I tried this place out. I ended up getting what my coworkers referred to as a garbage plate. Chick Magnet is definitely tied for best chicken sandwich in Rochester, in my opinion, and really it is so good. It's my top choice for a unique chicken sandwich, so it has all the other places beat in that category for sure! Add in the convenience of the Henrietta location, and I think it's now officially my favorite! The chicken is perfect, flavorful, tender, juicy. The breading and toppings are the perfect balance, not too much, but they add the right amount of crunch and flavor. I absolutely love their variety of themed sandwiches, and I enjoy their monthly specials. As a person with lots of allergies, I especially appreciate how accommodating they are. They make everything fresh and are able to modify sandwiches to accommodate allergies. They even have a statement on their online ordering platform confirming that they accommodate all allergen requests! The new Henrietta location is located where Schaller's used to be, so it is well suited to a fast casual restaurant. I love how close this new location is compared to the Penfield location, which means I'll be visiting much more often! This is a must-try! Love this place! read more

Tender and plump and crispy tenders. Was very filling. We got the Philly sandwich also which was amazing. We had an order of the loaded nests. Those are definitely sharable portions. The nest was good but for some reason I thought I was ordering loaded fries. My fault completely. Solid place to lunch! Service was fast and knowledgeable. This diner is surprisingly vegetarian friendly (not vegan though). I was a bit nervous when friends wanted to come here, but didn't need to be, the "No-Chick Chick" takes any of the traditional sandwiches and substitutes tofu, and it was honestly amazing. I got the Chick Mi sandwich with tofu which was impressively crispy and served on Texas toast. The pickled veggies and sriracha mayo went very well with the tofu, it was genuinely delicious and I will definitely come back. The table shared 'The Nest' (ribbon cut, seasoned chips) with a side of cheese as recommended to us by the staff (a great addition). Service was quick even with a big crowd and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. As far as the chicken goes, multiple people rang the "best chicken sandwich ever" bell while I was here, including members of my table. I really wanted to like this place more. It seemed so exciting when it opened. Unfortunately it's a bit of a one-trick pony. And that pony is, giant portions of extra-crispy chicken on giant slices of Texas toast. They're not sandwiches. They're not structurally sound enough to be sandwiches. Also not balanced enough. When a quarter of the chicken lies outside the sandwich, when the toppings are dwarfed by the chicken chonks and half-loaf of bread. When the sides are basically giant fries or giant fries with a gallon of cheese sauce. When it skews slightly bland or slightly routine for all those calories... then I have to say no thank you. But I can see why it's the post-game stop for many a college or high school sports adventure. read more

Nice employees right up front, ordered a Nashville hot chicken sandwich on Texas toast (brioche available) comes with pickles and their house sauce on it, and an order of 6 wings figuring The sandwich might not be enough... boy was I wrong. Sandwich was big by any standard any other day it would have been 2 helpings for me but I had been fasting for bloodwork so was able to handle the whole thing, the wings were going to be another matter they were also on the large side but was able to eat 2 before I gave up. Have to say both items were top notch and if you read my reviews you know I'm what my crew calls "picky" about my food... they have multiple sides including mac&cheese and multiple variations of fries. If you haven't been here and are in the mood for chicken you should give them a try, and don't worry if your eyes are bigger than you stomach like mine were the leftovers heat up just fine in the toaster oven. read more

The first thing I have to say is that the chicken was cooked to perfection. Whether it was the Riley's Chick, the Cali Chick, or the Nashville tenders, the chicken shined. Crispy and succulent, this chicken will make your soul smile. Split sandwiches with my friend and the second stand out was the bread. I don't want to know how they toasted it but it was the most consistently crispy toast I've had on a sandwich - and that's saying a lot... The Cali chick was amazing! The guacamole and lettuce brought balance and freshness to the deep fried chicken. Classic and very very good sandwich. Riley's chick had a great first bite, but as I hit the second or third bite, the sweet onion jam was too much. The flavor lingered longer than the rest and while it blended well initially, it quickly became overwhelming. The Nashville Tenders.... Brother bear.... The tenders... plump, crispy, moist.... So flavorful! If I came here for just tenders I'd be a happy man. The magnet sauce provided cooling and balance to the saltiness of the seasoning on top. Overall may be the best tenders I've had in a loooooong time. The Nest was kind of like hand cut chips. While not thin enough to be a chip, had the crunch of. It had enough body to still also feel the flakiness of the potato. Loved it. But we ordered one for each of us and that was tooooo much. Haha very much something to share. Service was great - guy at the counter manned two registers to get our orders in quickly. First time to order from Chick Magnet. Observation of restaurant, as I walked in it was clean and spacious with lots of tables to eat. I was greeted with a hello and the staff was friendly while taking my takeout order. The food arrived quicker than expected, and the manager noted that because the tenders I ordered were on the smaller size an extra one was added to my order at no cost. Once home the chicken tenders were delicious, the crust was crunchy and the meat was tender and warm. Even though I was told the tenders were on the smaller size, they were still pretty large. I believe these were the best chicken tenders I've had in Rochester. As for sides, ordered a Nest and a Loaded Nest which is a potato cut into curls and fried. The loaded nest came with cheese sauce, bacon, sour cream, and chives. All were delicious and you get quite a bit for an order at a great price. I will definitely be eating here again. read more

Absolutely amazing customer service. I had some issues with a few deliveries recently, it was mostly a Grubhub issue, but they still addressed it well. After a long day I order food, was delivered something from an entirely different restaurant, clearly not Chick Magnets fault. I still called to let them know what happened, and when I reordered they threw in a small mac and cheese as well as an extra tender and a note. 12/10 customer service, however due to issues with Grubhub and other delivery apps I might suggest picking up your food to ensure it arrives. Came here for the first time today and ordered the hot chicken tenders. I can only say they were phenomenal - crazy good with the sauce that comes on the side, and enjoyed the buttery toast underneath and "palate-cleansing" pickle slices. Each of the pretenders was large and filling, with killer seasoning. I can't think of anything to improve on the deliciousness. It's a truly dangerous place. Glad I don't live nearby. Upon entering, the floors were sticky but ambiance decent. Spacious interior with a lot of space to find your own pocket of solitude. We chose a booth in the back corner of the restaurant which looked nice and clean. Music was, as expected, radio pop hits but volume didn't overwhelm personal conversation and mainly acted to drown out other white noise. Service was quick, and I ordered "The Cali Chick" along with "Nashville Fingers (L2)" and "The Nest", totaling around $30. My beeper went off about five minutes after ordering, and I returned to the booth with a nice looking spread of chicken and chips. The sandwich was outstanding, with that classic combo of guacamole and chipotle mayo ratioed to perfection. Chicken was crispy and juicy (gotta be wet batter), and the Nashville fingers paired particularly well with their magnet sauce. The fingers weren't too spicy either, and I would certainly like to try L3 next time. Chips were good at first, but after a while became rather salty to the pallet so I didn't end up finishing them (def a large enough portion to share). I also had the opportunity to try "Riley's Chick", but the Cali Chick was much more to my liking. Riley's Chick had a good bite, but the sweet onion jam lingered long after the banana peppers, chicken, and hot honey were gone. Overall a great experience with 10/10 fried chicken -- next time I'll have to give "The Magnet" a go! Also, missed taking the side profile shots of the sandwiches...that's my bad.
