I was a little skeptical at first about a Floridian smoothie chain expanding to Rochester. However, I realized that there aren't any other smoothie chains in the area (ie. Smoothie King, Jamba Juice). Even though smoothies have fallen out of popularity compared to the 2000s, I believe there is still a place for them in the fast food market. Tropical Smoothie Cafe fills that void in Rochester. It's primarily a smoothie place, but also serves wraps, sandwiches and salads. As far as I can tell, the smoothies are made from fresh fruit (unlike some other places where it comes premixed and you add ice). The portions are large and the pricing is fair. The orders come out quickly and i've tried ordering ahead with their app with good success. My wife is a fan (she wanted me to give them 5 stars), so we'll be back soon.

Pretty on point for a smoothie place. Normal price, good size, great taste. If I'm in the mood for a smoothie this is my go to place.

Their smoothies and flat breads are so delicious! It's small inside but a great place to stop to grab a quick bite and smoothie!

Best smoothies in Henrietta hands down. Waited 2 minutes for my smoothie and I was out the door.

Delicious smoothie, and the staff didn't bother me while I had a mental breakdown in their dining room. Would recommend.

Last week I had an amazing experience after visiting your shop after a recommendation. I live now…read morelive two hours away and only get the occasional opportunity to come back. I had the "Hot Mama" and it was by far the most awesome smoothie I'd ever had. Not only did it have enough "heat," I felt amazing after having it. I will definitely make sure anytime I come to Rochester, I'll be making a stop at JJ4L. At the time, I purchased several juices to take home. Anti-inflammatory, Blue Dream, and Dragon's Breath. They were all fantastic! The staff were very friendly and explained multiple options based on my preferences. The store was clean, bright, and inviting.

It seems like there's only one person making the smoothies while others are in the back prepping produce. Last time I came in, there were five people ahead of me, one person doing everything, and I ended up leaving. Today was better someone rang me up, and there were only a couple people ahead of me, so it moved faster this was a plus! Honestly, it feels a little hit or miss these days. I totally understand food costs, rent, staffing, all of that can be tough to balance. Just know that while the smoothies are great, you might be in for a bit of a wait. That's all I've got! I stopped by PLN for the first time yesterday and am really impressed by this biz! I had heard…read moretheir shakes were yummy, so that was my mine objective in visiting. Get my smoothie, check out the grab and go cooler, and learn more about what this great spot has to offer. The bulk of their biz is meal prep and nutrition planning - and they seem to have a strong clientele of Rochesterians. They are conveniently located in the Lac De Ville plaza and I was in and out within five minutes. Everyone was SO kind and helpful, and my shake was really delicious. I am a protein powder SKEPTIC. I think it makes everything taste like diet chalk. I am pleased to report my banana shake did NOT taste like chalk, and I downed the whole thing throughout the course of an afternoon. I am grateful for anything that includes calorie counts these days. As I am aiming to be a bit more mindful about how much I am consuming in a given day (and of what!) this is really helpful. Given that we're home so much, I haven't had an issue making time for meal planning and grocery shopping. When we get back to "normal" and time is taken up by events and other happenings, I would ABSOLUTELY consider doing a meal program through PLN. I look forward to the next time I can stop by, and would recommend for anyone in the area looking for a lighter lunch option.

The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and helpful. I decided to tthe borek. It's a pastry that can be made either savory or sweet, I decided to have mine with. Spinach and cheese. I also ordered the baklava, and a little cup of the Turkish coffee (whoa!!). The Borek , I didn't look that big in the case spoiler alert, it was.... The dough was wonderfully flaky , and the filling was amazingly savory. I liked the spinach, and I'm not sure what type of cheese it was. But it played with the spinach perfectly it reminded me very much of a spanakopita, which I also love. The baklava was also excellent. It was perfectly flaky on the outside, and the honey, and the nuts inside were just fantastic. It is one of the better baklava that I have ever had. Now let's talk about the Turkish coffee. I've had Lebanese coffee, and I loved, and Ithought was strong.... the Turkish coffee makes Lebanese coffee taste like decaf that you would get from a cheap corner diner. With just a little bit of milk and sugar, it was perfect it was rich, and it was strong! At this point, I could probably make it to six hours to my destination without a car :). All of this great food, and I was only roughly out the door 20 bucks. For such high-quality food, it was worth it. I hope I'm back in Rochester again, because I would easily stop here again.

I came in for something simple and left fully committed to the experience. The Turkish coffee arrived in the most adorable cup, strong and velvety with that classic, unapologetic depth, paired with a soft, rose-kissed Turkish delight that made the whole thing feel like a ritual rather than just a caffeine stop. I took my time to enjoy every sip of it. And then the rice pudding. Served warm in a rustic clay bowl, topped generously with pistachios--it hit that perfect balance of creamy, lightly sweet, and comforting without being heavy. One of those desserts that sneaks up on you and suddenly you're scraping the bottom of the dish. The space itself is cozy and thoughtfully put together, and the people working there genuinely elevate it. Kind, welcoming, and happy to let you linger a bit, which feels increasingly rare. The first thing I noticed is how healthy and vibrant the plants look and to me that was the winning point. This is a great cozy spot for folks who don't enjoy social interactions and high energy vibes. It's more for the slow in the moment experience to sip and relax.
