This item is the only reason my review is not a one star, I thought it tasted good. The second time he ordered clam chowder and a salad that had chicken, fruit, nuts. The salad was fine nothing wrong but not a stand out either it seemed similar to something I'd get as a salad kit from the store. The clam chowder though was awful, so thick and gelatinous it seemed like it was canned which is already a red flag but one of those canned soups that you're supposed to add water to and like they forgot to do that part. On top of being weirdly thick it was also cold you can tell they didn't heat it thoroughly whether that was in a microwave or not though I can't really tell. I truly don't understand the hype or reviews for this restaurant given we've tried multiple items and for the most part fell flat with the sole exception of the fried fish. I was disappointed given the expectation from other reviews and unfortunately we won't be back for a third try.

The lot was half empty. No wait, no circling, no negotiating for a table. That matters here, because nearly everything written about this place describes peak brunch... the waits, the reservations, the packed dining room. They open at 8. The hour after that belongs to whoever bothers to show up early. The food held up its end. My crepe came out hot, folded under a runny fried egg with a cream sauce and scallions, and it was exactly what I want out of a Sunday morning plate. Four stars.
