Went here for the Sunday brunch and it was great! Got the smoked wings. They were cooked really well. The sauces with good. I would hey them again. The tater tots were nice and crispy! The sour cream and ranch that they came with really did the trick to take them up a notch. My mom got the brisket sandwich and it was really really good. I love fattier brisket, so it definitely sufficed. The Mac salad was pretty good. It wasn't sweet like people usually make it which I did enjoy. I ended up getting a side to go. The service was quick and the atmosphere was welcoming and definitely gave you the barbecue joint feel.

My kid took one bite of his ribs and had a religious experience. So that's the whole review. I jest. A small place but on a Thursday night the wait was short. Great service the whole time. Food came out quickly. Legit BBQ. Started with the pickles which were excellent and an interesting mix of flavors. Hubby got pulled pork sandwich which officially ranked above our all time favorite BBQ spot in SC. That's saying something. The kid got the aforementioned ribs and ate them clean. The tots were on point. The kid made us all try them. I had the chili and cornbread. Y'all. The cornbread was perfect. I prefer sweet cornbread and this was it. Great beer list on tap for the hubby. I had two different cans. So now I need to find NY cider in MD.

If you're in Corning and looking for some delicious BBQ, Nickel's Is the place to be. me and my wife were very happy with this find. We shared a combo meal which was the perfect amount of meat deliciousness, the service and atmosphere was absolutely perfect to couple with the snow and lights right out the window. We'll definitely becoming back to try more of the menu.

Wanted bbq and found this spot nearby the hotel we're staying at. Service was super friendly and attentive. Seated right away and when asked for recommendations was told the flying pigs and the brisket were most often ordered. So we decided to order those as well. Food did not disappoint. The flying pigs were amazing. Get the nickel dry rub and use any of the sauces on the table. For the brisket combo we got cornbread and tots as sides. Wifey loved the brisket and the cornbread. The tots were flavorful as well. Everything was great and delish. Would definitely recommend this place for bbq. Wouldn't mind coming back to try the other items on the menu.

Great food and friendly service. The stand out appetizer was the deep fried pickles. Great breading and the pickles are still crispy with seasoning. Not an easy accomplishment to get a nice crispy pickles when getting a good deep fry. The original brisket sandwich was spot on. I had it "wecked" like a traditional beef on Weck. Good combination and a different take than I have ever had before. Space is limited so large groups might be difficult to get seated. We did some shopping next door on Market Street so the time flew for our wait.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon thought it'd be quiet but ended up waiting for a half an hour. The interior was clean but there're spotted flies. We ordered the briskets with no high hopes but it turns out to be phenomenal! Juicy and tender--very much beyond our expectation! Another nice surprise is their sauces--blended well with their meet. Tots were a bit over fried, Mac salad is tasty! Best brisket for a bbq restaurant!

I stopped here with my wife for dinner. I ordered the brisket. It was fork tender and delicious. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The draft beer selection was good. It was clean inside and good atmosphere.

Very popular restaurant on the strip, that has a pretty good bar. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so depending on the day and time. You may have a long wait, and they do not take reservations. In all fun place to go to, but the food is just decent. Wings- you have plenty of choices to choose from. I ordered the dry rub Bbq (10) and the chipotle honey mustard (10). Both choices were delicious, and I loved the fact they were crispy. Brisket- Nice thick sliced pieces of meat, that had the right amount of smoke flavor. I would say though, the brisket needed just a little more time smoked. That way they would've came out more tender. Ribs-(not shown) The ribs tasted like they were steamed or even boiled. Yes they fell off the bone, but I don't like my ribs prepared like that. I like seeing a smoke ring, and having a slight tug of resistance when I bite into a rib. I also prefer having the bbq sauce smoked or grilled onto the meat. These ribs come with no sauce, and you choose what you would like from the bbq sauce carousel at the table.

Being from North Carolina makes me a little bias when it comes to bbq but this place really impressed me. The location is a cute spot in the downtown area. They do have parking available out front and across the straight all as parallel parking. There are other back parking lots close by. I was told it's a local brunch favorite and to get there early because it fills up quick. This was definitely true for my visit, the restaurant has limited seating but you can also sit at their bar if the tables are occupied. Our waiter Paul greeted, sat, and served us and he was great. I loved that they had their own sauces (the Carolina BBQ was my personal favorite) and you can also purchase them to take home. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were decent so come hungry! I can't wait to come back to try their dinner menu.

