I've been meaning to check them out especially when they have their mozzarella sticks on the menu! So I placed an order online for pick-up. And was pleasantly surprised that they have a drive-through option. My food was packed with all side options etc - perfectly. I didn't get any pics this time but everything was excellent! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - 10 pc. Cauli Tender Bites - Chicken Shop Near Me - Rochester, New York

My family and I absolutely love Dave's hot chicken. The three of us will come altogether and get two different meals to share as our go- to order. We get the Dave's mini slider meal with french fries and then an order of the Dave's not chicken cauliflower bites. For sides we've only ever tried the mac & cheese, but it was really good and we liked it a lot. We come here a lot for a quick dinner or a quick lunch in between classes and always has the spot. The restaurant itself is always very clean and never too crazy busy which is nice. I've never tried any of their top loaded shakes or their slushes, but I'd love to try them in the future as they look delicious read more

My first experience at Dave's hot chicken and I was impressed! The chicken was crunchy and I ordered the mild which had flavor but wasn't too spicy. I also enjoyed all the graffiti on the walls, it's a nice vibe. The bathroom was clean too. The parking lot itself is small, especially when sharing with Layali next door. I also want to shoutout Dave and Tiffany for their kindness and excellent service! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries 20 oz. Diet Coke - Chicken Shop Near Me - Rochester, New York

Pretty good chicken, cool wall art, and pretty good service. I got to try a bit of the mild spicy chicken, kale slaw, Mac and cheese, fries, HI-C orange slush and of course Dave's sauce. The chicken was delicious and very tender, by far the star of the show. The fries were very salty, and not at all spicy like I hoped. Mac and cheese with Dave's sauce was pretty good! read more

I went to DHC bc I had a great experience the first time I went to this restaurant. I went there last Saturday, after the Corn Hill Arts festival bc I thought it would be a good place to eat & just chill, plus I wanted some chicken. The food was terrible. I ordered the #1 - chicken fillets n fries. This entire entree was trash. Everything was cold n overcooked until its edges were charred. I took the dinner back to the counter n what I received was still cold n hard; and the chicken tasted like cardboard. Nothing was served hot. I don't understand how, if you have 3-4 people cooking, that I still got cold n overcooked food. I won't be going back to any DHC restaurants. Totally a waste of money. read more

I've been a fan of Dave's Hot Chicken for a while now, and unfortunately, my visit to the Rochester location didn't meet the standard I've come to expect from the brand. The chicken didn't appear to be cooked to order -- both tenders I received were warm at best, not hot, which is a telltale sign they had been sitting for a bit. On top of that, the seasoning seemed hastily applied after the fact, rather than fused into the crispy coating as it usually is when done fresh out of the fryer. As someone who typically orders medium spice, I was surprised (and not in a good way) when my second tender tasted like an extra hot. It was nearly unpalatable and felt like a clear miss on quality control. Overall, it just didn't feel like the same care and consistency I've come to appreciate from Dave's. Hoping this was just an off day, but definitely not the experience I expected. read more

30 minutes drive thru. Just not moving. When I got to the window the employees are just chatting. Lack of professionalism. I went on 1/16 at around 8:45pm. Manager should review the security camera. 2 cars left during the 30 minutes drive thru. read more

We were curious after passing by this restaurant several times. The food is good overall. I ordered fried cauliflower and the rest of the family ordered the chicken. In total we spent around $80-$90 between meals and drinks. The portions are huge and in many instances can possibly be shared. The slider, much to my surprise, was enough for a meal. The star of the show was the kale salad. It was fantastic. We also ordered shakes. They were not good and pricey for the quality. You will find far better at Shake Shack or Abbots down either direction of the road. We would venture back again on the occasion, but unfortunately this probably won't be in our regular rotation. read more

Imagine this: you're waiting in the drive thru line for 30 whole minutes for them to fulfill your order of 10 chicken bites (no fries no drink), but it gets to you COLD. I had ice cream warmer than these 10 nuggets that look like it came straight from something I've seen in my toilet. I don't care about the fact that I wasted my money. I care that I wasted my time for something so disappointing. Never again. read more

Ordered the sliders (hot and extra hot), took a bite, was disappointed for a sec but smiled the second that heat crept up on me. I really like this spice blend they use, having lived in Louisiana. Also ordered the 10-piece bites (no heat), and they were delicious. The parking lot was packed, especially with the coffee shop next door, so the drive thru was much appreciated. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken - Hot Box - Sliders - Chicken Shop Near Me - Rochester, New York

