top of being weirdly thick it was also cold you can tell they didn't heat it thoroughly whether that was in a microwave or not though I can't really tell. I truly don't understand the hype or reviews for this restaurant given we've tried multiple items and for the most part fell flat with the sole exception of the fried fish. I was disappointed given the expectation from other reviews and unfortunately we won't be back for a third try.

It is beyond obvious the amount of time he has spent (and spends) cooking to make his already delicious food even more so using only traditional ingredients from Belgium. I also greatly appreciate all of the attention to detail; especially the quality of the fruit even when it's not in season. Thank you. Furthermore, I love that it's a house. It's quaint and brilliant to start small when starting a new venture. All of the staff was kind and gracious. Thank you again. On a separate note...I am utterly disgusted by the amount of negativity and ugliness in some of these reviews. Yes, we are are all entitled to our opinions. However, when you walk through someone else's front door you are entering the heart and soul of them. It is just sad that some have nothing else to do with their time than to just be negative. I, for one cannot fathom how brave and challenging it is to own a restaurant. I wish that some of the gloomy pessimistic unfavorable weak internet bullies would give it a try. Until then stay in your lane! Cheers for these waffles, kindness & grace.

The walls are filled with music-themed touches, and they host music trivia and other fun events on select days and evenings. There's plenty of seating inside, plus outdoor seating during the warmer months -- with the added bonus of being right on the water. I love the pastel de nata latte, and I appreciate that they offer dairy-free options. They also let you choose between medium or dark roast for your coffee. Today I tried their spring special, the pistachio cannoli latte, and it was delicious. The Portuguese egg tarts are absolutely to die for! On weekdays, they have a wheel at the register that you can spin for free or discounted drinks, and they also offer a punch card loyalty program. I'll definitely be coming back to Elvio's!

The food was mediocre at best. The fig and pig flatbread was good (5/10), not great. It stated it had brisket; if it did it was far and few in between. The omlette sandwich was good (7/10). The star, the pastel de nata (10/10). The cinnamon roll was a cinnamon roll (6/10). Total bill: $45.00. Cost is that you pay. Value is what you get. For me the cost and value do not match here. Will I come back? Possibly, but probably not.

Before we went there we went to dinner and stopped into Mama Lors Nice little restaurant. Kind of a random location too, but for some reason I liked where it was. Liked the outside of it. Reminded me of like restaurants in old ass buildings down in Staten Island. Spent a lot of time down in the city as a kid (family there) and lots of time on Staten Island. We'd always go to Italian restaurants there (even tho we are all Irish lol). This place kind of reminded me of those restaurants. I know, random thoughts to share, but that's immediately what I thought when I pulled up. It's NOT an Italian restaurant tho. It's American food. Burgers, salads, chicken dinners etc. Food was actually really good. Not too crazy overpriced like majority of restaurants these days...like ones that charge $15 for a plain waffle or something and the waffle is next level basic af. At least I'm not bitter lol But yeah, food was very good. The garlic bread...delicious. I have yet to find garlic bread tho that I don't like. Waitress was suuuuuper nice. Every employee we encountered was very nice. Place is big. Plenty of seating and you're not right on top of each other either. There is outdoor seating as well...pretty sure it was closed when we were there? Could be wrong. However, knowing what the weather right now is like back there...yeah, safe to say outdoor seating closed for the season lol. Restaurant is very clean. Nice floors lol. Random again, but I noticed that the second I walked in. I had neverrrr heard of this place until my friend suggested it. She lives in Chile so she's more familiar with the Rochester area. And Williamson, honestly, I forgot that city/town even existed lol. I didn't do any exploring there tho. The restaurant which is actually in Webster and then we headed to the hayride in Williamson...like 10 mins away. Nice place. I'd 100% go again. I'd also for sure recommend it to anyone..especially if they're looking for a nice restaurant that's not insanely expensive and has a really nice atmosphere AND is in a historic building. Ok so maybe in NY, it's not classified as a "historic building" bc most places in NY are historic. I live in Boise, Idaho tho. We have historic buildings here, but NOTHING like NY has. So when I go to an old building like this....IIIIIII classify it as a historic building haha. Thanks for reading, MamaYelperLor's!!!! Check it out! Support a local business! You'll enjoy it. If you don't...you know where to find me....right here on Yelp haha. Cheers!

It was busy (Mother's Day). We ordered coffees first. I got an iced vanilla latte and I really enjoyed it. One of the better latte's I've had in the area. Our waitress was ok, got us everything we needed, but nothing really stood out. The ham and asparagus crepe was enjoyable. I was able to order it gluten free. I found a weird square chunk of some sort of meat that did not resemble ham, so that was a little off putting. They had several gluten free options on the menu which was a big plus. The crepes from the simply strawberry crepes were cold (as if it were made ahead of time). The crispy red potatoes were under salted and bland in my opinion. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. It's not my new go-to spot, but I would come back.

Simply Crepes: A True Five-Star Culinary Experience!…read more Simply Crepes is an absolute gem, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the pride and passion the owner puts into this restaurant--it truly shows in every detail, from the inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service. A special shout-out must go to our server, Morgan, who was fabulous! Morgan was attentive, friendly, and made our entire dining experience seamless and enjoyable. Great service is the cherry on top, and Morgan delivered. But let's talk about the food, because it is simply fabulous! Shrimp and Grits: This dish is a masterpiece. The grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp were plump and flavorful. It's easily one of the best versions I've ever had. Whammy Chicken Sandwich: This is not your average sandwich! Juicy, tender chicken layered with delicious toppings--it lives up to the name and delivers a total flavor "whammy." It's bold, satisfying, and a must-try. Chicken and Crepes: The combination was delicious, but my husband noted one minor preference. We believe the syrup served was a bourbon syrup, which, while unique, he would have preferred a more traditional maple syrup. Still, a high-quality and satisfying dish! Mimosas Flight: The perfect way to start your brunch! The flight offers a fantastic variety of flavors, allowing you to sample and find a new favorite. They were all fresh, bubbly, and beautifully presented. Strawberry Mojito: And speaking of drinks, the strawberry mojito was absolutely delicious! It was perfectly balanced--refreshing, sweet, and minty, making it a perfect complement to the meal. Every dish we tried was executed with skill and high-quality ingredients. This is much more than just a crepe place; it's a destination for outstanding breakfast and lunch fare. If you're looking for incredible food, great drinks, and a place where the owner genuinely cares about your experience, look no further than Simply Crepes. Five stars all the way! We will absolutely be back soon!

I love the atmosphere and the low lighting of this cafe, but was disappointed with their latte selection after being recommended this cafe so many times. I had a toasted coconut latte which was pretty good - but also pretty basic in terms of lattes that I have tried in the Rochester area. For me, this cafe was a one and done - not only because of the coffee, but also because of the service. I felt like the barista was a little rude, which I can consider could just be something personal that the barista was dealing with that day. However, as someone who appreciates good service (or at least someone who is kind), service means a lot to me. Overall, the coffee was pretty mid. I think Montgomery Court was a one and done for me.
