My go-to ramen shop in Syracuse. Not too pricey, quick service and the ramen is fantastic!

1: food. ordered shot ramen (14usd) miso ramen ( 14 usd). soup of both showed consistency with precooked frozen soup. noodle overcooked (also tastes like dried convenient noodle you can buy online). egg overcooked and fully solidified. pork no flavor no texture, taste exactly the same as frozen food. 2: service: I could not comments on what does not exist. also, oder taker verbally requested us to fill the tips. 3: table is not cleaned. see pictures attached. dried soup droplet and oil on table. read more

**Diet restricted eaters friendly!**Located inside the Destiny USA outlet mall on the second floor. I was very hungry and often finding things I can eat out and about is difficult. I popped in and asked if I could just get a bowl of broth and a hard boiled egg and the cashier immediately said yes! I got the Shoyun pork bone broth and a hard boil egg. They only charged $6.48 total. It was totally worth it--the broth was thick and rich and a portion was plenty! While I waited for them to bring me my order I gandered over their menu and everything looked delicious. read more

Pok'e Noodle was a strange experience. Went for the first time with a party of four on a Tuesday around 130pm. There was one young poke bowl artist working up front and who knows about the kitchen. And to that one young person up front, they were working their butt off on trying to finish orders for those who came before us, take care of us, finish our orders that weren't done because they didn't have all the ingredients and take care of everyone after us, where I'm sure the problems were compounded. They were moving and working hard no doubt about that. The bigger problem was, as someone trying to order food and build your own bowl, when you are out of 30% of things our party is looking to eat, it raises some eyebrows. There was even one item we were told they don't even serve anymore, that was the eel to be specific...but it's still listed on the menu! Everything was really rather unfortunate about the experience and even the sweet soy sauce they did have, tasted like mayonnaise without any soy at all. Unless we were given the wrong sauce, which would be its own problem anyways. The food that we did have was fine, everything was edible but left us all wanting more food, which we went somewhere else after to supplement our tummies. Also notable was that 2 of the 3 things that were to be brought out to us at our table when they were ready, never came, those were the avocado which is an extra dollar compared to the other extras and a 2nd portion of the tofu as the protein one of my friends ordered for their meal. We just wanted to move on and not make a fuss, we had already paid anyways, so we ate, cleaned up and left. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Pok'e Noodle. And with having other poke and ramen favorites in the area I'm unlikely to go back. If you do go, I hope your experience is far better than mine as There are many positive reviews out there as well. I've been trying to make more mindful choices with my takeout, and I figured that poke would be lighter fare. Went a couple of months back. I haven't had proper poke, and probably need to get non-mall poke at some point. This spot is in the Canyon section, near Dick's. If you're running in just for takeout, the best option is to park in the overflow lot and take the sky tunnel entrance. Having no idea where the restaurant was located, I wandered through the whole mall, womp womp. Pok'e Noodle is mainly a build-your-own-bowl type of place, though they do have some other menu options. There were only a couple of people ahead of me, so I waited my turn. The staff was super polite and accommodating. I went for a bowl with a spring mix base, one scoop of shrimp and one scoop of spicy tuna, seaweed salad, scallions, and poke sauce. Took my meal home to eat. The food didn't feel especially fresh, which was a bummer because I went not long after they opened. Not that it had turned-- just felt a little more like leftovers from the night before than made fresh in the morning. My bowl was just ok. Didn't really feel like I got my money's worth, since my basic bowl was $13 before tax and tip. For that price point, there are many more satisfying meals you can get in Syracuse. Won't be hurrying back here, though I wouldn't be adamantly against giving them a second chance if the option arose-- maybe they were having an off day or I should have chose better ingredients. I wasn't expecting to have my lunch today in Destiny USA, but the original ramen location I had picked didn't open until later in the day... and after checking my Yelp app, I noticed the listing for Poke Noodle. I didn't have the poke itself, since I went for the ramen, so I can't give an opinion on the poke. The folks ahead of me in line at Poke Noodle ordered a poke bowl and it looked quite delicious. Perhaps an update to this review will be needed later AFTER I've tried the poke too. Anyway! The ramen special of the day was tonkotsu, which is a variation of ramen I always love to try when visiting a new spot... but one which I'm also very picky about, especially with regards to the flavor/quality of the broth. As I've noted in other reviews for ramen spots, the goal with tonkotsu broth is to have the kind of flavor that only really comes from slow-cooking the pork (bone-in) in broth for a long, Long, LONG time. After all that slow-cooking, you should find little, teeny droplets of collagen/drippings that come from that pork/pork bone broth having been cooking away for hours and hours and hours. For tonkotsu, this is where all the delicious flavor comes from. *drool* The tonkotsu broth here at Poke Noodle did have a couple little droplets of fat in it, and the broth did have some good flavor. I don't think the pork was cooked in the broth for hours and hours, but there does seem like it was given some time... because while I've had better broth, I've also had MUCH worse. It's not the kind of broth or ramen that I'll specifically crave again, but I won't turn down a return visit here for ramen if/when in Destiny USA either. Side note: I *DO* appreciate that they included corn AND toasted sesame seeds as toppings for the tonkotsu ramen. I really enjoy the texture they both provided, and my favorite ramen dishes always seem to have corn in them. In terms of overall service and price, I would say that the service is fine... nothing exceptional, but the staff here is certainly nice. Price for the ramen was in the expected range (I usually assume about $10-$12 for a ramen bowl - and the tonkotsu ramen special was $10.99). TL;DR Middle of the road ramen experience - so really, it boils down to convenience. If in Destiny USA again? I won't pass up trying Poke Noodle again. read more

