Wanted to try something new and this caught my eye. What a great lunch! Perfectly packaged and tasty! The portions for me equaled two meals. Good price. Received via DoorDash, would definitely like to try eating in next time. read more

Fusia Bento Bar - 14. General Tso's Chicken Bento - Chinese Near Me - Ithaca, New York

Bento boxes are like my favorite thing since I was like a child. everything is neatly organized and fun, so to have a restaurant that focuses on bento boxes with a large variety of everything is great for me. Everything was tasty. Everything tastes fresh, every time I pass by it's always busy and popular , service was fast and friendly. It was clean inside. I think I'll go back there again today for lunch now, I'm craving it thinking about it but yeah, you know first time I went there. I was moving on packing and it just hit the spot so well definitely try it out. It's great because you get such a tasty variety on your plate. read more

Fusia Bento Bar - Chinese Near Me - Ithaca, New York

In my three years in Ithaca, I've dined at Fusia Bento Bar a few times, and each visit has been a bit of an adventure, strictly from their Japanese food menu (I'm not the biggest Chinese food fan). Picture this: One evening, when everything else was full or closed, I decided to give their bento box a try. It was a gamble that didn't pay off. What a letdown! The food tasted just passable, like something you'd reluctantly grab at a mall food court after a long day of shopping. Definitely not worth the price. On another night, when options were limited again, I found myself back at Fusia, giving their ramen a shot. To my surprise, it was pretty good! I thought, "Hey, maybe I've found a hidden gem!" Here's the kicker: In all my time in Ithaca, never once have I found myself saying, "Hmm, I'm really craving Fusia Bento Bar tonight." It just doesn't happen. Fusia Bento Bar is that backup plan when all the better options are closed, or the lines are way too long. read more

I often crave the shrimp stew with sweet potato noodles (sometimes I get it extra spicy sometimes not). They're generous with the shrimps--six PHAT MEATY PRAWNS WITH HEAD ATTACHED (which makes it better btw)-- and the broth is *drools* During certain hours you can also do their rice soup and (I think it was three) items lunch special. Some of their food items are better than others. You do not come here for nice ambiance or sweet service. It's one of those you order good food and you sit down and eat when it's ready places lol read more

Fusia Bento Bar - Spicy Shrimp Stew - Chinese Near Me - Ithaca, New York

While I was originally excited to try Fusia Bento Bar, my experiences thus far have been a let down. My most recent order was delayed - multiple times - and arrived needing some serious reheating. The packaging they use for delivery of items such as ramen or steamed buns aren't effective either... for example, the paper bowl for the ramen is way too small for the amount of noodles included. I appreciate their noodle-related generosity, but if that's the default quantity then you need a better packaging option. Also, my steamed buns arrived wet and soggy... making them completely unappetizing. They also - like my ramen - lacked any flavor. I've tried these kinds of dishes - like pork katsu donburi, ramen, or steamed buns - all over, including Seattle, Honolulu, Boston (esp. Chinatown), and so on. I wasn't expecting the dishes from Fusia to be amazing or completely on par (this is Ithaca, after all), but I wanted at least something above "blah". This food? This wasn't (and hasn't been) it... it's blah. I'm giving 2 stars for the menu that provides decent options for those more veggie-minded... and the eggrolls from here are decent. Otherwise, I'm honestly just over it and I don't think I'll be back. P.S. Just realizing I ordered both Fried Rice (+ $2.50) and an extra Egg Roll (+ $1.50) to go along with my order of Pork Katsu Donburi... and I received neither addition... the rice was white, and there was no extra eggroll. Gggggrrrrrr... read more

Food is generally fine and a decent price. However, I recently got the chicken fried rice and it was so awful I have to leave this review. I like this place but the fried rice is absolutely terrible. read more

So yummy! We were pretty impressed. The host said the food would be 20 minutes and it came out on time and cooked fresh. Happy with our chicken broccoli bento and orange chicken bento. The crab Rangoon had more cream cheese than actual crab but still tasty. I loved my Shumai. Super satisfied with this spontaneous stop here. read more

