I arrived hungry and excited to try the food, especially after hearing good things about the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to my expectations. The black beans tasted like they came straight from a can and had virtually no flavor. The chicken was tender enough, but the only flavor I could taste was salt. In fact, it was so salty that I found myself reaching for the green sauce with almost every bite just to make it enjoyable. Without the sauces, I don't think I would have finished the meal. Be prepared to drink plenty of water afterward. On the positive side, the customer service was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The prices are definitely reasonable, and you get a good amount of food for your money. Overall, it's an affordable lunch option with great service and a clean environment, but the food itself could use more seasoning and flavor beyond salt. For that reason, I'm giving it 3 stars.

Mr. BoBo makes all of the food in-house and it's made fresh, he is the nicest guy you'll ever meet too. Keep in mind that this is not a sit-down place, in fact there are no tables, so you'll need to treat as take-out only. His entrees cost like $10-$14, but portions are massive. You'll have leftovers for a while. Each dish comes with a meat (chicken wings or ribs), and 2 sides (yams, mac and cheese, collard greens), cornbread, and rice. You can add shrimp for like $3 more. The flavor you guys, the flavor. I have never liked collard greens until I had this man's collard greens, the flavor from the ham-hock is indescribable. The mac and cheese is creamy and seasoned well, the yams are as sweet as candy. The complimentary pieces, the cornbread and the rice are just as good. The rice tastes like chicken and the cornbread is cake, literal sweet, delicious cake. Moving on to the meats, both ribs and chicken wings fall off the bone and BoBo's house-made sauce is A MUST. Every time I eat it, my taste-buds are assaulted by the tenderness of the meat, the flavor and the sauce. Plan on not moving for a while after eating BoBo's because you will be full and in a good way.

The food was great! I ordered corned beef hash eggs and toast. Comes with bacon and home fries. Everything was great! The only thing I would say is there was wayyyyy too much butter on the toast. But if that's all that's bad. That's pretty good. The waitress was very good. Cracking jokes with the crew and having a good time. Also food was pretty fast and the coffee was great as well. We came back the fallowing week and got lunch. I ordered a "fish sandwich". Very vague but I trusted it was going to be good. I'm giving this a 5 start because I want everyone to try this spot and hope killa succeeds. I wish there were a little bit more verity in the menu though!
