Quincy Exchange is a cute, classy American restaurant located in downtown Corning. Once you enter, you immediately notice the bright, modern decor. The wine store is located adjacent to the restaurant on the left and a hostess will greet you to the restaurant located on the right. I strongly recommend making reservations here! FOOD Their menu consists of oysters, salads, pasta and a few staple entrees. We ended up sharing: -Shaved Spring Vegetable Salad. This was very refreshing! It was light and flavors mixed well -Spaghetti Carbonara. This was delicious. The pasta was very fresh and you can get either a half or the full size portion to share. -Steak Frites....AMAZING. The steak was individually sliced and the texture of the crispy herbed potatoes were cooked in a way that were so delicious! You can also opt to add onions, butter, blue cheese or truffle mayo for an additional $3 each. SERVICE The staff was friendly and attentive. Hospitality is already included in the menu prices. This would be a great spot for a date night or a classy dinner with friends/family. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing Birthday Dinner at The Quincy Exchange! Thank you Kelly O'Conner for the amazing hospitality. The restaurant sits in an old bank and is beautifully decorated. We started with: Ichiban Oysters from the Puget Sound - simple and delicious. Crab Deviled Eggs - super cream and rich with crab. (Note: The picture has 3 and this was a special birthday amuse-bouche). Root Vegetable Salad - complex and a great example of the combinations of flavors you will experience at an FLX restaurant. It had the earthiness of the root vegetables, combined the creaminess of Brie d'Amir, and Asian flavors (Honey-Miso Vinaigrette and Black Sesame Seeds). For entrees we had: Butternut Squash & Lentil Curry - this dish had a wonderful kick and combined the flavors of Cipollini Onions, Almond Milk Curry, Broccoli, Kumquats, and Crème Fraîche along with the Butternut Squash. Steelhead Trout - this dish was amazing! It was served with Israeli Cous Cous, Frisée, Butternut Squash, and Sauce Grenobloise. Lobster Mac N Cheese - Girelle Pasta tossed in a light cheese sauce and tons of lobster. And to finish the meal we had Panna Cotta and Hazelnut Dacquoise. Both were incredible and a great way to end an amazing meal. The wine list is filled with some very interesting and unique wines. We had an amazing Rioja. We happened to be staying close by, so we walked to the restaurant, but there is ample street parking. The Quincy Exchange is a must if you are in Corning or nearby!

Came in for dinner. I ordered the Quincy Burger with greens, while my partner requested the Chicken Cassoulet. While the service was excellent, the meals were a bit pricey for what is on offer. The inside is clean and modern, although it was a little sparse with the decor. I don't know if we would return with so many other options in the area.

My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves here. Definitely a higher end dinner spot around $30-$40 a plate. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Food was pretty good. My wife enjoyed the lamb meatballs and cheeseboard. The duck was cooked perfectly, but the the sauce and cabbage clashed a bit. Overall great experience!

Delicious classical bistro and lots of fusion options. I enjoyed the calamari and burger. The Koji on the burger was a game changer.

The first thing you notice is that this is a huge brew house. We thought it was closed because there's a sit-down area in the front before you get to the back where the bar is and the bartender was. It's a converted house. We sat by the bar. Since we were a tad bit hungry, we shared some potato skins which hit the spot. Unlike your typical potato skins, these were thick but fried just right so the potatoes were cooked all the way through, the cheese was melted, and the bacon was crisp. Kind of like a deep dish version of potato skins. I always appreciate a solid beer list and as a brew house, Carey's had just that. They even had my favorite beer, Delirium, which I couldn't help but get to go. Service was solid.

When we came in the room was very nicely decorated and we were seated immediately. The server was wearing blue jeans and a tea shirt with writing on it which I've never seen at any tea. The tea choices, teapot and brand of tea were all superb!! When they brought out the 3 tiered tray, I was terribly disappointed. I have NEVER seen any mini tea sandwich served on a slider hamburger bun! NEVER! All high tears have freshly baked scones with lemon curd and clotted cream. There was NONE. The baked goods were extremely dry. There was a "biscuit" that must have been missing an ingredient as it was bigger and 2x the thickness of a hockey puck. Extremely dry and inedible. Choking down 1 bite was all I could do. Other items like the fudge came directly from the local grocery store. This was just wrong.

The most incredible (and only) speakeasy in the Finger Lakes…read more After hours of driving, we knew we needed a cool spot to go to at night for some delicious wine. Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. This place is a GEM and you should absolutely check it out and support it if you're in the area. If you're not, well now you have a place I know you'll love to go to!

The place was totally empty, which is to expected at that time. Bar Argos is definitely a vibe. Think: antique chic with a touch of eccentric elegance. Ornate chairs, old-school lamps, and fancy mismatched furniture are scattered throughout, making you feel like you've wandered into a vintage movie set where cocktails play a leading role. There are multiple rooms, including one with a long table and huge windows that let the light spill in dramatically. I was lowkey stunned by how pretty it all was. Girlfriend and I shared the Clarified Lassi ($13), which is under the "Delightfully Unusual" section of their cocktail spectrum - right in between "Colloquial" and "What?!" It was fruity, creamy, and weird in a cool, sophisticated way. My Hotelie friend later explained in the car (upon mention of the drink) that clarified cocktails use a process where milk is added to a mixed drink and then curdled on purpose. The curds trap impurities, and when you strain them out, you're left with a crystal-clear drink that still has the creamy mouthfeel. Definitely checks out with the Clarified Lassi that we drank... Overall, the experience felt like stepping into a fancy secret. 10/10 would come back, undoubtedly!!
