I am obsessed with this little place; it is a must stop for me in Ithaca. I go there primarily for the bubble tea as it uses a lot of special brew teas, and authentic style teas that do not just come from flavor powders in a bag. I have ordered so many various teas from here but specifically love the Yaxi Tea, and I always add in mochi to it as it is literally perfection. It has a full bodied, warm feeling flavor. Aside from the teas and unique toppings, they also make delicious desserts, appetizers, and poke. The desserts range from sweet to savory. Service is always fast & polite. Last visit I also ordered Jiu Niang With Egg to try something a little different. It is served hot, and is a soup with sweet fermented rice with poached eggs, red dates, and goji berries...I am still thinking about it! I was in Downtown Ithaca and saw this poke place that I parked close to. Inside, the place was clean and spacious. I do enjoy a good poke bowl, and I often order the sauce on the side to see how good it is without the sauce. Well, this poke bowl was pretty light on the poke. Really great spot for bubbles tea and apps (like poke)! Huge list of flavored bubble tea, smoothies, fruit tea, etc. A bit hard to choose, but the list of favorites, did help! Lovely decor and very clean & comfortable setting. I found a few people just lounging and working on their laptops. I am consistently on the hunt for the best poké and bubble tea spots & was excited to try Dream Tea & Poké after it opened around mid-April of this year. Unfortunately, after both visiting in-person and ordering takeout? Dream Tea & Poké leaves a bit to be desired... especially when ordering poké for takeout. I'd much rather receive my poké in a compostable/takeout bowl, for example, than a folded together takeout box. This is especially the case when the poké arrives unmixed (i.e. a big scoop of rice to the side with the various proteins and toppings just added, but not mixed together). I want to get a bit of all my proteins, toppings, and rice in every bite... but the takeout box made everything awkward to eat together. (Admittedly, they're also missing some of my preferred mix-ins and toppings from their menu of selections... like, I'd love to see hijiki seaweed as an option or diced mango as options). As for the bubble tea, it hasn't been my favorite. Something about the texture of the boba doesn't really seem right & the tea itself has often lacked flavor. I'm going to give it more time before I order anything from Dream Tea & Poké again... give it some time for this place to hopefully get in a groove. My teenage daughter and I enjoyed the Fresh Fruit Bowl. It was beautifully balanced with an assortment of very fresh fruit placed carefully in a syrup that was not too sweet. The taro balls were soft and chewy....perfect texture. It was delicious! Being Taiwanese, we are always on the lookout for Taiwanese desserts when we travel. This is a bubble tea, poké, and Taiwanese dessert spot. Think Mango Mango but with a larger variety of food options. I love dessert soups, and this cold Bao Bao bowl hit the spot. Their bubble tea is also delicious. You might not spot it right away but it's next to the Starbucks, almost integrated with a hotel. My order came out fast and the bowl was delicious and refreshing! I wish the pineapple was fresh, but I loved the mochi! They were soft, chewy, and slightly sweet! Late one evening in Ithaca, we were looking for a quick and hearty vegetarian takeout. Dream hit the spot. You order by choosing options for a bowl from a checklist. I always get so excited when some categories on a checklist say you can choose as many as you like... I wind up choosing almost all of them. The bowl in the end was packed full of healthful and tasty ingredients from tofu to all the vegetables to the sauces. Note that Yuzu is a bit vinegary! The service was friendly and the bowl was made pretty fast. The space is clean and bright and only a block away from the Ithaca commons where you can grab an open table and listen to live music. The woman who runs it is an absolute joy! Ordering is very easy. You pick your proteins and your toppings for your choice of burrito, bowl, or salad. The prices are very reasonable.
