Before going to the restaurant, we ensured we had money because we saw on the website that they only accepted cash. So please if you are going to have breakfast here make sure to bring some money or you can get cash at the ATM in the pizzeria next door to the restaurant. My family and I had a great experience. The ambience was very homey. I felt like I stepped into my grandma's house for breakfast. The waitress was very friendly and kind. The breakfast was delicious and at a very reasonable price. The menu is nothing fancy, just good basic food, plenty of coffee, and a pleasant staff. Everything was just as it should be. For breakfast, i ordered crispy bacon, French toast with no syrup or sugar. It was perfect, 2 slices with real butter. My partner ordered scrambled eggs, rye toast, and bacon. It was our last day in Corning. Instead of eating anything from our free breakfast we decided we need to try Donna's. Very cute and homey restaurant. Feels like you're sitting at a friends table. We just ordered pancakes, haven't had them in ages and they didn't disappoint! I had a hot chocolate that comes with real whipped cream not the at airy stuff out of the can. The pancakes were light and fluffy, 3 nice sized pancakes. There was a chocolate cake at the counter that looked wonderful! Too early for me though. I should've taken a piece home. They also have eggs Benedict which looked delish going to the next table. Clean, very nice staff. Definitely worth a stop for breakfast or brunch. They are closed by 2pm. Lots of really excellent homemade bakery goods too. Service is super fast and friendly, with cute tables and fun decor. They make you feel like family once you walk through the door. Donna and her staff are all very friendly and attentive. We stopped in for breakfast passing through. It's street parking so there's plenty of spaces still at 8 and 9 am since most of the surrounding businesses don't open until 10 or 11. If you are looking for home cooking breakfast Donna's is your place to get it. I had a omelette and my husband had scrambled eggs. The decor of the old bowls and casserole baking dishes from the 50 60's and 70's brings back memories to reminisce about when life was at a much slower pace and everyone knew everyone. Also it was so very nice to see people actually speaking to each other and some drinking their coffee while reading the newspaper instead of people on their phones. Unfortunately nobody on the wait staff was wearing a mask, and the chef was visible cooking food with their mask underneath their chin. Cool little dive on Market Street, reminiscent of the 1950's. The decor is nothing to write home about but it's cute and quirky with it's spinning arm chairs at the tables and a long bar to eat at if you so choose. I had a roasted turkey sandwich and it was fine. Then came the deserts and there were plenty to choose from and apparently made daily for freshness. We were visiting family and found this lovely diner. This diner is located in downtown Corning. It's on the corner and very cute charm about it. We had to try it. They were clean, incredibly fast, a pleasant server (Donna), and laid back atmosphere. I had the egg wrap which was tasty and fresh. All the food we had was fresh and tasted great. The mini juices, pineapple and grapefruit was delicious. The coffee was bold and flavorful too. It helped us get up (wake up) out of the super hot mornings there. Donna is a very very friendly lady.