This place is one of my fav ! Def also worth what u pay, I always have leftovers and it's so delicious

Pretty good food for value. Sometimes the service at the front is not great. Ambiance is nice though, can be a good place to sit. It's also nice that you can order on your phone to your table and don't even have to go to the front and wait in line. read more

Relatively small but busy restaurant. Good Japanese and Asian food, efficient waitresses. The picture is Miso Japanese ramen, delicious as expected. Notice: Need to clear the table by yourself, as noted on signs. Do not sit in front of the door during winter. All the wind would come in and blow right into your face. read more

We came across Fusia Bento after hiking up from one of the gorges and decided to try it out. The food was excellent, loved the bento style and the variety of food. If you're in the area stop by, especially if you need energy for the trek back downtown. read more

Very big portions of all the food, including the soup. I paid $17 including tip for the general tso's bento box with hot and sour soup (a $1.50 upgrade). I ordered ahead and did initially think this was expensive for one meal, but because I'm now able to get two meals out of it it feels worth it. I ordered and picked it up about 20 min later and the food was ready to go and still hot by the time I was able to eat it. My only complaint was that the chicken tasted a bit too salty for my taste. I don't think I'd get the general tso again because of this, but I'd definitely try another meal here. read more

Fusia Bento Bar - Hand for reference of how huge the portions are! - Chinese Near Me - Ithaca, New York

Overall, this place was a lot better than I expected! It was open for dine in, which I was very shocked about. Additionally, it is very spacious inside and very comforting. The food wasn't the best, but I got the general tso chicken, and I thought it was pretty good. Also, we ordered the food online, and it was ready on time. Overall, I would go back, but it is not a place I would be extremely excited to return to. read more

Fusia always delivers!! I love getting the bento box, it's only $17 and comes with so much delicious stuff. Portions are also generous, I can usually get 2 meals out of it. I also like to upgrade from miso soup to wonton soup for only $2 more. Vegetables and chicken are always so tender, rice perfectly cooked, and dumplings and seaweed salad fresh and flavorful. Very reliable spot! read more

Fusia Bento Bar - Chicken Broccoli Bento - Chinese Near Me - Ithaca, New York

I really really like this place and the people and am leaving 4 star because of the historically good food for price. HOWEVER, the last few times I've had their chicken (general Tsos is my go to) it has been very dry and tough to the point where I can't eat some pieces. I'm only hoping they see this review and change something because this was never a problem before but now it seems like it's happening more frequently. This was such a nice option since it's relatively cheap for the amount of pretty good food but I can't keep coming back if their chicken stays the same. read more

right off cornell's campus and closes at 10pm, which are huge pros. unfortunately, the food leaves a bit to be desired. the entrees are pretty standard for american chinese cuisine, with some real misses on the menu (the orange chicken is BAD). the service here is pretty good though you might wait a while for your food. if it's busy, expect a 20-30 minute wait. the vibe inside is pretty chill, just wish the food was better than average. still worth checking out though. read more

I didn't hear many good things about the bento boxes so I opted for the entrees. I got the beef broccoli and chicken teriyaki which came with miso soup and rice. The vegetables were crunchy and fresh and the meat was tender. Met my expectations. I would recommend. read more

