I loved it here! I saw it on Yelp and knew I wanted to try it. I love poke bowls, but they didn't have a ton of vegetarian options to top it with like some other places do. I really wanted to try the Acai bowl anyway, so I got that. The acai is basically a smoothie on the bottom of the bowl, and you can top it with your choices. I got bananas, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, granola, and almond butter and nutella on the side. I didn't really think almond butter or nutella would go well with fruit, but they both did! Everything was good and fresh, and I really liked it. The only downside here is that it's kind of pricey. It was $11.77, and that was just for the bowl. No drink or anything else. It might be a pricey option in the food court, but it was also the healthiest. I am not at Eastview very often, so I'm not sure how often I'll be here, but I'd really like to go back. If they open another location, I'd definitely go there, too. There's also a $1 off check in offer on Yelp. I checked in after I ordered, so I didn't get to use it this time, but be sure to check in!

So good. If you are looking for a quick eat that's healthy, this is highly recommended. I got the açaí bowl. The entire menu is customizing your bowl and it's free. You can select as many fruit, toppings, etc and no extra cost. I added banana, strawberry, coconut shavings, almond shavings, and almond butter drizzle. It's a good amount of food and it's fresh and quality ingredients. My only compliant would be that it was pricey, but the food was good and there are not many similar options in Rochester with this offering, so I guess they have the right to.

What a pleasant surprise and great addition to Victor! I ordered a sushi burrito online for takeout- the order was ready within 10min. I received the poke bowl instead of the burrito I ordered, but it had the right toppings so it was still good! Very fresh, good quality fish, delicious! I will definitely be back for a sushi burrito :)

Shaka is the grand opening restaurant at Eastview Mall. Their food/ drinks is extremely fresh and delicious. A must try everybody!

This is the best choice among the restaurants available in the food court area. I'd even consider stopping in just for lunch without shopping. Ended up going with a poké bowl that had salmon, fish egg, seaweed salad, edamame and jalapeño over a bed of brown rice. Everything was proportioned nicely and you could tell the person prepping the bowl took care with how it was arranged. It was fresh tasting with all the ingredients stated above standing out. Worth the cost and on par with the cost of most meals in food court. Looking forward to stopping here for lunch in the future. The only potential problem I see is wait time, but still worth it.

    Ask the Community - Shaloka

Is the açaí base sweetened or does the sweetness come from the fruit?

We use the regular Organic Acai Frozen pack to make the base, so the sweetness come from the fruit (majority from banana) and the acai pack.

You can select your choice of milk: almond milk, chocolate almond milk, soy milk, or coconut milk. They also offer 2 house-made milk options for an upcharge: cashew milk and almond milk. The combination of mint, cacao nibs, banana, and dates creates a flavor that reminds me of a healthy version of a mint chocolate chip treat, while the cashews added a creamy, satisfying texture. I especially appreciate that the supergreens blend in seamlessly without overpowering the taste. It's refreshing, naturally sweet, and filling without feeling heavy. If you're looking for a smoothie that's both nourishing and indulgent, the Grasshopper is a standout choice. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional. The space itself has a calm, Zen-like energy that matches the wellness focus of the menu. It's just as nice a spot to sit and relax as it is to grab something on the go. I'd probably visit daily if I lived closer!

They offer a variety of classes and even have a reasonably priced two-week pass for newcomers to try different options. I don't come as often as I used to because I live in the city, and it's not just a quick drive. I was more active with Breathe when they had locations in College Town and at Hutchinson House on East Avenue. That said, it's worth the trip--I take a restorative yoga class with a sound bath here, and so far, it's the only place in the area that offers this as a regular class. The space is lovely, with a great selection of gifts, books, clothing, and more. Parking can be a bit frustrating, as the lot behind the building sometimes fills up, and street parking may be necessary.