First and foremost a few weeks ago I had a chicken sandwich from the East Ridge Road location while visiting friends thanks to my wife and Daamn I was impressed saying to my wife I will have to try this again so few days ago while in Henrietta trying to figure out what to eat my wife suggested Dave's Hot Chicken,we go to the the location greeted when inside the restaurant the young lady at the register was very friendly and helpful she took our order was given a buzzer while waiting for our food I noticed the decor,as a kid in the 80's and 90's who dabbled in graffiti I appreciated the decor plus noticed the busy atmosphere with decent music in the background!! I must say the food fresh and hot the season fries is one of the best I ever had tasted and then I devoured the chicken sandwich with the good Dave's sauce in it, I was TRULY satisfied plus I love hot stuff ,this was amazing now for Chicken Sandwiches places in Rochester I have to put it in my top 3 right next to Chick Fil A and Chick'N'Out!!As a matter of fact I just might give them the edge because of the spicyness but overall 2 thumbs up for me personally and I will be going back very soon!! read more

Finally got to check out the new Dave's Hot Chicken location in Henrietta. We ordered Dave's #1- 2 Tenders w/fries meal with medium hotness. We also got a side of honey to add to the tenders. The tenders were super crispy and flavorful. They were a little too spicy for me- but I'll get the mild tenders next time. We went through the drive- thru- service was fast. The meals were $13/each. Not too pricey. I will def be back. Next time you're in the area- def check em out! read more

Not a fine dining establishment by any stretch, and it's always insanely busy. That being said, the food is worth the hype, fries are just overseasoned. Music is too loud, and combined with the industrial acoustics reflecting off concrete and the sheer amount of people in here, you can't hear anyone else you went with. But I'll be back for the chicken read more

Had lunch there today...not impressed! Wife and I ordered and received our buzzer. Several people ordered after us after sitting for about 20-25 minutes we noticed everyone that ordered after us had received their food. Went to the counter and asked about my order, and looked at me funny like "Oh Shit" and they made an inquiry and realized that they forgot to make my order. They gave me some BS excuse and after another 5 minutes waiting at the counter I finally received my order. I didn't even get an apology. As for the food, the chicken was good, the fries were not great at all. I fill there are better places to spend my money than some place that was just mediocre. I would like to add: chicken strips are big and tasty-I rate them a 4, service is a 1, and decore is a 3 spacious but not comfortable. read more

Just opened this week, happy to have a Dave's hot chicken in the area. Bright, colorful, open design. I love the artwork on the exterior and interior of the restaurant, graffiti style and tailored to local area. This location has been added to the app, so you can now order online to pick-up. I came for early lunch take-out with a short line, efficient timing for their first week. I am usually a medium salsa kind of girl and find the medium heat level perfect, hot is a little spicy for me, but you will have to try them out for yourself. Fries are basic crinkle cut, but I enjoy the seasoning and the crisp holds up. Tenders are $5 each, but decent sized. quite filling. 2 tender and fries combo without drink is $12.99. They offer slushes, milkshakes, and sliders that are a tender on roll with kale slaw. Their pickles are awesome and come with the combos (dill chip style). Their Dave's sauce is creamy, peppery, less chunky thousand island. Definitely recommend getting honey - ask for several packets with order. Great addition to the area with simple menu options. Staff was very friendly and doing well with opening week! read more

Where's the ranch? This is a chicken place and you serve no ranch? What??!! Baffled. Food didn't have me wanting to go again.

When I arrived for my online order, the place was buzzing with diners and takeouts. Mine was ready within 2 minutes of estimate. The sliders were SO GOOD! Chicken had the crisp and juiciness of Raising Cane's and the flavor of the best Nashville Hot. The slaw was icing on the cake! Pickles crunchy and moist. Mac and cheese was tender and saucy. I'll be looking for a chance to return soon! Next time I'll stop and eat so I can enjoy without the distractions of travel! Also, to go packaging was enlightened: paper food container, paper cup. Sauce cup, drinking straw, and bag were plastic but for the rest, good choices! Kudos to the folks at Dave's! read more

Food was very good. We had the Cauliflower and the chicken, both were tasty. Food was ready quickly. I liked the old music!

