Excited to have a spot for healthy eats on Park! The interior is super cute and there is outdoor seating available if you want to dine post-workout or just enjoy the sunshine. The staff has been super friendly and great at answering questions both times I've popped in. I ordered an acai bowl and took it to go for a late lunch. I agree with many of my fellow reviewers - the main thing that kept it from being a 5 star experience was the *melty-ness* of my bowl upon opening it at home. It was a tad watery which leads me to believe they do quite a bit of supplementing with ice. The fruit, coconut, granola, and chia seeds on top were absolutely delish, and the bowl kept me full for the remainder of the day. I am excited to go back and try one of their meal replacement smoothies and some other items on the menu. I will say the cost makes it a spot I won't be able to get to as frequently as I would like, but I love knowing that it is on option and wish I was made aware sooner! Best Smoothies in town. The consistency of the smoothies is always blended perfectly. I've tried all flavors including the smoothie bowls but the "Green Machine" is my go too smoothie when I'm looking for a good meal replacement. The service is always friendly and prompt. The ambiance is modern & sleek. Not much seating but when it's nice out there is additional seating outside. There are a few locations but my review is of the Greece Ridge location. read more

Refresh is a smoothie and juice bar located in the old Nathan's Soup & Salad. I was thrilled to find this place, as I've been looking for acai bowls locally for years. The smoothie bowls were so good, I went twice in one weekend. It is unfortunately pricier than it needs to be. A classic acai bowl is $12 and consists of blended banana & acai berries, and topped with strawberries, blueberries, coconut, granola, and chia seeds. For $1, you can add peanut butter or almond butter (I've tried both and prefer the almond butter was better as it was easier to spread with a spoon). The bowls are surprisingly filling and make a great breakfast or lunch. A regular smoothie - just fruit and no fancy stuff - is $5. Refresh has a bright open space with white walls and simple decor. Both plastic and paper straws are available for smoothies. The staff is friendly and easy to talk to. I'd love to see the hours extended so I could get there after a work day, but I realize the dinner crowd might not rush to a smoothie bar. I can dream, can't I? read more

One Açaí bowl with peanut butter is enough to fill me up for lunch. The inside of the shop is also so aesthetically pleasing. During non-covid times, there are a few small tables inside for indoor dining. My only critique is the hours are somewhat limited for someone who works a typical 9-5, but now that I've been working from home, I'm able to stop by often! read more

I love smoothies and was really looking forward to trying this place out. I loved the loaded list of toppings on the bowls and it seemed like it would be a winner for sure. Unfortunately when we received the bowls the taste just wasn't right. It was very watered down tasting and melted super fast. I would guess the main base is ice and not fruit or yogurt (of course making it not vegan). I was ok with the lack of sweetness but without paying the extra $1 for a spoonful of peanut butter they were seriously lacking something to pull it all together. The price was also quite high. I did appreciate the freshness of the fruit but overall would not go back based on flavor and cost. My daughter (6) loves smoothies and chose a peach blueberry combo and after one sip turned her nose up at it and wouldn't finish it. I tried it and agreed there was little flavor and even adding stevia it was lacking flavor and disappointing. read more

I walked into the cafe this afternoon and there were 2 employees behind the counter, neither of them were wearing masks. As the one girl prepared my food she never put a mask on and talked the entire time she was preparing my food. Corona virus is spread most by droplets coming from someone's mouth, sneeze or cough. I was so uncomfortable I didn't say anything and I left and through my food in the garbage. I would never complain about a restaurant but we are in the middle of a pandemic and they were completely disregarding the law and putting everyone that walks in there at risk. read more

I'm on a quest to find the best "San Diego Acai Bowl" in Rochester. Refresh came close, with lots of fruit. I only gave 3 stars because I found the acai rather soupy and the granola not at all crunchy. That said, the flavors were good, so I'm willing to give them another try. Very good service! read more

We were so excited to try this place because my daughter worked for a year in a vegan cafe/smoothie bowl place in another state and she makes them for us sometimes at home and they're so healthy and so yummy! The photos on IG of their bowls looked amazing so we headed down there. Cute decor!! Love the planters on the wall, love the hipster artsy feel of the place. We ordered two smoothie bowls but knew we were in trouble as soon as we saw all the ice thrown into the mixer - tons of ice! Yikes! My daughter's smoothie bar cafe recipes never called for any ice. The total for 2 bowls was $22 - I didn't order one as I could see they weren't really what we thought they were. Sure enough both bowls were super icy, not smooth, more like slushies with pretty toppings. They were very acidic (the green bowl and I forget the other one we got) and super watery, melting into a soupy-icy slushy thing very quickly. I felt badly but after a few bites of the green bowl we threw it away - my daughter tried to eat hers (which had WAY too many chocolate chips on it) but after several bites it, too, was just tossed out. I suppose on a blistering hot day when you want something icy like a slushie, this could be refreshing, but we were looking for true smoothie bowls - not icy bowls. I hear Original Grain is coming to town soon...maybe theirs will be more like the real thing. Really too bad - it's such a cute place!! If only they'd replace ice with frozen bananas and frozen fruit instead, they'd hit the mark. :( read more
