The ddukkbokki dish was a weird texture (which I should've surmised) but otherwise taste wise we enjoyed the fried rice. It was on the oilier side but it was savory enough to balance out and justify the oil! (our threshold which is a personal preference) We did takeout so can't speak to service or ambience but they gave us a lot of extra utensils and napkins.

Super cute that we were given smarties on our check in place of mints!

What a strange name for a restaurant - but don't let that stop you! the food here was super delicious!!! I got the Beer Brisket sandwich, which was so tender and flavorful, the everything bun was soft and delicious too! I did not care for the potato salad though, which I paid $2 extra for - without knowing (they really should tell you) - it was VERY VERY heavy on the vinegar - this is the reason for the 4 instead of a 5 rating! My husband got the Gluten Free Buttermilk fried chicken and LOVED every bite of it -- he couldn't believe it was GF! Unfortunately, because we stopped in for lunch on our drive home to Cleveland, we did not partake in any drinks but they had an extensive bar and a great drink menu!

I stopped in for lunch while visiting the area and the service and ambiance was great! I was intrigued by their menu and all the great reviews but was a little disappointed. I was looking forward to the bunny melt with braised rabbit which was tasty but I didn't think it was amazing. My husband had the beef brisket sandwich which he said was dry. They were served with a bag of chips that were basically Lay's crinkle chips which was disappointing and I would have appreciated homemade chips instead. I upgraded my side to the vinegar potato salad which was just okay. The star of our meal was the cold soba noodles, which were so flavorful and delicious! It was a small bowl that we shared as an appetizer but we wished we just had two bowls of that instead. They also had free fentanyl test strips available in the bathroom - an unexpected find but a great way to care for the public who needs them!

What a fun find! A salesperson highly recommended it and then proceeded to tell me the whole menu as their favorites! They didn't lie! I had never had fried rice like that and wish I had the time to have tried a few more things off the menu. The bar was pretty and it was clear that this was a local favorite. They had long community tables in the middle and more intimate seat along the perimeter; I liked the mix. The staff were friendly and served you with a smile. I loved that your check came with a pack of Smarties! I haven't had a treat that wasn't a fortune cookie come with a check in forever. I wish I lived closer!

Ridiculously good if limited menu. As vegetarians we were limited to a few choices. BUT the hard boiled egg sandwich -- feta, pickled beets, aioli -- and the dinner salad -- Caesar(ish), with fried tofu, halloumi -- were absolutely stellar. Great cocktail (Old Fashioned). Wish they opened up more of their by-the-bottle wine list for by-the-glass. (My only quibble.) Lovely ambience. Music at just the right volume for a date night. Winner!

Great addition to the culinary scene on Market Street and desperately needed, too. Self described as a "Convivial bistro pairing creative, seasonal sandwiches & mains with craft beer & cocktails," immediately you recognize this is not another burger, wings, and mozzarella stick bar scene. Much more! Our group of six waited about 15 minutes on a busy Thursday night to be seated. All the food was excellent, thoughtfully designed, and executed flawlessly. Service was professional while remaining lighthearted and fun. Ya know, convivial! Great job. Wonderful variety. Good value. Has all the bells and whistles sounding on my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. No brainer--dine here.

Fried chicken sandwich - which ended up being devoured by my kids

A must-stop when your in Corning. Challenging part was deciding which sandwich to go with. Ended up sharing the salmon melt and beer brisket. Both blew my mind they were so good. I would slap that dill sauce from the salmon sandwich on pretty much anything; the hint of lemon was so refreshing. And can't not mention that beer cheese sauce - salty & tangy, a perfect accompaniment to the tender beef. It would be hard not to order these sandwiches again. We also shared the Amish bread (pretzel), which had a great tang, slightly sour flavor that was well-balanced with bacon crumbles, cheese, and more cheese for dipping. Kids menu not written, but included chicken fingers, grilled cheese, pb&j (grilled?), and fluffernutter, all served with chips. Inside the seating was a bit different - some small tops and one really large table were multiple parties could sit at. It worked well and you could eavesdrop and see what other people were eating - hehehe. No complaints with service - regular check-backs and made sure everyone was satisfied with their food and drinks. I wish I lived closer to this spot. I'm already ready to go back!

Chicken sandwich- awesome. Homemade bread and butter pickles- awesome. Potato salad also awesome. What a great place to eat lunch after visiting the museum. The bartenders were very nice and despite being busy, they were on it. Great atmosphere with exposed brick and lots of seating. Oh, lots of craft brews on draft too!

Smarties with the check! A sweet touch.

The sandwiches were fantastic, and hot coffee hit the spot on the rainy drizzly day that it was. Umbrella in hand, we walked the town and came back to the cafe for more coffee and to get snacks to go. Everything was so tasty and the old world charm truly makes it a delightful experience. The old counter, the cute tables and chairs, everything was so perfect... just the type of place I love. I can't wait to go back!

There are two counters: you can order ice cream from the first counter near the main entrance, and sandwiches and salads and baked goods from the cafe counter in the back. The ice cream is mostly Hershey's but they currently have one housemade gelato and one sorbetto that rotates. The ice cream counter also has novelty candy and ice cream for sale, but if you go in back to the cafe counter, they have higher quality locally produced and imported candies along with other pantry stuff like jam and tea. I've stopped here a few times. The sandwiches have been fantastic (globe sandwich and Moroccan wrap). The carrot cake was just okay, a little dry if I remember correctly, but the coconut custard pie I tried this time was perfect and not too sweet or heavy. They also do a good (and pretty big) malt milkshake. Service is fast enough and generally friendly.