We were looking for a quick bite on our way home after rock climbing and a road trip, and this place was perfect! There were ramen, poke bowls, poke burritos, and buns options. There were three traditional bowls where you don't choose what to put in it, and there are options where you can pick your toppings. I ordered the poke bowl with brown rice and two scoops of protein for $10.99. I ordered mine with spicy tuna, steak, and the sweet chili sauce. I ordered almost all of the toppings except the jalapeños as well. The only thing that took a few minutes was the steak. I also felt that they were a little bit stingy with the amount of steak because they only gave me about 5 small pieces but it was delicious! Such a good meal and such a good price! I went for a quick lunch break, as I have always wanted to check this place out. I tried the "build your own poke bowl" per the server's recommendation. This was THE BEST poke bowl I've ever had AND it was only $11($10 if you don't add avocado). The bowl options included a huge variety of rices, meats, sauces, and toppings to choose from. I choose to do white rice with tuna and salmon, and added so many toppings such as mango, crab, cilantro, cucumbers, scallions etc. and avocado (which was a dollar extra). This bowl was extremely tasty and very large, it filled me up for the rest of the day. These bowls are very customizable, and are a great deal for the price. The person who served me was extremely nice and helpful, answering all my questions with great detail. I went in at 12 and there was no line, and it was a quick order and checkout. While walking through the mall this place caught my eye. It's in a quite desolate location, but I wholly recommend eating here. I ordered the ramen and it is delectable. I deeply recommend the Miso Ramen. It comes with chicken, halved boiled egg, and one of those swirly fish cakes things in the bowl. On top of the good food, the customer service is impeccable. The cashier/ server was extremely nice and welcoming. Tables are sanitary and there is ample room to socially distance. 10/10 would recommend. read more

First time to give this place a try. It was so hard to figure out what to order because I wanted to try it all! They had a few specials, a few dishes you could order, and a mix and match menu to use to create your own poke bowl, noodles or salad. Being someone who values choice I just love the options!! So, we were in kind of a hurry so I just ordered the "Tuna Lovers" off the menu. It was delish!! I asked the server for suggestions on what sauce would go well with it and chose one of those suggested. Sooooo good. It started off on a bad foot when another customer disobeyed the arrows on the ground to go around me and order before me. It's clean looking. The staff isn't the friendliest by just shouting ingredients and waiting for your yes or no. They should use smaller bowls since they do not come close to filling them makes you feeling like you aren't getting enough. The would not have any flavor without the sauce you choose. So full disclosure, I came here for the ramen and wanted nothing to do with Poke. I am insanely pleased so say that Syracuse finally has a legit Ramen serving location. I feel they should rebrand the restaurant to Ramen Time. Poke is not as popular around here as some of the larger cities and I wouldn't have even came here if I hadn't seen ramen on the menu. So obviously they are not as delicious as some of my favorite ramen restaurants in NYC, but they are definitely better than many restaurants that just offer ramen as a placeholder. I ordered the Shoryu Ramen and it was delicious. The porky broth was very rich and the big chunks of pork meat were very flavorful. My wife ordered the Miso Ramen and she said that it was really tasty. They have quite a few different types of ramen as well as different poke bowls on their menu. I feel they should serve fountain soda though. Not a fan of bottled. The staff are extremely friendly and the prices are not too high either. Given the choice, I would much rather have a poke bowl with fresh fish and veggies. You pick your size of bowl and begin with type of rice and proteins. If you don't like fish, they have other protein choices like beef, tofu, etc. I like the spicy sauce they can mix in with the protein and like to add spicy mayo over the whole bowl at the end. I like that I can pick all the ingredients and I don't need to pick out things I don't like from an entree. It's like deconstructed sushi in a bowl if you get the fish/seafood options. read more

