I believed her, and appreciated that she didn't react with disgust at the thought of being me. So I got a hot steak sub. The largest size they had, with mushrooms and peppers and onions and provolone. It came out, and it was massive. And delicious. Tender steak, plenty of flavor, everything I needed in that moment. I only ate about 3/4 of it, because I knew I'd regret eating the whole thing. Not because of what it would do to my insides, but because my wife loves a steak sub, and I wanted to bring her some. It was a large center for Silk Road trade, and a major center for Buddhist teachings. They were destroyed by the Taliban in March 2021. Unlike other Silk Road restaurants, this serves no dumplings (pelmeni/jiaozi); no stuffed flatbreads (naan), and it is entirely Halal. I loved everything about my visit here, and I plan to bring my family here!