This wasn't bad, but I doubt I'll be back. I popped in with the intention of doing takeout. The weather was cold, though, and the restaurant was empty, so I decided to dine in. It's a nice space-- very bright and clean with soothing music-- and the woman manning the cash register was pleasant and helpful in explaining the menu. I was a little bit confused about the setup. They have some prepared dishes set out cafeteria style at the front, so I assumed that my order would be ready right away, but it turns out that they cook most things to order. She said it would be about ten minutes, which was accurate. While I was waiting for my bento box, she brought out a nice sized bowl of miso soup. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm at best. Oddly, it was also served with a fortune cookie. Then came the bento box. I ordered general Tso's chicken with a seaweed salad. - The chicken was pretty good and only made better by the fact that it came right out of the fryer. There was plenty of meat and just a few pieces of broccoli, which I see as a plus. - The rice was a rice. - There were three gyoza, and I really liked them. Nice flavor and perfectly cooked. - By far the biggest disappointment was the seaweed salad. I had expected that I'd get... well, a seaweed salad. Not really. It was a big mound of iceberg lettuce with approximately a half a bite of seaweed on top. If this had been a proper portion, this definitely would have been four stars. Ultimately, this place gives you less food than the old Apollo, takes longer, is more expensive, and has less variety. The space is a lot nicer, though, and the food is a little fresher. read more

Nothing topping my Teriyaki tofu bento box. Been there for me through the highs and lows. I love how crispy the tofu is and the freshness and variety in the veggies in comparison to the dining hall at least. Get the veggie gyoza which tastes like a good ravioli. read more

Ordered the Classic Bento box with Sesame Chicken, Seaweed, Fried Rice, and Egg roll. Also got the Pan-fried Handmade Pork Dumplings. All the food was great, but the pork dumplings were definitely my favorite. They reminded me of the ones I used to get in the Greater Boston area. Sesame chicken was crispy and flavorful, the seaweed salad was wonderfully salty, but I do have to say the egg roll was pretty flavorless. The place is a bit pricey but in my opinion worth it with how much food you're getting in each bento box. read more

While Fusia Bento Bar doesn't necessarily serve the most amazing or home style asian dishes, it is very consistent and offers a very diverse menu. I have already been here multiple times and can say it's a not a bad option for your Chinese food cravings while in Collegetown. I have gotten the Braised Pork Donburi which is just Chinese 红烧肉. I thought the flavors were definitely very spot on and I enjoyed the dish overall but I found that there could've been more vegetables. Overall, I would recommend this to students who are craving Chinese food at a slightly lower price point than other restaurants in Collegetown. I also went for Saturday lunch and tried their lunch special that allows you to choose entrees from a wide variety of dishes (cafeteria style). This was not bad either, definitely satisfies my cravings for Chinese food! While Chinese options in Collegetown are slightly more limited, I enjoy that Fusia is located in a very confident location and it also offers consistent food (nothing to write home for but nothing bad either) at a reasonable price. read more

Haven't eaten in, only take out, but can say they have a wide selection for vegetarians & vegans -- like general Tso's tofu, general Tso's mock chicken, spicy veggie ramen, vegetable fried rice, & teriyaki tofu bento boxes! Everything was tasty. Really appreciated the brown rice being available too. Will order again! read more

Fusia Bento Bar is my go-to. Food from here satisfies me and makes me happy. Those are my criteria. I do not have high expectations or standards as long as it passes as legit Chinese food. This place is legit. Also the ramen takeout is packaged separately from the noodles. Just FYI. read more

nice interior and excellent value. huge array of chinese and japanese dishes to choose from. sizable portions and conveniently served in boxes. friendly, quick service but is self-seat and self-clean. read more

Terrible service. I paid $29 for 2 plates, and my girlfriend got her food in 2 min. Then they gave MY order to the other table (there were only 4 ppl in the whole restaurant), and I had to wait 25 minutes while my girlfriend's food got cold in front of us. When my food finally came, it was pork even though I ordered chicken, so they had to remake it. Unbelievable that I waited ~30 minutes while others who ordered later got their food before me. read more

Got the katsu don bento box. The chicken katsu itself was nothing special, but good enough for what I can get in collegetown. I loved the side dumplings and the miso soup that were included. Seaweed salad was good as well. A little pricey but the portions were pretty big. Price was comparable to other restaurants in Collegetown. Very homey ambiance, beautiful decor. Really made me miss home. Overall would come again--food was good for Collegetown standards. read more