If you're looking for a cozy BBQ restaurant that has great service, good food and awesome music then you'll definitely want to check out Nickel's BBQ Pit. After spending a day at the local museums in Corning my family and I decided to dine at Nickel's. This was our first time visiting but definitely will not be the last. My husband and I opted for their platter that comes with a generous serving of all their meats and 2 sides. We couldn't decide on just one item so having this platter as a menu option was perfect. Our platter contained sliced brisket, chopped brisket (with sauce), smoked turkey, pulled pork, pig wings, chicken wings and 1/4 rack of ribs. Wow! Was all we could say when it was brought to our table. While everything was very tasty I can say my favorite item on the platter was their smoked turkey. I am a "white meat" type of girl and this was by far the best smoked turkey I've ever eaten. I'm looking for dining again at either this location or their Watkins Glen location in the warmer seasons.

The food here far exceeded our expectations! Our waitress was friendly and handled the rush as best she could -- it really got busy after we sat down. The wings were honestly some of the best I've ever had, and the hot barbecue sauce took them to the next level. My pork taco was so loaded I had to deconstruct it, and every bite was phenomenal. I also snagged a few bites of the brisket sandwich -- rich and tender (my partner thought it was a touch fatty but still loved it). And those tater tots? Crispy, golden perfection. The incredible flavor and tenderness of the wings, pork, and brisket easily make this a 5-star spot. Definitely beyond average -- we're so glad we stopped here on our weekend getaway!

In Corning we thought we would stop when going through Watkins Glen when Yelp let us know they have a location in Corning! We both ordered the pork and brisket combo with Mac salad but I chose greens for the second side and he chose French fries. No downplay there the fries were awesome when I stole a few but the greens were garlicky delicious. The brisket was perfect cherry smoke fork tender and juicy plays well by itself but the homemade bbq sauces are amazing. The pulled pork was tender juicy and flavorful! I used the pickled onions and pickles for my Mac salad which had onion and a hint of sweet gave it more flavor and added a dab of red hot bbq sauce for some zing. Portions were good size. Place is small with a bar that seats about 6 warm and welcoming ambiance very clean place. Large windows let a lot of light in. Was a chilly breezy day but the cold air was quickly overridden by a heat unit over the door never felt cold. In the middle of town and lots of great shops nearby.

We tried the 1/4 lb platter. With fries and potato salad. The pulled pork was amazing. Great flavor and very tender. The smoked sausage was as good as any smoked sausage I have had in upstate NY. The chicken was also very tender and had a good smoked flavor. The ribs had a lot of flavor and were not over cooked like some places do. The brisket.... Was brisket.... Maybe it wasn't made today which is fine. It tasted more like a roast than a brisket. My wife and I differ on our opinions of BBQ houses. I like to try the meats before I put any sauce on. My wife like it covered beforehand. This place doesn't smother it but does put it on before I got a chance to try the meats. The potato salad was ok but not bursting in flavor. I wondered if it had really been barbecued. I didn't finish it. The ribs were okay, but not enough to make up for the brisket. The only part of the meal I really liked was the broccoli, which had been cooked with bacon. The plate below, with ¼ pound each of ribs and brisket, cole slaw, small corn muffin, and broccoli, was $47 including tax and tip. Price, service, and atmosphere were all acceptable, I have no complaints there. But the food was not good enough to bring me back.

Definitely a spot where you could linger for a while. Food-wise, we ordered the fried rice with crispy chicken (breaded in crushed Cheerios--yes, Cheerios, and yes, surprisingly delicious!), the bánh mì, and the crispy chicken sandwich, which ended up being the star of the show. Every bite of that sandwich was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and satisfying. We upgraded our side to the greens, which came topped with some mysterious orange ingredient--maybe a grated carrot dressing? Whatever it was, it was scrumptious. We also ordered a side of pickles, which were surprisingly affordable and so flavorful that they disappeared fast. We didn't try any drinks, but the menu had plenty of interesting options to choose from. One of my favorite parts of the experience was how family-friendly the place felt: while we waited, the kids grabbed a new-to-us game (The Enchanted Forest) from the board game shelves, which made the time fly by.
