    Only cash

The reviews sounded amazing. I got there at 11:45AM and it is closed. They also don't take debit or credit cards, so, be prepared with cash. Since I travel constantly on business and never have any cash for expenses, I don't think I've used cash at a restaurant in a few years. I really, really wanted to try it.

Cute little restaurant. Breakfast is like any other diner food at a very reasonable price point. Service was fast and polite. Note: the restaurant is cash only.

This homey little place has it going for them, with a great location and down to earth prices. People love it here. The menu is nothing fancy, just good basic food, plenty of coffee, and a pleasant staff. Everything was just as it should be. For breakfast, i ordered crispy bacon, French toast with no syrup or sugar. It was perfect, 2 slices with real butter. My partner ordered scrambled eggs, rye toast, and bacon. All were out of the kitchen really quickly and correct. Coffee refills were readily available. The bill was about $15 for all. We will be back

I was walking by and decided to stop in. The waitress stopped by quickly and took my order. Sadly I just missed the breakfast menu so ordered a bunless burger and cole slaw. The restaurant is like walking into grandma's house ;) The food arrived. The cole slaw was a bit bland as well as the burger. I did like the fixings (onion, lettuce, tomato) for the burger which were generous and tasty.

It was our last day in Corning. Instead of eating anything from our free breakfast we decided we need to try Donna's. Very cute and homey restaurant. Feels like you're sitting at a friends table. We just ordered pancakes, haven't had them in ages and they didn't disappoint! I had a hot chocolate that comes with real whipped cream not the at airy stuff out of the can. The pancakes were light and fluffy, 3 nice sized pancakes. There was a chocolate cake at the counter that looked wonderful! Too early for me though. I should've taken a piece home. They also have eggs Benedict which looked delish going to the next table. Clean, very nice staff. Definitely worth a stop for breakfast or brunch. They are closed by 2pm. Don't miss breakfast here and the prices are easy on the pocket

Homey and lovely. Donna and her staff are great. Get whatever she has baked that day. You won't regret it.

Excellent home style breakfast! Service was fast and polite. Portions were excellent and you simply cannot beat the price, it is cash only but worth a trip to the ATM if you need to. We got a tea, coffee, omelette, oatmeal, and French toast for $23! Would come back again.

Steak breakfast sandwich. Everything is made fresh. Excellent Ho made pies are to die for.

There's no staff, just the owner/chef/waiter, and because everything is cooked fresh (obviously a good thing) it's SLOOOOW. My wife and I were the only customers (mid afternoon), and we were there for almost 90 minutes. She liked her lunch burrito a lot, and it looked great. But my ham and egg sandwich was way too salty for my taste. Having said that, it was on very good, thick, fresh bread. Mac & cheese ohh so yummy and such a huge portion, and it was only a side portion. The wings..... the best I've had in such a long time. Perfectly cooked. Generous and flavorful sauce. We ordered the Rodeo Mac and Cheese and the Bacon Chicken Ranch Mac and Cheese (both in the whole size--think 5-6 cups each!), plus the Rodeo Burger, which comes topped with BBQ pulled pork and crispy onion straws. We ate downstairs, though there's a bar upstairs if that's more your vibe. Our waitress was super friendly and even tried to warn us that one whole mac would be plenty--but we wanted to try both flavors, so next-day leftovers were just part of the plan. Pricing felt very reasonable for the giant portions and the quality. Mooney's is one of those restaurants that knows exactly what it does well--and does it really well. We'd definitely come back!

We tried the 1/4 lb platter. With fries and potato salad. The pulled pork was amazing. Great flavor and very tender. The smoked sausage was as good as any smoked sausage I have had in upstate NY. The chicken was also very tender and had a good smoked flavor. The ribs had a lot of flavor and were not over cooked like some places do. The brisket.... Was brisket.... Maybe it wasn't made today which is fine. It tasted more like a roast than a brisket. My wife and I differ on our opinions of BBQ houses. I like to try the meats before I put any sauce on. My wife like it covered beforehand. This place doesn't smother it but does put it on before I got a chance to try the meats. The potato salad was ok but not bursting in flavor. I have been coming here since i was a little lad, it had completely fallen down hill since the main guy hasn't been here that much. They only do soft serve ice cream, I would say their specialty would be milkshakes. The woman told me they had the best milkshakes so I wanted to see if this was true. I can't say it's the best milkshake I've ever had, but it was pretty good. My only issue with this milkshake is the fact that it is soft serve vanilla ice cream and a chocolate milk. You remember the days when you were a kid and got the carton of chocolate milk for lunch? Yeah, that kind, from that exact carton. There are different flavors: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and a few others I can't remember. Some people may like the style, not really my cup of ice cream but I like the concept of this store. I like the walk-by window to order. You don't have to go inside to order, you can be walking along the street and see it and order from the sidewalk. I love that style, it's unique and it works well for a quick bite like a hot dog. You can get the "works" on it and then keep shopping! GOOD IDEA. Side note: I don't eat hot dogs so I can't really say how those taste, but when I walk into the actual store, it reminds me of the ball fields as a kid. Going to the concession stand to buy a hot dog [when I ate them] and soda. Good memories.
