Good basic breakfast. Yummy pancakes and corned beef hash. Good service. It's a Las Vegas Raiders Bar with associated decor.

There's something unique about the burger here. It's not gourmet, just good chow down. I would categorize it as a good diner burger.

But...we got there around 12:00 and there were several people in there but also multiple tables open. The hostess ignored us and went straight to the people that just walked in after us (it was obvious we got there first)- then she didn't even address us or greet us... so we picked out a seat and then menus were brought to us. The guy behind the counter came to get our order- he seemed kind of standoffish. I noticed we also got a different presentation of food with chips in a paper bag rather than plated with our food like the others? The food seemed to be good but honestly was overshadowed by the uncomfortable feeling we were being treated differently? We were the only people of color during that time- and all of us felt like that could've been a factor... Otherwise, I try to stay impartial- so the vibe was cute and the food was good- but the experience was not comfortable

I have family who live nearby Butcher's Son and have raved how awesome the burgers are for a while…read morenow. Fourth of July 2025 weekend, I finally had a chance to grab a burger with them and holy moly, they were so right - This might be the best burger I've ever eaten! We arrived around 3:30pm on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to grab a parking spot on the street, practically right in front of the entrance to Butcher's Son! They're located at one end of Market St. in Corning, now I don't frequent Corning often so I don't know if there's a big parking lot or more side streets to park along, but I could definitely foresee this street being packed with people and cars during the week. I think the time we arrived was a big part as to why we had no trouble getting a parking spot as well as being able to easily find a table after placing our order. The three of us walked in and it really is a butcher shop that has a small menu of burgers, fries, and specialty sandwiches (I saw a steak sandwich on their menu). There was a large, bar-style table with stools to sit along in the front with a station full of cutlery, napkins, packaged ketchup, stuff like that, nothing too fancy but clean and orderly. A courteous, friendly gentleman took our food order and told us to grab a seat anywhere we like and they'd get our food to us. We ended up taking over one of the tables, with an umbrella, outside and we were the only ones out there! It was nice to sit, talk, hang out for a bit, the relaxed, quiet atmosphere was nice. About 10-15 minutes later, all of orders were boxed up and brought out to us. For my late lunch/early dinner meal, I ordered the Fun Guy Burger, which is two smashed beef patties topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions, bacon jam, and Swiss cheese, along with a side of their hand-cut shoestring fries. Oh. My. Goodness! Wow, was this burger out of this world good. That had to be the freshest, juiciest, perfectly-cooked burger patties I have ever eaten. There were tons of sautéed mushrooms and onions on top and they were incredibly generous with the bacon jam. The Swiss cheese was melted just right and paired so well with the other toppings. The bun was toasted and held everything together very well. The burger itself is big and is honestly the perfect portion as you'll certainly be full without feeling any sort of "meat sweats"! haha They were very generous with the portion of fries as well. Personally, I liked the way these fries were cooked where they weren't crispy/crunchy but they weren't limp at all. Whatever they were fried in gave these fries an awesome flavor without having a ton of salt and pepper thrown on them. I really liked their fries; I'm not a huge fry-person but these would probably be at the top of my list. Another thing that I have to call out was how reasonable their prices were. Coming from Buffalo, burger prices are really expensive for what you get but Butcher's Son, my meal - burgers, fries, water, probably came near $20, maybe a few cents over that, which in 2025, is phenomenal value! My family told me that Butcher's Son came in first place in the New York Beef Council's "Best NY Burger" competition for 2025. My family and the competition judges are spot on and Butcher's Son totally deserves, and earned, the accolades and awards. Everything from the staff, the focused menu, the quality food, the portions, are great! Next time I'm in Corning, I can't wait to come back here and grab another burger and fries!

We're visiting. It's summer (Jul 2026). This place has "beer" in its name…read more After a drive down from Ithaca NY, we needed a little pick-me-up. Burgers & Beer of Corning had about 25 beers on tap, half of them crafts. We had to have a Labbatt Blue, a 4% pilsener, mellow, lightly malty. A good old beer, easier to find here than in Baltimore. One of us likes sours, so we got a Rising Storm Berry Pomegranate It Was Written IPA - Sour. It was a pretty purplish color. The flavor was mostly tart-berries without much that was distinctively either pomegranate or hops. I'd ask the bar not to rely on only this as the sour on tap. But kudos for the adventure of trying a unique local brew! This was a pleasant casual semi-dark bar with as many brew choices as there are hours in the day. Food, too, if you like. Order at the window, pick-up when you hear the buzz. Get buzzed. Mission accomplished.

The bar was empty aside from one guy sitting at the bar. As we walk in we heard the bartender say "f*cking, of course." She then proceeded to stomp around banging things. A server was standing in the dining area And I asked "are you not open, we can go someplace else." She told me "no it's fine, we're open til 8:00 don't worry about that" and gestured at the bar. We sat there until 6:00 listening to her swear and complain that we'd walked in, with no one coming to bring menus or anything. My kids even were like "whys she mad dad I thought they were open." And "why haven't they come to take our order?" We finally just got up and left, as as we did the bartender was just standing staring at us the server who'd told us to come in was sitting playing on her phone, and what looked like the kitchen guy was sitting on a bar stool staring at us to. I thanked them for their hospitality and we left. Definitely wouldn't go back to that unfriendly place.

Had a delightful experience at this Market Street location in Corning. Welcoming, playful atmosphere with friendly and attentive service. I had been craving chicken wings, so the boyfriend and I ordered a 10 count of gold bbq chicken wings. To be fair, this might have been a mistake given the ample size of the mac 'n cheeses that we had each ordered too...but c'est la vie. The gold bbq was delicious and we made it through 8 of the 10 wings before our mac 'n cheese bowls arrived. My Kenny Pow Supreme mac 'n cheese came with sausage, onion, green peppers, pepperoni, and bacon mixed in & was topped with cheddar cheese, as well as panko for some extra texture. Even after not having eaten anything else that day before the chicken wings, I could only make it through about 1/3 of the whole size mac 'n cheese before tapping out... but omg, was it tasty. TL;DR Love the vibe, delicious food, and great staff. Will definitely be back!

Well, at Mooney's in Corning NY, Mac & Cheese should be capitalized. Sure, you can get a regular flavor topped with panko crumbs. They also create more than 20 more varieties! with ingredients like lobster & mozzarella, taco beef, stuffed peppers, buffalo or bacon-ranch chicken, pepperoni & pizza-sauce, beef with pulled-pork or bacon, scampi or cajun shrimp, a BLT mac, a Philly cheesesteak mac, a rueben mac, even a good old beef on weck version! Plus a monthly-changing feature. What we had was generous and scrumptious: one named for their pal Kenny Pow: Sausage, onions, green peppers, pepperoni, and bacon, with cheddar and panko. Our favorite deluxe pizza in a mac & cheese! Our other one: a luscious spinach & tender sweet artichoke-heart mac & cheese. Oh my! We could eat mac & cheese here every day! I'd try their 30min 6-LB challenge if they let me try all of them :-)