I love poke time! I always get the poke bowls but the ramen is awesome too! For the poke bowl you get brown rice, white rice, or a salad. There are a lot of types of fish and toppings. Toppings include seaweed salad, crab salad, corn, mango, cucumber, cilantro, edamame, tofu, avocado (for a dollar extra), cilantro, sesame seeds, crunchy garlic and onions, onions, scallions (and probably more I forgot). Nice place, funny location. I've seen two other locations leave the same spot due to the location. However I highly recommend checking the place out. The choices are very good. I got the Tom Yum Ramen and was happily impressed. Prices are very good too! Minus one star for two reasons, atmosphere was meh. A bit more traditional would be highly appreciated. Seating is adequate. Music choice was very meh. But not enough to deter me as I will happily come back. The other reason was the explanation of the Poke Bowl isn't exactly concise. It would be nice to have a clearer flow before you get to the counter. It's written up on the menu, but pre made bowls would be nice and then allow the customer to add or subtract along the way. I had the poke burrito here twice for under $11. I liked all their base options (white rice, brown rice, poke rice, romaine, arugula, or spring mix). Most other poke places I've seen only have 3 base options. You get to choose two proteins from choices like scallops, octopus, shrimp, steak, tuna, spicy tuna, eel, etc. All the other poke spots I've been to let you choose 3 proteins. I got spicy tuna and shrimp. Toppings I got were arugula, green onion, red onion, cilantro, imitation crab and a side of spicy mayo. The girth of the burrito was smaller than the sushirittos I've had in San Francisco, San Jose and Denver. So you're getting less for your money but I actually enjoyed the skinnier roll because it was easier and less messy to eat. Outside of the burritos they have poke bowls (of course) and ramen. I tried the regular sized poke bowl (off GrubHub) and thought it was subpar to other poke bowls I've had. I checked that I wanted bonito flakes but they put a ton in my bowl and the sauces were lacking. I did like that they offered over 3 different sauce options. I do not recall them offering the same ones for the poke burrito. I prefer the poke sushi rice with the poke bowl but the online ordering doesn't allow for you to choose that type of rice. The interior is spacious and there are plenty of seats (booths, tables and high bar area). The topping choices all looked fresh (avocado is extra). Their wall says "fun fact: poke doesn't = pokemon." Haha. I'm guessing since we're so far from Hawaii out here in Syracuse, folks aren't as familiar with poke. In California, where I'm from, poke joints are as common as delis. They even sell poke at Costco in California. I'm thrilled that Syracuse finally has a poke spot. I know Original Grain had poke bowls but this place specializes in it! I'm giving it a 5 because it's the only store of its kind in the city! Also, it's conveniently located across from Kung Fu tea. Milk tea and poke bowls are perfect together. They play fun hip hop music here. The worker seemed surprised when I ordered the burrito. They made it quickly. I wish they offered the crunchy fried onion toppings. I thought they'd add it at the end but they never mentioned it. They deliver on Grub Hub as well. The burrito probably is best eaten at the store because the seaweed on the outside can get soggy fast. A bowl would probably be fine with delivery. read more

This is a new spot just opened in destiny USA mall in Syracuse. I actually enjoyed my poke bowl. I don't really do raw sushi but in a poke bowl with rice, that'll do for me. They also have ramen options and sushi burritos, and if you can't make up your mind, just make your own. I feel like Syracuse peeps hasn't discovered what poke is because it's popular in California. I would come back and eat here again. New things are expanding over to the upstate New York. read more

This is ok; I got the miso ramen. It was warm and tasted ok, but it was franchise production line food. There was load music that the staff clearly picked out that was talking about smoking weed, and it was definitely over priced I payed $14 for ramen and a Coke. I'll put it like this if you want a quick noodle dish it's good for a trip to the mall. If you want real Japanese ramen keep looking. read more

This was OK. I didn't try the Poke Bowls so I'll have to come back and try that. Based solely on the Shoyu Ramen however, I found Poke Time to be very OK. Not great and not bad. It leans towards a 4 when it's cold outside, otherwise it's a solid 3 stars. For the price, you get what you pay for. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean. There was a decent number of people coming through. They only have bottled soft drinks. The soft boiled egg was slightly over cooked and the pork was a bit dry. But again, you get what you paid for! Overall, I will likely come back to try their other foods and give them a try! Nice to see more Asian food options on Syracuse. I wish them luck because I've seen 3 restaurants open and close in this location since I moved here two and a half years ago. read more

Seafood Tom Yum was pretty Good. I'll be back again to try some Pok'e. The Portion Size is a bit small Especially for the price compared to Vietnamese Noodle House in North Syracuse. And I like the fresh bean sprouts jalapeños and basil that you get at The Noodle House. All in all pretty decent but more commercial than your traditional sit down restaurant. read more