We heard that Dave's hot chicken had opened but didn't really know when. We decided to order online and pick up. When arriving the place was justifiably crowded which should make the owners happy. I can't talk about the ambiance because I didn't pick up the food and we ate at home. We have only heard a little bit about the food so we went into it with no preconceived ideas!! Since we didn't know how hot is hot we went with 1 medium, 1 mild, 1 light mild, 1 no seasoning (which wasn't a favorite but still good tasting chicken) my family and I absolutely loved the chicken sandwiches! The spice is like a rub giving you flavor throughout the whole sandwich! The Dave's sauce is just a slightly different sauce than others making it a pleasant accompaniment to the chicken. My sandwich has the kale slaw on it and it remained crunchy and flavorful withstanding the 30 min drive home. I have a dill pickle lover in my family so the ample amt of the crisp thick sliced pickles were a treat . We highly recommend this new chicken restaurant in Rochester. Once you try it you will crave it!! read more

A long line out of the building that goes pretty quickly, from the door it was 15 minutes. The menu is small, and prices do not include beverages. There only 4 combo meals to choose from. Sides are fries, cheese fries, slaw, mac n cheese, a single slider, and a single tender. The combos start at $9.99 and go up to $14.99 without drinks. Sides start at $3.79 and go up to $7.09. Choose your heat from none to Extra Hot. The milkshakes start at $ 4.99 (small) or (large) $5.99. Slushies are $3.69. The restaurant is large with ample seating. A graffiti theme and very casual. The wait for our food was another 10 minutes. First taste was the fries. They are ok. They taste like frozen crispy ore Ida ovwn baked fries with seasoning. The slider is big. Flavorful. I ordered medium and there was barely heat to it. My husband ordered hot and it was more like a medium. They were out of extra hot. The dipping sauce tastes like thousand island dressing. Or you can get honey packets. It was good. Out of 5 stars for opening weekend I'll give it a 4! read more

Check your food before leaving. I ordered 3 mild sliders, and when I got home, I realized that they gave me 3 tenders on bread with sauce and pickle. The husband and child were very disappointed, as they were looking forward to the sliders. read more

This place is so cool inside & out. I went on the later side, and it wasn't busy. Online ordering was down so I just went inside and every worker was patient of it being new. Although it was a little pricey (two meals plus shakes as drinks were $47) the chicken was really good. Wish I had some pictures but the mild wasn't even hot so don't be scared to go higher. They give out honey packets which gave the sandwiches a sweet taste. The Daves Sauce is good as well. I would totally go back! read more

Amazing HOT chicken. The medium is hot the hot is really hot the very hot is almost unbearable and the reaper is ridiculous. The quality of the chicken is amazing and the management in the store is outstanding. I had an error on my order where they flipped around the mild in the hot and they made everything right with a brand new order in just a few minutes when I came back. They are very busy cuz they first opened but they are customer service is second to none. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated has plenty of seating and is an awesome experience whether you sit down or take out read more

I recommend Dave's Hot Chicken restaurant located in Henrietta. From the friendly, courteous, and very capable staff, to the delicious chicken and French fries. Very clean and well staffed. When I got my chicken, it was cold. My chicken was also unseasoned. IT TASTED LIKE STRAIGHT SPICE TENDERS WITHOUT FLAVOR. instead of 2 tenders I got 1. Dave's hot chicken, I thought you were worth the hype. I hate this restaurant not coming again TIKTOK all your fault. 1 star. read more

Went to go try the popular Dave's Hot Chicken to see what's it all about. Highly recommend to order online to avoid the long line in there. There online completion speed is quick fast for a place that is so busy. Quick tip, if you order online. Don't wait in the line, just walk around and go straight to the pick up area next to the cash register. Your order name will show up on the TV and would let you know when it's ready. I ordered, the tender and slider combo with fries. The chicken itself is not bad. It's not dry, but it's also not jucie as I expected. It's more in the middle. The breading is a bit over on the paprika. I assume it's on purpose, because when you dip on the home sauce, it seems to complement eachother well. As for the slider, it's huge. The bread vs chicken ratio.. the chicken wins. Not a bad thing though, it just emphasizes how generous the portions are. The only thing I have agenst the slider is the lack of sauce on it and the Cole slaw. Drench that thang with that home sauce and enhance the slaw. I would surely recommend first timers a try. The envoirment is very artistic and cool. read more

Closest thing to Nashville hot chicken you will get in this area. Once you get to the extra hot, it's painful.

I had initially ordered fries unseasoned and the wait was a bit long, I had just assumed that it was because they were unseasoned but Jojo was super sweet and ended up giving me a free milkshake for the wait! The food was very good as well! read more
